I went in for a flat tire repair, which included removing my spear and replacing the repaired tire. I was told that my tire had an inch to one half inch slit in it, and I needed to just replace it. They never even showed it to me. So I purchased a new tire, but today I noticed that my spare was not placed back in my truck properly, the screw that holds it was missing. Every time I go in for a balance and rotation, something is missing from my tires. I'll find another location, hopefully it'll be better. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Discount Tire at 2201 N. Galloway in Mesquite, TX. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The counter employees are very knowledgeable and their mechanics are great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], I watched them work and on every vehicle they cleaned every wheel stud with a wire brush, cleaned the back of the wheel where it mounts to the hub and after balancing and mounting the tire, they used a torque wrench on every lug nut which your manual recommends but the Toyota dealership doesn't do it. By the way, never take your car/truck to a Toyota dealership, any of them for anything. I bought 5 new tires. When the spare tire was taken down on my truck the service guy was trying to use the wrong tool and was putting all his weight on it and broke something. Then I approached him and told him I had the correct tool in my truck. After leaving with all brand new tires my left back tire was was flat within 20 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I call the store and was offered no help at all, I let them now I was airing the tire up and should be there within 30 minutes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I got back to the store and had it checked, I was told that the TPMS was installed incorrectly. I have been to this location 2 times and each time was an epic fail when it comes to customer service. I they check your air in your tires for free when you drive up. At the location I go to in Dallas, there is always someone there ready to help and with a smile on their face. At this location I was the only one in kine and I had to wait about 7 minutes for someone to help. Several workers saw me there, but none acknowledged me until after about 7 minutes. Finally someone came over and placed air in my tires but didn't affords anything other than 5 words. It me over 3 hours to get a tire replaced. David waited one hour to email photos to the claims department of my warranty. They did not receive the photos for some reason. I had to call back to check on status. They did follow up on the processing of my claim and then acted like my car wasn't going to be a priority over other people who just got to the store in the last hour. I left to wait but it should not take 3 hours for one tire. Worst experience here ever. read more

In a word. Absolutely THE best experience I have ever had at a DT (long time customer Plano Tx store). While traveling along LBJ on the way to take my kiddo back to college (She was ahead of us in her car), we countered some debris in the road. Soon after my tire trouble light came on. We hobbled to this DT and SO glad we did. Upon arrival, I was fortunate to get Noe Espinoza. I explained what had happened and my distress at my kid now traveling ahead of us, unknowing we had a car issue. I asked if he could help expedite me and look at my tire. Noe, did not hesitate (front office staff). He jacked up my BMW and quickly saw that I had a huge issue with both of my back tires (bad alignment) and one of then with the steel belt beginning to unwrap. If we hadn't hit the debris who knows what would have happened. Noe fortunately had 2 of the tires my car required. He did not wait for a technician to install them (despite it being his time to leave for lunch). He jumped into action and installed both tires himself (clearly he was a technician before he was promoted to the front office). We were in and out of there w/in 40 min. Absolutely incredible. Manager, Ben also came out and we shared our story with him and shared he made a good choice with having Noe promoted to the front office. DT marketing or leadership if you are listening or reading this review, Noe is the brand your company wants to have out there - he was just awesome. Truly customer first in so many ways. My husband and I have gone to this Discount Tire for years. All other experiences over 17 years have been great. Today, however, was very disheartening. I went there because I had low tire pressure in one tire - 19 psi. I'd already confirmed this and tried to air it back up myself, however it wouldn't hold air. I went in and explained the problem. The employee told me we needed to go look at it together. He looked at the tire - just looked at at, didn't get down and inspect it- and said it looked fine to him, but if I was really worried "You see this line of cars waiting to get their air checked? That's what you should have done, and we'd see if it's really low." I explained I know how to check tire pressure, and already had. He repeated that it looked fine and they needed to check all 4. I explained that 3 were fine, one was not and it had been this way for 2 days. Fine, he says. Come inside and we'll see what we can do. Nearly 2 hours later, while I watched my car sit in the parking lot while people who came in after me got their car serviced and were done before me, my car finally gets looked at. Turns out there were 2 nails in that tire. Had I taken his initial reaction of "It looks fine to me" as gospel and left, I'd have ended up stranded on a freeway somewhere. So, overall, this visit was a massive fail. read more

To get the 15% rebate by mail on tire, the first page clearly states that all a buyer needs to do is to reserve the tire purchased on July 4, 2019 and because the store are closed, just schedule an appointment to complete the transaction and get the rebate. When I get to the store, I find out that the transaction had to be completed by July 5, 2019 to get the rebate. The first page of the store about the discount reads as follows about the rebate, "Online only: Stores are closed July 4 - if you reserve product online or make an appointment you will be eligible for the rebate" On page 3 of this form is where it states that the sale had to be completed by July 5, 2019. Big question is why not put that line on page 1 of the rebate form. read more

What is discount about charging $67.00 dollars for mounting and balancing two tires that I provided . While the my service advisor was excellent the gouging of price it was anything but a discount . They could not even pull car in properly after I explained them how to drive it . NO DISCOUNT FOUND HERE . New location in mesquite is very nice. I made a 3:30 appointment earlier in the day and much to my surprise, when I arrived at 3:25 the manager greeted me and helped me immediately. They were very informative and even looked for better pricing in the tire I chose. I definitely recommend this location if you want a quick hassle free experience. Only one con- I'm sure that it's a corporate mandate to answer every phone call that comes in, but it's a little unnerving having someone quit speaking with you to answer the phone. I'm definitely not saying that the staff was not attentive. Maybe discount tire should reevaluate their phone policy. Great job! I'll be back. read more

You have Tire guys and then you have Car guys these are Tire guys and they know there trade well. As far as car and light truck tire install they are perfect. Can't handle anything light commercial and up. Good knowledge on tires and Tire tech but a friendly and customer oriented service and front staff is lacking. The guys here don't seem excited to see customers. I came here for a flat repair but they guy seemed to act like i was a inconvenience. I spent $867 on tires here in 2010. The same tires that needed flat repair. For Christ sake at least I didn't come for free tire pressure check... I have been coming to this location sense 2006. The new store is nice but I will take my business to where I'm appreciated. By the way the flat repair took 1 hour, that's a long time for a simple flat repair. However they did not charge me for flat repair and balance. read more

The new store is much nicer than the old store. There is plenty of parking for everyone. But I did make an appointment online the day before for a 2 o'clock and they did not get my vehicle back till and hour later. I had my tires rotated recently at this location and my tire would not hold air after the rotation I only went back up there for them to fix the problem that they messed up the first time and I had to wait an hour and a half to get it done.
