During my walk-in visit after purchasing a four-tire and wheel package online, I was greeted at the door by a new associate. Although I had a scheduled appointment for two days later, I was encouraged to come to the store if I was flexible. They called to confirm that all my items were there. The associate was friendly, and the manager informed me that she was still in training. She quickly assisted me with the check-in and paperwork. Given that it was a walk-in appointment, the estimated service time was impressively accurate at 90 minutes. However, I did notice that the bathroom did not have a working soap dispenser. As I was leaving, I realized that she had forgotten to charge me for the alignment, which I pointed out and paid for. However, after driving about five miles away, I noticed that the alignment had not properly centered the steering wheel; it was noticeably off, around the 1:30 position. I had an appointment on Thursday for a tire with a slow leak to be repaired. Two days later and the tire is down more than 10psi. Previously, it took about 3 months for it to fall by 7psi. So, I called the store and explained what was going on and that told I was on my way there to have it fixed again. They said "see you when you get here". Once I get there I'm told it'll be over 3 hours to complete it. I ask when the next available appointment is and am told Monday at 2:30pm or so (I can't remember the exact time but definitely after 2:00pm). I told him I'd just schedule it online and he then offered 2 earlier appointments on Monday if I needed it earlier. Before leaving the parking lot I had one of the workers add air to the tire. When he was checking the pressure in all the tires he told me there was definitely a leak in the right rear tire (conveniently the one I had come in to be fixed for a second time). I explained the situation to him and was told sorry and "I'll see you when I see you". Multiple people aware of the issue and no one was willing to make it right. My appointment was at 8:45 a.m., I was told it would take an hour. I finally left at 10:15 a.m. Plus, they heat was out and I froze for 2 hours. Maybe they should not tell you it would be under an hour when they can't follow through. I replaced all 4 tires at Discount Tire at the same time. Within a month, I noticed a slow leak and went in to ask about it. They remounted that tire. In the same visit, they beat that rim up throwing it to the concrete intentionally and gave no explanation for that behavior. Within a couple months, I found 3 of the tires were slow leaking. I went back, and Discount Tire told me my alloy "rims were going bad". I used fix-a-flat to slow the leaks down, but they still persisted to need air weekly. Finally, having the car in at another shop, a mechanic noticed the tread was fine, but the tires had severe cracking between the treads. This is a sign of manufacturing defects that can easily cause blowouts. I replaced all 4, and no surprise, no more leaks. I will never go back to Discount Tire again. They lie and fail to take responsibility for bad products. read more

Above and beyond service! I brought my Tesla into have the tires rotated and didn't realize that it needed special pucks to help it get lifted with the jacks. First time customer here, and within the first 30 seconds of arriving, I was screamed at by an employee (who appeared to be the manager) as if I was a cadet in boot camp. This employee was an extremely rude, hot head. At my usual dealership there's one bay with a desk and computer that's designated for checking in your vehicle. Since I had never been to this location (or to any Discount Tire), I wasn't familiar with the process and noticed an open bay at the end that looked like a check in area. I was arriving at the exact time of my appointment. Since I was not positive of where to go, I was creeping as slow as possible and made eye contact with an employee who appeared to motion me forward. All of the sudden another employee, who had been looking at a tire on the ground (nowhere near the other employee) leaps up and starts loudly screaming at me. As he came to my window, I calmly said "I haven't been here before and the gentleman back there was motioning me forward." Again, he responds by literally screaming back like a drill sergeant "NO HE DIDN'T! TURN AROUND AND PARK OVER THERE!" I was appalled at such behavior. If I ever screamed at my clients in that manner, I would be fired on the spot or never hired again. This rude employee appeared to be the manager as he was the only one wearing a red shirt and seemed to be running the show. If I'm wrong, I hope the actual manager reads this and can address the issue with their employee. Let this review serve as your red flag and stay away. We found a nail in our tire, but we weren't sure how deep it went. We didn't seem to be leaking air too quickly, yet we still wanted to get it checked out ASAP. I went on Discount Tire's website hoping to make an appointment, but they were all booked up for 2021. They do accept walk-ins so I took a chance and headed down. The parking lot was nearly full. I went inside and it was very busy. Still they were able to see to me within a few moments. I explained what was going on to the employee. He wasn't able to get me in for 3 hours, but did offer to take a look at the tire and see how bad the nail puncture was. He tested the nail with soapy water and no bubbles. He slowly pulled the nail out and kept testing it. Turns out it was only a half nail and only punctured the tread. He took all this extra time and effort for someone who didn't even have an appointment. Instead of waiting 3+ hours to find this out, he had me in and out within 10 minutes and didn't charge me. My wife came home from our auto repair shop with an estimate for some A/C work and for removing a nail from a tire. I knew Discount Tire offers free repair, so I set up an appointment. Kevin checked me in and asked to see it. As soon as he did I could tell he had an idea. He asked if it was leaking. Since my wife drives it most I wasn't sure, but I didn't think it had been. So he heads in to the repair bays, brings out some solution and pliers, telling me it looks to him like a short screw that didn't go through. Sure enough, he soaked the area and no bubbles formed, so he pulled it out, and checked again, and no bubbles. Next thing I know I'm on my way home. Best auto service ever! I had a great experience! It was easy and painless to find, order, pay and make an appointment all online. I made the appointment yesterday for today at 3:00 PM. I showed up at 2:50 and they greeted me in the parking lot by name and estimated getting it back in 45 to 60 minutes ... 30 minutes later ... Done! I did comparisons to Ford and Costco thinking about nationwide places in case we move. Costco had nothing in stock that I wanted, and Ford had only three tire types to select from. Absolutely love this place! First off...I don't like having to buy tires. Michael at Discount Tire first helped me with a flat fix for free. That went a long way! Almost a year later, I needed help replacing tires on my 12 yr old Chevrolet Equinox. The service was great and fast. Unfortunately ended up totaling it a month later due to an accident. However, when I bought a new truck, I came back to Discount Tire and worked with Michael and Jay on getting the the best tires for my New Truck based on my needs. It's nice to find a place that is knowledgeable and confident on their recommendations to their customers. They understand that as customers we don't know all the technical aspects of tires, and they are willing to educate us. I will continue to be a customer for Discount tire going forward! As with most repair shops and tire places, beware of the up sell, exaggerations, and sexism. I needed front tires but I was told my back tires were a 4 (they are a 6) and that it is Illegal to drive in Nebraska on a 3 or less (it's not). After repeatedly stating I only wanted front tires today, I pulled the "gotta call my husband" card and magically when I came back I was allowed to buy just two tires. Tires look fine, service was quick, but I should not have to google Nebraska tire condition statue to make sure I'm not being taken advantage of. read more

There isn't a Discount Tire in Lincoln so When I need tires are usually try and come to Omaha to this location because I know I'm going to get the best price and best service. Also, I will usually pay the slight additional fee in order to get their certificate, which lets you replace a tire for free if something happens to it. I have used the certificate a couple times, and since there are discount tires all over the country it's very helpful program since I travel a lot. Wow! Super experience today. Had a slow leak and nail/screw visible in rear tire. Called ahead and then stopped in to get in line. They got to me much faster than I expected for mid-day ...less than an hour....unusual. They fixed it for free! Very professional , prompt, and no high-pressure up-sell. They did inform me that I might need new tires later this year based on tread depth, and that my wipers were streaking, but didn't push me in any way to buy anything. Before I left I thanked them and asked for a quote on replacement tires so that when I get ready later this I will certainly give them chance to sell me tires then. 2 stars only because they rotated and balanced my tires which is what I went there for. I also told them to check my tires while at it. I get a message while I'm at work saying one of the tires was bad so they had to put the donut on. We called back to say that yes it had a slow leak but we can't do new tires right now so put the original one back on. He said due to safety reasons they cannot put it back on. So here I am, leaving for vacation Saturday and now I have to spend more time tomorrow to find someone to put my tire back on. Extremely frustrating. I went in for a routine tire rotation and they replaced one of my tires with my spare tire without telling me. As I was walking out to my car to leave I noticed the spare was on my car and went back in to ask if they could put my original tire back on my car. They said that they wouldn't put my original tire back on because the tread was too low. I agreed the tread was low but not to the point of the tire needing to be replaced. And it wasn't any lower than the other tires they had rotated and put back on. They tried to coerce me into buying a new tire from them to replace the spare tire with. I refused and asked if they would kindly put my original tire on and that I would sign whatever they needed me to sign that stated they wouldn't be liable if anything happened. They resisted and told me they were doing nothing wrong by not telling me about the spare install, and they would not put on my original tire, even if I signed something.
