I had a very disappointing experience at this Discount Tire location. About 1.5 years ago, I replaced all four tires at another Discount Tire store. Recently, I visited this location because I got a flat. The technician informed me that since I didn't have a warranty for the flat replacement, and because the tire model I originally purchased had been discontinued, they recommended replacing the damaged tire with a new model. They also suggested replacing a second tire so both on that axle would match. Even though the second tire was perfectly fine, we agreed to their recommendation. We specifically told the technician to keep the good tire for us so we could take it home as a backup. However, when we returned to pick up the vehicle, we were told the tire had already been disposed of and was no longer at the facility. This was extremely frustrating because we had clearly asked for the tire to be saved. What made the experience worse was how the situation was handled afterward. We were passed around to four different staff members and managers, and not a single person took responsibility or offered a solution. There was no accountability and no effort to make things right. It felt like the focus was only on selling more tires rather than providing honest service or respecting customer requests. Unfortunately, the level of customer service and accountability here was extremely poor. Based on this experience, I would not trust what is promised at this location. Very disappointing. read more

I bought a full set of rims and tires for over $1600 about a year ago and I just got a nail in one so I needed it replaced. when I called to verify they had my tire they said it's on back order so I can just come in and get another swapped in no problem. I don't visit this location but I tried it out with it being closer to home. I brought my car in for the typical free rotation and balance. Service was quick but upon receiving my car back, my center caps were falling off. Clearly they broke them and just tried to stick em back on there and hope they'd stay on. When i asked about them, they told me the caps were worn down because of the SUN thats why the tabs in the center caps are suddenly broken after I handed off my keys to you. Probably the dumbest s$!t I ever heard especially when my vehicle is garage kept. No point in even arguing. No accountability nor did they offer to replace them. read more

Well, driving in from Houston for my daughter's AAU basketball tournament, we started having trouble on a Friday afternoon. My tire has not even reached 50% of warranty life (45,000 miles) expectancy at only 16,000 miles and the tire tore off. I call this location in which I purchased the warranty. I was informed that a replacement would have to be ordered since the needed tire was discontinued. I arrived to Discount tire only for them to deny that this was covered under my warranty. Waited at location the entire day until close with no updated E.T.A. Had to ask for update. Whole day waisted with no tires and gave me a quote for $542 for a replacement. Customer since late 80's. Worst treatment by the DT management staff, Steven and Tyler. Absolute jerks. This store at one time was customer friendly. Not anymore thanks to those two. Customer's price shop. Duh. I called them and worked with Daniel (the new guy, he was great and the only one that knows customer service). Tyler agreed to an out the door price for tires after Daniel discussed it with him. Arrive at the store and they (managers) try to bait-n-switch by trying to change the terms. I told them to cancel the appointment and started to leave. They agreed to honor the original quote. Left the SUV. Received a text that the vehicle is ready. Arrive at the store. They gave us the keys after we paid and told us the SUV is in the parking lot. Not only did they not drive it to the door as they had with two other customers but they parked the SUV in the farthest corner of the parking lot and did not QC the install because valve stem caps were missing or loose. Went to ntb down the street to get a run flat tire replaced at 5:40 thinking they closed at 7. They said they close at 6 and directed me down to discount tire down the street because they close at 8. Showed up thinking they close at 8:00. Tino checked me in with a smile and as I was waiting, I saw that they were cleaning up. I looked at the door and it shows they close at 6:00 pm. This Discount Tire location has let me down. I came here to rotate my tires. I have a full-size spare that I alternate with the other four wheels. When my car finished, I noticed the spare wheel wasn't rotated. I could tell because I remembered a few distinguish markings on the tire. I returned to the store, told them what had happened, and the car went back in line again for the work. When I got my vehicle back the second time, I noticed the spare tire was still not rotated. I informed the Discount Tire staff again, and their excuse was they could not find my lug nut key. Why couldn't someone call me? They have been caught in the act. I wonder if they even rotated my tires on the first round or did they pass my car through as complete without any work done. How many other vehicles have gone through unnoticed like this? Wife's car's tire pressure light came on so I drove out with the kids to get it checked out. Kids fell asleep by the time we made it out there so I pulled into the free air check area. There was about 25 mins until close. The guy waved me in to the garage so I pulled in and jumped out. I told him the tire indicator light came on and when I went to fill it up I heard a hissing noise. I asked if he could check for any nails. He tells me that he can add extra air in the tire to hold me over night and I can come back at 8a when they reopen. I told him I didn't have time to come back until after work tomorrow. He then tells me that the cold weather will make the tire lose 6-8 lbs and that he'll just add extra air. So I drive back home and I still hear the hissing noise. I look around on the tire and of course I see a screw. I get that they can't help that my wife drove over a screw but we've been long time customers of Discount and it's not a good look for them. I bout this tire from them, only a couple weeks ago. I'd love to get a refund so I can go somewhere else to purchase my tire. read more

Bought my tires here at a great price and for that I am thankful. The tires that I use need a rotation regularly. Every time I come to have these rotated they never rotate them properly or follow my instructions on what I want and have to really watch them other wise it will not be right. This last time I could not watch them as I had business calls to take and sure enough my tires were not rotated properly and now pulling to one side due to the wear and improper rotation. WATCH THESE GUYS and make sure they follow instruction. Of course they know all the things to say to cover their ass but I know where at least one of my tires were and they didn't put it where it was supposed to go. read more

I was told an hour and I see 2 people that came after me get their tires repaired before mine so not only was it over an hour I was skipped 2 times. DISCOUNT TIRES at the Sachse is trying to scam female clients,. not an honest business. Yesterday when my wife took the vehicle there for the tire rotation, the agent could not find her account in the system and told her that the tire are worn out and need of immediate replacement a price of $700+. My wife informed the agent that the tires were replaced last year, therefore they are under warranty. the agent denied the existence of her account and insisted on the need of replacement for 700+ dollar. Until I called the agent to provide more details on the account and discussed the issue, then he changed the diagnosis of the condition of the tire to be "good" without further action besides rotation.
