I have purchased four sets and quoted a ninety-minute wait for both puncture and rotation repairs. As far as Value, I would rather pay an extra $50-$100 for a set of tires that can help extend the life of the tires. In Dec 2024, had a bad tire which they gave me a new one. Fast forward to April 2025, had a flat, called AAA who came to change it only to find my lug nut tool missing so had to have it towed home. Next day after speaking to Robert who told me they had lots of boxes of lug nut tools that he was sure they had one for my car. I told him i was sure they did because they apparently kept mine. Towed the car to get it fixed & get my lug nut tool. If you go to this location, make sure you get any tools they use that belong to you back! I will NEVER go to this location again. read more

Had a tire with a nail in it. Couldn't get a gummy replacement due to the radial wires being so tight. So I put the nail back in with the gummy at the head of the nail to reduce air leaks. I figured if i bought two new tires this would be easy to get done in a hour. As soon as the sales guy comes out he says I need a new tire and they can't fix tires with gummies. Said it was at the head of the nail just to hold it in and not in the tire. He did say he would look at it. 20 minutes later they say they can't fix the tire. They didn't even try and if they had looked they would have seen the gummy was not in the tire. So instead they over inflated the tire and I got it fixed down the street. Also their tires were overpriced by 30 dollars. Don't recommend ever doing anything with this store. Go to another discount tire or swing over the bridge to rowlett. read more

I was told my run flat was repairable. That's not recommended by the manufacturer of the tire. I was told to bring my car on in but never told I would have to wait 2.5 - 3 hours before I would even get my car looked at. But then told the journey tracker was correct and I would get my car in between 5:35-5:55 pm. This is my second bad encounter with Discount Tire within a month Their customer service and communication sucks! Just be straight forward and tell the truth. They ask for your phone nunber to send you a text when its done. They didnt. I had to walk 30mins right back before they closed when i couldve walked back 30mins earlier... and then they dont clear your flat tire after changing it or check any of the other tire pressures my left one was 26 when i got there and left. When tires should be at 35. Then i come back a few days later to get it cleared and the guy is outside for 1min and as soon as he sits in my car he turns my air all the way down to 60 and the speed all the way up with the door open like who tf are you. Your not paying for that air i asked you to clear something which takes a couple minutes. Like be fr you got that hot that fast. I hope i never go here again. Most tire brands are available at fair prices. If you choose the Road-Hazard Warranty, they are good about honoring it. If you decline the R-H warranty, they still honor the pro-rata mileage warranty. They have always treated me fairly. They have many basic aftermarket wheels. If you want domething exotic, or a lot larger than factory sizes - you will need to buy those elsewhere. Get an appointment if possible, but still expect to wait - they stay busy. Avoid weekend days if possible; they are very busy. I've used Discount Tire for decades, but hesitated to review such an established company. It is like reviewing WalMart; everyone already knows the pros & cons. But after a recent disaster with a competing tire company, I realized that Discount Tire may not be exciting or new, but the fact that they are FAIR is a huge plus. read more

Had a flat tire and went to get a patch. It was me and my 3 year old son. We lived further away and they had a couple of minutes before closing.. last time I checked when it's that closing time, that is when the job is over not before then. The two young boys (one with glasses the other is Indian or Hispanic) told me they didn't have time to patch it and one even tried to say it wasn't repairable at all. I begged them since I lived farther away and they replied "you can go inside and try but I doubt anyone will help you". We were passing through town with our 5th wheel when the tire pressure monitor told me one of the trailer tires was loosing air. Discount Tire was the closest Tire Store and boy and I glad they were. Although the waiting room and parking lot was packed, they got me in about 30 minutes, replaced a tire stem and had me on the road in less than an hour. I arrived at 7:40 the day of my appointment to find several people already waiting for them to open at 8:00. They opened the doors at 7:45 and VERY EFFICIENTLY took care of each person that was waiting. They asked me what I needed and I stated that I had an appointment. I picked up a piece of metal in the side of my tire. Wasn't losing air. Took it right over. I had the road hazard Warrenty so they said no problem, except they had to order the tire from a different store. Ok. I waited till the next day and called. It's not here yet, maybe Monday or Tuesday. Ok. Wednesday I called cause they had not. I see where they ordered it, but it's not here. Let me put in another order. I called again on Sunday. Didn't say it was there, but he said he would go look because it should be there. And it was! I took it in close to close and they got it on in about 15 minutes. The guys there are nice and quick moving. They need to work on the call back and checking of orders. I have often had this problem with this chain. This place did their job so well! I found a tiny screw in my front, passenger side tire that was causing my tire light to come on. I could get by, through pumping air into it every 2-3 days until I could make it over to Discount Tire to get it repaired. They opened at 8 a.m., but when I got there at 7:50 a.m. the shop was already working in full force. I asked John, the man helping me, about their opening schedule, and he said they try to open a little early on Saturdays to keep up with the weekend rush. I was in and out of there in about an hour and a half, which i believe to be pretty normal without an appointment. If you want to avoid the line/wait, I would recommend making an appointment on their website... that's what I'm going to do next time. Absolutely AWFUL service. Went in to get rims I bought mounted to the current tires I have. I was quoted $180 on the phone, went in and was charged $380 and sold a package I told them I didn't want. I called the Terrell store to get an quote for the same thing and was quoted 197.26. After get that my truck back, and telling them I was told "it's because we are a high volume store" so another 15 minutes of arguing I was asked why I didn't just go there, refunded for the package, and told to just go there next time. My tire light came on as I was driving so I went to the Discount Tire we usually go to. I was greeted horribly by Larry who proceeded to yell at me and the very elderly lady behind me. He told us that the 18 wheeler takes priority and we can leave. Proceeded to wave and say "bye" "leave" "don't come back" as he was yelling at the elderly lady to back up and leave. I had a nail in my tire. I arrived to the location with well over an hour and a half before they closed and was told they did not have time to fix it today. There were at least 4 employees leaning against a truck doing nothing. I purposely bought my tires from this location so that I could take advantage of their maitnence and warranty. Instead I was sent home with no repairs. Well I went to a different location the next day and it turns out all they had to do was pull the nail out it wasn't causing any damage to my tire at all. I have had a low tire pressure light on my car for about a week and I wanted to stop by to ask them if they could see what the tire pressure was because it sometimes changes with the weather. After being ignored by the Rockwall Honda service center, I took my car to Discount Tires of Rockwall and they checked my tire pressure with a great attitude even though they were closing in the next ten minutes. One of my tires had a tire bubble in it and they told me that my car was no longer safe to drive and that I needed to replace it. I ended up needing a whole new tire and asked if I wanted the others replaced since the tread was low without any questions asked as they said "your safety is our number one priority" and they stayed after they were closed to make sure that I was safe to drive with a brand new tires. I cannot recommend this location enough. I would give them 10 stars if I could. James and his team did incredible. read more

I generally like this place and like the service but the music they play here leaves much to be desired - especially if you're going on an hour waiting for them to take a nail out of your tire. I don't really have anything bad to say except that I wished they played something other than religious music. I have nothing against Christianity but come on people, can't you play some more mainstream type tunes? When I asked to speak to the manager about it, the young man at the counter said that the music selection was dictated by their regional office in Plano. He said SEVERAL showed up within 5 minutes of me calling! 45 turned into 3.5 hour minimum. He also told me no other discount tire is less than 3.5 hours. I normally go to the Greenville Discount Tire where I live, and never had a complaint. But Rockwall had the tires in stock for my wife's car so I made the online appointment for 2pm. I arrived at 1:35 and had to wait inline for 10 minutes to get to the counter. The Online Appointment worked well until I asked how long it would take and Nick said 45 minutes. At 2:30 they finally drive the car into the bay. The car was done almost an hour later, the tires and wheels were filthy, they don't wipe anything down or clean up the new tires they just sold, and when I got home to clean them up a TPMS Valve Cap was missing, which they had just rebuilt all 4, and 1 Center Hubcap was only halfway on... They need a line just for Appointments and all the techs need to address the customers waiting, 2 people walked out that were inline in front of me, and completely ignored. read more

I have been going to Discount Tire for many years to have my tires rotated, balanced and purchased because I like their way of doing business and friendly and professional employees. I would like to give a big shout out to Pat, the manager of the Rockwall, TX Discount Tire. He is not one who hides in the back office, he is literally getting his hands dirty in the work bays and assisting customers. Recently I damaged the sidewall of my front tire. I drove over to Discount Tire with the spare on to get a price on 4 new tires since the tread was low on the remaining. Pat saw me in line to get helped and came out and asked for my keys. He got my car brought in the bay to get checked out then came out and worked with Nate to get me a good price on new tires. They were not in stock, however they could get them the next day. The next day went back after getting a call saying the tires were in. Walked in the door, Pat asked for my keys and had his techs start on my car. In about 10 minutes, he had all four tires mounted, balanced and reset the TPMS. I was shocked.
