Had an appointment for tire rotation and inspection for possible tire replacement. Checked in on line and was greeted with a line of 10 customers waiting to be taken care of. I waited 25 minutes and no one asked if I had an appointment or greeted anyone ahead of me in line. A customer waiting for his car to be done said he had an appointment and still waited 3 hours. Waste my money, don't waste my time. I left and gave the appointment to the guy behind me. I am amending my review based on the quick contact from customer service. Everybody at this store was amazing. The store manager Justin, was extremely helpful and very friendly. I walked in the store about 5:45 PM hoping that they would be able to look at my tire, even though they were about to close. They didn't hesitate to tell me that they could absolutely check out my tire. What's even better is that they found a nail in another tire, making two tires needing to be looked at. Thankfully, they were able to patch both tires and finished within less than 30 minutes. I would absolutely recommend the store as all the employees were extremely friendly! read more

Called in to get a price and schedule an alignment for my truck this morning. Asked if I should get my tires rotated and balanced from big no (since I have their brand tires and wouldn't cost me extra). They said no need, they'll take care of me! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They not only rotated and balanced my tires, but also pulled a nail/screw out and aligned my front end ALL for 89.99 as promised. That was $30 cheaper than the competition for a 1 time alignment and they went above and beyond to make sure my experience was exactly as it should be. Took my daughter's old tire for a new one. We got there waited in line and all they did was stare at us like if we begging for help, No one was in front of us. I looked at my daughter and she gave me the eye. Keeping my kool I explained that we needed one tire replaced and that's all. I believe the manager was Justin, anyway he took our old tire and rim took it to the shop. He stated that it'll be around 3 hours which was fine I could pick it up later. I gave him my daughter's phone number so he can text us when it's done! At home we get a text and it was only 35 minutes passed when I dropped the tire I told my daughter that it way too soon because of all the cars they had in the shop. Recently had a great experience here. I don't live in San Tan Valley but had this Discount Tire put new tires on my BMW because the tax rate is low and because they have great reviews. The person I dealt with was super thorough and made sure the tires I ordered online were the correct size and whatnot. After that, the process was super quick and they had me out of there relatively fast. Very happy with my tire purchase (went with Michelin Pilot Run Flats) and I like them better than that Goodyear tires that came with the car. read more

I just have to let everyone know about my amazing experience at Discount Tire on Hunt Highway in San Tan Valley, Arizona. As a woman walking into an auto shop or tire shop, you can't help but feel like, "Oh great, what are they going to try to get me to buy or get done right now that I don't need?" Or always being tricked or assumed that I don't know anything about cars as a woman, that's been my experience. If I'm being honest, nowadays, customer service can be kind of a drag just about everywhere you go. Immediately when I came in, Jeffery was helping me. He was not trying to tell me that I need to buy all 4 new tires and showed such kindness. Instead, he said for sure one of them needed to be replaced as I had thought, but at another shop, the person was adamant I needed to get all changed right away when I had just come in for one that had a nail in it. They also do a price match there that proved extremely helpful as Jeffery walked me through it. He never looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about. He went above and beyond his job duties to help me. He treated me like I'm a part of his family and how he wanted to be treated: fairly, with compassion, and respect. Unfortunately, drove over to this Discount Tire today and didn't have great experience. Website says all Discount Tires have labeled area/bay for no appointment needed tire pressure adjustments and tread wear depth checks. Didn't see any such thing at this location, so parked and walked in to check. Waiting room had 2-3 people in it. No one greeted me and front desk folks kinda avoided making any eye contact with me, nor asked me if they could help. Being handicapped, I sat down in lobby chair. After 5 mins of waiting, I got up and left. No help offered. Despite fact there wasn't really anyone in waiting room, I'd recommend calling ahead and making an appointment for this kind of service. I took my SUV in for a new set of tires and by the time I got to Olive Garden fifteen minutes later with the wife and ordered lunch they texted me and said they were done! I brought in my wife's card to get her 4 tires changed. Process was seamless for the most part, they tried to upsell me on better tires, but I declined and got them put on within an hour with no problems. The problem occurred a few days later when my wife got in her car, and it very obviously smelled of smoke. We have a relatively new car 2020 Jeep Compass, and it is the only car that we use to take around our 17 month old. When my wife called to inquire about the smoke, the manager, Justin, told her that he asked around his crew and NOBODY SMOKES on their staff, which is a hilarious lie, and he told her that she could change out the cabin air filter. Besides that, he said "I don't know what else I can do for you." (I heard the voicemail). He apologized, but sounded relatively annoyed and monotone. What percentage of Discount Tire employees smoke or vape worldwide on average? 50%? 75%? It's HAS to be pretty high, so the notion that nobody smokes on his staff is ludicrous. He also had some story that some random guy was smoking a cigar that day in the waiting area, so maybe that could be the cause of the smoke inside the car? He seriously said this. As far as something you could do for us? How about YOU change out the cabin air filter, because my wife sure as fuck isn't doing it. It means I'm doing it, Justin. Plenty of places to get your tires changed in the Valley, and I won't be back to this one. Not everyone in the world smokes, but if there's any industry where the majority of people DO smoke, it's the auto repair industry. TL;DR- stay way from this location. Too inexperienced and will not tell you when they damage your car. Biggest mistake. When I got a nail in one of my "new to me car" tire I took it to this location close to my house. Past experiences with discount tire have been great. Including one incident where the Gilbert location went out of there way to rescue my Wolfe and kids from a dead battery in a nearby parking lot. No charge and for that I will be forever grateful. This time however I decided to buy 4 new tires with road hazard since my one damaged by the nail could not be repaired. After it taking 24hrs to get the tires in the size I needed they were mounted and balanced. After picking up the car I noticed a new vibration over 40 mph. I ended up taking the car back 3 times because they didn't bother to clean the beads and remove stickers causing my low tire pressure warning indicator to come on once a week. The last time I brought it back they finally seem to have addressed the two tires that had been loosing air but still failed to balance them properly. To make matters worse after getting the car home I discovered the lower panel behind the passengers side front tire is now dented and coming out. I looked back at photos I took when I got the car to confirm this was not just something I hadn't noticed. So now my joy in driving my car has been ruined by the improper work direct tire has done. I am looking for a new tire shop to properly balance my tires and a body shop to repair the damage they caused. Do yourself a favor and find a better place with proper car lifts (not floor jacks) to service your tires. read more

Six weeks ago I needed new tires and though they didn't have the brand I was looking for, Jonathan walked me thru the tires for my vehicle and walked me thru the process including the tire certificate which I was so happy I purchased. Today I'm the first waiting for them to open bc I hit a pothole and it created a bulge on my tire. Guess who opens the door, none other than Jonathan. My tire was covered and I only had to pay the certificate for the new tire. He also had the rim checked to make sure it wasn't damaged. I called on a Friday afternoon after Big O tire told me i didn't have an appointment, even though i made it 3 weeks before and called them to check right before i left work at noon. Not only did they not have any record of my appointment, they did not have my tires & told me they would need to order them and wait 3 weeks to get them plus i needed to pay 50% of the costs before they would order them. On top of that they had quoted me $983 for replacing my four tires. Suddenly, today it was going to cost me $1,599. Enter Discount Tire where i have always gone to in the past on Hunt highway in San Tan Valley. They not only showed that they had 7 of my tired in stock on line, but they verified it on the phone by checking for the tires right there and gave me an appointment for an hour later. I drove over right away, and checked in and 2 minutes later they had my Highlander up in the air and changing all 4 tires out. I got text message updates every five minutes, and my car was out front waiting for me out front in half the time they quoted me. This place was the busiest tire store i have ever been to in my life. Everybody was busting their butts and the young man that worked on my car was very professional and really knew what he was doing. But the real treasure at this store was the front counter people! They were flipping customers left & right, and were bending over backwards to accommodate the 30 or so customers and every one of them was working hard just as pleasant as they could be and well mannered too. They were all working together as a team and were smiling the entire time. The place was truly the Nordstroms of tire shops. Nice job everyone! read more

Just got my tires done early this morning. It started off great they said I would be in and out within 45 minutes but it didn't turn out like that. We ended up being there for almost 2 hours because my wife already purchased the tires while they were putting them on but she accidentally chose the Queen Creek location. Me and my children were pretty much held there till they fixed the issue even though we already paid and there was nothing else they needed from me. The biggest issue was what they did to my rims which I will be reaching out to corporate because this happened with my Lexus at the Queen Creek location. I thought I would give this location a try because of my experience at Queen Creek and I regret it deeply. My rims are 24" inches so they are not cheap and they are black so when you scrape them it's very easy to tell. I would avoid this location and unfortunately I don't think I'll ever use discount tire nor will I tell anyone to go to discount tire! read more

I needed 4 tires for my SUV. I priced the tires over the phone and then scheduled in advance with this store. The price was what they quoted but to my surprise, they didn't mention anything to me about the tire pressure monitor light (TPM) being addressed. I didn't bring it up at the time I dropped it off as I assumed they would either reset the light or ask to fix or repair any that might be bad. I picked up my vehicle and to my chagrin, the dash light was still on. I asked the clerk why they didn't address this issue and he replied that they just replaced the tires as per the quote. I advised him that I rely on their expertise and guidance and if there was an upsell that was needed to fix the TPM's, then I assumed they would call me (I went to lunch while they did the install) to advise me of this optional repair. Based on time constraints, I wasn't able to stay for the added repair. Each wheel costs $60 and he said he could do them for $45 (but not until I asked for some concessions due to their error). I then researched and other competitor's can rebuild the TPM for about $8 per wheel... First world problems I know, but aside from prompt service and a reasonable price for 4 tires, some attentiveness and knowledge on the TPM issue would have been helpful for my older, but well kept Lexus RX350. read more

This is the only tire shop in the entire planet that goes above and beyond. They don't push to sell products although they do offer but up to you type thing. And very friendly and really really tries to help you. I rarely give positive feedback but these guys are just wow. I also seen them help other folks and doesn't matter if old or young man or woman they fully help you. If you have trauma from other tire places, come here and you'll be impress. Just drop your car off or stay and chill and you'll be taken care of. No side BS or nonsense. Service, customer first and they listen to you. Also if you listen to the techs fixing your tires, are all happy too. If you live far enough and reading this, it is worth the drive. There's no such thing as you told us the issue but there's another issue type thing. Nope you get in, whatever the issue is will be fixed. No extra sauce. Amazing!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Long story short I was not offered a resolution until I called the POLICE TO FILE THEFT CHARGES. Even then. After being there first thing in the morning, I did not get a call from corporate with the resolution until 530 pm. I recently purchased 5 truck tires from a different seller, tires that Discount did not offer within the timeframe I wanted them, however I went to this store to have them mounted. Now mind you, I was only upgrading tires because I wanted beefier all terrain tires. The tires that were previously on my truck were brand new Cooper Discover Ht tires (since I just bought this truck) , but they were just not what I needed. I asked the attendant to remove those tires and throw them in the back of the truck because I had a buyer lined up for those tires later that day. At my surprise once the tires I brought in were mounted and balanced, I was informed that they could not return the ones they just removed. Somehow in the same time it took them to install the new tires they also got rid of the tires they removed. They sent them away on their tire truck and couldn't get them back. I offered to come back in a few hours but the attendant stated he could not guarantee they could get my tires back. At this point I was beyond frustrated. So I asked for my tires back, or the equivalent of the price I was selling the tires for to my private buyer. $600. These were 5 Cooper Discover Ht tires, which Discount actually measured during the service and indicated they were new, they still had the nubs. Brian Black, the sale manager did not suggest a resolution, semblance of a lifeline OR suggestion that he cared to fix the problem. He and Discount Tire as a whole showed absolutely no empathy to try to resolve the issue, they had a bad attitude as if my frustration was unfounded and unwarranted. Their customer service was lacking in every way. I called the police to report a theft, when the police arrived to Discount Tire the attendant had solution which was not previously offered. He indicated the truck that took the tires was locked and could not be accessed until Wednesday, at which point they would TRY to locate the tires and return them, otherwise would pay me.the equivalent of the value I would receive from my private sale. The sales manager at that point agreed to write me out a receipt specifying they took my tires. The police indicated if Wednesday came and I did not have my property back they would then file charges. I got home and called corporate and finally spoke with someone in the position to fix the problem the first question Ryan Sparey asked was " I understand we messed up the resell of your tires?" This was never to do about the resell of the tires, or the value I placed on them for resell. The entire issue, and even the reason behind this review is because Discount Tire removed my property from the premises, stole my property, offered no resolution, and expected to okie dokie me out the door. When I finally got my tires back I was give 5 tires, one of which was bald and undriveable. My property was not returned in the same condition at all. I am still out one tire. read more

I walk into discount tire pretty busy on a Saturday waited only about five minutes before I was helped. Don't know the gentleman's name but very polite and super helpful didn't try and push me on more tires or services or a higher price tire. Just as I am about to swipe my card a fellow by the name of Justin decided he wanted to be a part of our business. Justin asks why I want the tire I selected. Well Justin it's what I've always run on my car with no issues. I didn't tell Justin I used to work at a tire shop for 3 years. This fine human being then recommends a different brand of tire for me! No way! Guess what they were trash Goodyear tires that were more than the Toyos I selected. Good try Justin I know you guys get certain and higher commissions on certain brands. At least be up front and tell me you make money of the Goodyears don't tell me I'm going to get 20,000 more miles. If you go to this location steer clear of Justin. Other than him no issues.
