!st Chaz was good to deal with. After Chaz looking at my tires he stated that because they were 5 years old and had some tiny cracks starting to show on the sidewall that he felt it was time to replace the tires. He gave me a price which we excepted and paid. At that time I noticed the young workers in the shop and thought maybe I would change my mind. I didn't and left the car, the next afternoon we came to pick up the car and all looked ok. I brought the car to my shop and noticed there were 2 tires low on pressure and 3 valve caps were missing and one center cap was broken. We did know that we were missing 2. Unfortunately, I think it's pretty obvious, and car mechanics/service/sales reps can spot this lack of vehicle-education. So I'm pretty vulnerable and it's easy to oversell or take advantage... They cost me 208.00 dollars. Had tire rotation and balance appointment at 3232 e cactus. While waiting manger came and told me 1 lug nut was cross treaded but they could get it off. If it was cross threaded, you guys did it last time. You are the only ones who do my tires, bought my fuel rims on the truck from you as well. Or did your guy bust it. Mistakes happen. I drove down from up north to get tires from this location because of how friendly the staff was. It was absolutely worth the drive. Luke the manager and Chaz the assistant manager were so extremely helpful as well as the rest of their staff. You can tell that they have created an amazing work atmosphere and their employees were happy to be at work and making the best of their day. It was apparent that they had several regulars and treated them and all of the other customers like family and remembered their names and previous conversations with those customers. There was a disgruntled gentleman that came in and had been to 2 other locations earlier that day and needed an issue resolved and Chaz immediately took care of him and got him back on the road, his problem solving and customer service skills were fantastic as the gentleman was not easy to deal with. Ordered 4 tires. Returned to have them installed. Brought my new tire pressure monitors. Installer failed to read instructions. Installer installed new TPMs, but put back my old tires. Realized this a few miles later. Returned to Discount Tire. 2 installers installed my new tires (backing up the whole store and customers). 2 tires had correct pressures with acorn valve caps. 2 tires were overinflated with rubber valve caps. Had to return again to get my matching silver caps. Two return trips for what should have been a one appointment job. No apology or any response from Discount Tire. read more

I walked in the store at 8:00 AM this morning. I told the tech I think I have slow leak. He checked the pressure on all my tires. He said it would take about an hour to check all my tires. They found a nail my front right tire. When inspection was completed they said you are all set. I asked how much. They no charge. They did repair the tire. I done have much to say. My tire was low on air and I used the service to check my air on my tires. It was fast and easy to do. The only drawback was there was a large delivery going on so it was hard to leave. I tried to different times and each time I was leaving the truck that was the also leaving or so I thought each time I tried to leave he would move the truck with me next's to him. We went to the store at 13742 W Bell Rd in Surprise. We had a flat tire and they got us in and repaired the flat in about an hour and half. When checking out we asked what happened and the manager get the tech and explained it was a screw in the tire. Then asked how much and manager said its been taken care of! I've always been a Discount Tire fan, but this was my first visit to this particular location. It was no surprise that the same fast and friendly service I am used to from other locations was present here! I was bordering the recommend age/tread guidelines for replacement, so I decided to bite the bullet and get four new tires. After a quick tire inspection, the guy helping me was super nice and recommended a few different options for replacement. I was able to land on a quality tire without totally breaking the bank. It all started when I came for a tire pressure check as it said one was low They checked the car and told me my wheels were all dry rotted so I would need to replace - I said wow I just bought the car one year ago brand new so was surprised. I called the manufacturer and they said if I went back to discount tire direct they would prorate it for all (4) tires no problem. I called discount tire they said they would work on it and get right back to me. I never heard back but I get it it's busy that happens. So then I called and the notes the guy said he added somehow went missing and they said I'd have to come back for another inspection - so I did and I bought all (4) tires / same brand so I would get the adjustment and paid $1400 Then came the time to prorate - they said they would handle for all (4) and would get back to me by Monday. Again I get it places get busy so I called Wednesday. Finally he said he would call and get it taken care of right away. He calls me back and says he will only now cover (2) - of course once I paid to replace all (4) based on the fact they said they were dry rotted and he claims how (2) weren't. He said to come back any time and he will give me the 25% on (2) I go back in about (2) weeks later and he goes "wow so that's been a while" - I patiently wait behind all of the people needing more detailed things for my simple receipt adjustment. I don't know why he felt like guilting me for following their advice and the car tire manufacturers advice after being their customer for the past (3) cars I've owned without fail. Going to consider somewhere else next time as this isn't the service I've known them for in the past but I've now dealt with them 3-4 times on this issue and won't be treated like that when I give them years of $$$ business. There were other issues but simply put / they told me they were dry rotted and trashed to replace all (4) / tried to deter me from the discount then said the other (2) weren't dry rotted / made me jump through several hoops / made me feel bad and made me come back several times / wasting lots of my time and not upholding what was originally said (3) times read more

Recently purchased a used minivan and thanks to the service guys they discovered 3 of my tires were bad plus two of the lug nuts frozen, not removable. They suggested an alternate garage in Phx for replacing the bad wheel studs which turned out to be an awesome referral! This particular Discount Tire store has the most experienced employees and best customer service in the area, and I've been to several Discount Tire stores in the NE Valley this year, including the one next door to their corporate HQ. The employees I worked with here were able to expertly answer my very detailed questions about the condition of my old tires and the tires I was looking for, and were courteous the whole time. They were reasonable when we talked about price. My tires had to be ordered, which they did right away, and kept me in the loop several times during the 6 weeks it took for all 4 tires to arrive. They then finished installing the tires within 2 hours of me dropping off my vehicle, and called me right away to tell me my car was ready. I brought in my classic car to have the tires balanced and rotated and can't stress enough how fantastic my experience was with Jimmie and Justin. They took the time to explain the potential issues they could run in to in working on my 60 year old car but were up for the challenge. They emphasized to me how the appointment would likely take longer than a standard rotation /balancing appointment due to my classic cars' special hubcaps and rear fender skirts. Due to these added complexities they determined it would be best to assign the more experienced tech to work on the car who wasn't ready at the start time of my appointment slot which I greatly appreciated and relaxed me that the car would be in good hands since the car is likely older than all of the employees at the store. All in all I received top notch service and care from both guys and the full team today on a very special car. I bring my other daily drivers to this location over the other discount tire locations that are half the distance from my house for this excellent service not to mention more available appointments and a way better parking lot situation as compared to other central phoenix locations like camelback & 18th st. read more

I just purchased four new tires from discount tire six months ago .....and then last night I was driving on the highway and one of the tires blew out. There was obviously a defect in the tire.... I took it back to discount tire and they wanted to charge me $85 to replace the tire because they said it was prorated..... how do you prorate a defective tire? I was not happy that they were making me pay this fee and I'm not sure if I will return to them again because I don't think I should've had pay anything after only six months and spending over $1000... they did go all out and take off the $20 installation fee but I was still left to pay $65 which I think was inappropriate and not good customer service. read more

I pulled in at 5:05 pm on a Saturday. Even though they closed at 5 pm they checked my tire anyway. It was unrepairable so they put my spare tire on until I could return on Monday for a new tire. Came just before they opened at 8 am and stood Outside with two other customers...doors open exactly at 8 AM. Came in as a walk-in to get the free tire rotation and air check service. I need new tires so the employee helping me was very patient as I wrote things down because I need to talk to my husband about the options. The one thing I'm disappointed in is that he's not allowed to print out paper quotes so that I can just take it home. I have gone to other places where it's no problem to get a print out of a quote so I'm not sure why he can't do it here. I know it's weird to be a fan of a tire chain, but someone clearly has a good handle on staff training at this company. I normally go to the one on Camelback, but this one is actually closer and has a much better parking lot. The one thing that is the same is the excellent service. All of the employees are genuinely friendly, courteous and efficient. There's no intimidation or pressure, and it's like once you've bought tires from them, they still "own" them - free balance/rotation/repairs, etc. I know most companies do that, but the drive-up air checks in particular are really great. They always encourage me to go once a month - preventative care at its cheapest and easiest! My one very strong recommendation is that unless it's an emergency, always make a reservation in advance. If you have a reservation, you're typically in and out for a service/repair within an hour. Without, you could be in for a long wait. They have free water and WiFi though! read more
