I had four new tires replaced on my daughter's car, and they did not notify me when they were done so I sat around and waited an extra half an hour and actually had to call in my phone from outside to get a response because there wasn't enough help at the front desk. the guy unceremoniously gave me my keys and told me my car was out in the west lot, and I had to walk over to pick up the car. No big deal but they should do better at notifying customers when the job is complete and bringing the car up. No such notification was given and it feels like my time is not valued at discount tire. read more

Well days later I'm finding myself returning to Discount Tire for tire repair, I found a screw in my tire. Met Tyler who examined not only my one tire but all of them & discovered a defect in the tread and because we had their warranty on them, Tyler F suited my truck up with 4 brand new tires. Returning to pick up my truck, Tyler's customer service was top notch, also professional and polite all in one. After returning home, we discovered they had put both of them on the rear wheels. They put the old tires on the front. Even a moron knows one puts the best tires on the front! Service at this location is terrible. I brought a truck in with a flat because it needed a valve stem. I was told it would take one hour. After an hour they had not touched it. After being told someone would work on it right away waited another half hour. Still no service. Multiple customers that came in AFTER me were long gone. They spent tons of time walking g around my vehicle trying to up sale me wiper blades & etc that they should have spent working on my vehicle. Years ago, this place left a bad taste after trying to gouge my girlfriend and I with something we didn't need. Plus several other assorted problems. Today's visit is a 360 turn (or do we say 180 turn?). The workers are actually walking up to customers to greet them with undivided attention. Immediately check their concern physically and walk them back in. I'm seeing this none stop by every employee and with a smile. They even have a screen for you to see what the employee is ordering so there are no surprises. Glad to see this place have a positive turn around. read more

I have bought my tires with Discount Tires for probably 25 years. I went in to this store on Monday to have my tires rotated. I was told that two of my tires needed to be replaced right away and they were not safe to drive on . I was leaving for SoCal on Sunday and told this associate this. He said by the time I got to SoCal the other two would need to be replaced. I bought these 4 tires from them 2 1/2 years ago and they had an 80,000 mile warranty. I had only driven 45,000 miles since I bought them. He blamed it on living in Arizona. And with this great warranty it was going to only cost me $600 to get 4 new tires!!! I said I wanted to do some comparison shopping. He asked me what he needed to do to keep me as a customer. I told him to bring it down under $400. I have a 2016 Honda Civic. Not a fancy car by any means. He brought it down to a little over $500. I said I still wanted to do some comparison shopping. I went to Sam's Club and they said my tires were in great shape and there were no concerns about them. They are about 1/2 worn down. I will never go to discount tires again. They blatantly lied to me. Bad business!!! read more

Over the years the service quality has consistently deteriorated as they try to sell more and more services and can never quite figure out how to honor an appointment made online in a timely manner. The last straw after several bad experiences was not rotating my tires because my vehicle needed new lug nuts...mind you these are lug nuts this location has taken on and off since I've owned the car. I would give 5 stars, they're super nice and helpful, took time to check my tire pressure. I took a star off because one of the guys came out to help me he had the pressures off or something so he rechecked it before I pulled away and someone I'm assuming the manager came out to tell him, in front of me, that they are short staffed and he shouldn't be helping me. I understand that, I work too but I don't think telling him in front of me was very professional. It almost felt embarrassing for the guy that helped. Next time, pull your employee aside to do that. It made me apologize and he told me "it's not you" so don't do this in front of me...? Lol Awkward for me as well. It's not what you said it's where you said it. Discount Tire focuses on tires and wheels and excels at what they do! And they take excellent care of their customers! I have purchase tires from Discount Tire a few times and will continue to do so. Their prices really are the best and their service is simply phenomenal! When I replaced my tires last, I kept one of my "old" tires with decent tread on it... and purchased a new wheel so I could have a spare tire (since Tesla does not provide a spare tire). With my new wheel and old tire, I stopped in on a Saturday morning and dropped them off to have the tire mounted on the wheel. To my surprise, they gave me what I will call the "Discount Tire family discount" and my "spare" was ready to be picked up in a short time! Pretty much always had great experience here however, the last time concerning their mail in rebate it was denied so keep that in mind if you think you're getting a deal on tires with a rebate, it's not a guarantee $! the rebate company which by the way is the credit card offered by Discount Tire said that they can't see that I use their card. It makes no sense. I sent him a copy of my statement from them showing Discount Tire and the receipt shows the numbers and also I got a special price using their card & the claim was still denied! they make you go through so many hoops just to apply for the rebate and then you get denied in the end. This is the best place to get your tires. Discount tires has been my place for all my cars. It's well run. They are clear about prices and what's going on. The employees don't seem miserable. (I literally ask employees on the low; "hey man do you like working here?" And they all say YES it's a good place to work. We came in to get the tires rotated on the truck after making an appointment. The staff was nice and they finished the work when they said they would. The lobby area is really clean and they were really good about the social distancing keeping the chairs spaced 6 feet apart lol. This location is close to shopping and places to eat so you can drop off your vehicle and eat and shop while you wait. So I do recommend this location if you live in the city of Mesa. read more

I just got my vehicle service there for a flat tire and initially it was just a screw. I got the notification to go back to the store saying that it was ready and come to find out when I arrive. They said unfortunately we had to replace tire and we called I did not receive a call. About the tire instead of causing a scene. I just paid the fee, but I am incredibly disappointed that I did not get in contact about my tire. I would've never allowed it. It is completely unacceptable. One of our vehicles had a continuous leak in the left rear tire. We buy all of out tires via Discount Tire, so brought car in to check out the issue. Determined that a plug was needed due to nail in the tread. 2days later, same tire, TPM going off due to low pressure, brough car back in. Found yet another nail on same tire, inner tread. Short story is that in working with Gianmarco, we came to a good resolution without having to buy a full set of tires (as suggested by one of the techs :( due to one tire having problems.
