They got me in without an appointment on a road trip when I had damaged tires at a bad RR track crossing. Ordered two tires from another location and got me back on the road in a few hours. The only problem is they didn't check the tire pressure and let me drive off with under inflated tires. They were very busy and distracted but that can't be an excuse if you are in the safe tire business. read more

Friay mid aftrrnoon i called to Mateson Discpunt Tire to have them put pressure sensor on travel teailer. Was told NO appointmentt required. Just call when on the way. Arrived at 9:30, was texted at 9:46 , tokd i was checked in. At 11:06 received resxt stating would be done close 2:33. Returned at 2:00 ! Assuming 3 1/2 hours to add 4 sensors was enough time. At 3:00, trailer still nit started. They said it would be done before closing. She said since I was a "walk- in" i was at the end of the line. So being told Friday, no appontment required was useless. I called a 2nd Discount tire and was told they coukd get me done that afternoon. I left store in Matteson and set up appointment fir othet store. Had they texted me to cpme back at 6, no issue, but when told it would be done by 2:30 and was nit even strted by 3:00, that is a sign if poor management , they vould have at least sent a 2nd update with later completion. read more

I scheduled a $35 alignment at 3 pm on a Friday was called 15 minutes later to reschedule for 8 AM the following Saturday, this shows me they're pushing numbers opposed to trying to meet customer satisfaction. Upon arrival. There was a technician filling in for a service advisor. He wrote up my car before he pulled it into the shop. He let me know. He doesn't want to touch it because he's looking at the passenger tire and the driver tire being misaligned. After signing my life away. They pull the car look at it for about 20 minutes. where the service riders are joke about how I need and how everything is rusted and it's gonna take more time than it's necessary sitting in the waiting mind thinks I'm going to get not the end of the world to my surprise. He throws his hands up and says I'm done. I don't wanna touch it. It's too rusty. Thank you tammy service writer and dave lead tech 0/10 read more

Good communication, great service, and professional employees. I will definitely be back. Great vibes in the store.

I arrived at Discount Tire in Matteson, IL. at 9:15 am to check my back tire which was low. It was determined I had a nail in the tire and the worker said they would get my car in to repair it. At the time, there was only one car in the stall being repaired, however I was made to wait and wait and wait. The Assistant Manager whose name was Richard was totally uncooperative and had a very bad attitude. By 11 o'clock, I was still waiting and the Asst. Mgr. claimed, with his bad attitude, that the stalls, which were now full, were because of people who had appointments. I asked the manager several times how long it would take as I had several appointments and it was clear that he did not care and by 12:00 pm, I was still waiting. When two of the customers came inside to pay for their repairs, I asked each one whether they had appointments, and both said NO, and however, both were in and out before me. Finally, at 1:05pm, I received my keys and got into my car. But for nearly 4 hours, that Asst. Mgr. (from hell) made me wait to repair one tire. I missed my dentist appointment and a promise to pick up my sister who was being dismissed from the hospital. If this is typical of the treatment of your customers, I will not be returning and going forward, I will patronize Bell Tires. This type of treatment will not be tolerated. One angry customer. read more

We came in with a flat tire. Inner sidewall blowout. The employees were friendly and quick to help. At one point, the Store Manager, Luis Sandoval, came out to help us and he was as wonderful! It's refreshing to see that there are people that still believe in providing GREAT customer service. They noticed our front tires were badly in need of replacing and gave us an excellent price! Great customer service, high quality products at a great value. We will definitely come here again! read more

The attendant Roberto said that he couldn't patch my tire because my tire was a little worn! Pissed me off to the fullest, trying to upsell me on a whole set of tires. Are you kidding me. You think because I'm a woman I don't know that all I needed was a patch. I worked 32 years at Ford! Don't tell me I need a whole new set of tires. Talking about he couldn't put air in it because it's to worn. So I snatched my keys, left and went to go put air in my own damn tire. Do Not go here!!! read more

New tires installed and I suggest scheduling ahead as they are very busy all the time. Tires installation went well!

Maybe it's good luck, maybe its systemic hiring practices within a franchise, I dont know, but I feel like Discount Tire gets it right everytime. I've had a variety of things done here like the obvious new tires or wheels, but also alignments, flats or patches too. Everytime they communicate clearly, offer a fair price, a reasonable time line and the employees always seem to be in a good mood and willing to help. Tires in the time of COVID: I recently was here having winter tires put on my wife's car. I shopped the price for the tires- this place price matched them, ordered them and mounted them without issue. I made an appointment, was told the service would take 1hr, and that was that. 5 stars because other than this $h!t bein' free, I don't really know what else you could want out of a tire store. read more

Absolutely love this place. Had to replace all 4 tires on my previous car. The tires were reasonably priced and I had no issues. Got a nail in one of my tires in my new car, they fix it for free and they have free tire checks. Staff were friendly and the inside was very clean. Highly recommended. read more

Brennan Franklin is their best tech by far..I was able to watch him in action, and this young man works his butt off harder than I've seen anyone work at this store. Very helpful but they lose a star because 1) They were about 1 hour more than the estimated time and 2) didn't have the tires they initially sold me in stock and 3) they need to check their bathrooms and restock TP more frequently! On the positive side / the were able to replace my punctured tire plus the other 3 (because who wants to drive on uneven tires - plus it was time.) read more

I had a great experience at Discount Tires. I've been there a few times before and the workers are always pleasant and friendly. The business gets crowded, even around 8am, so be prepared to sit there for at least an hour. They fixed the nail in my tire for free today and filled my tires up with air. They provide coffee and cold water while you wait. read more

I would not recommend this sore; this store is unprofessional and unwilling to provide good customer service. They looked at my tire, which has a slow leak, and had my profile information. One of the techs put air in my tire, and set me up with an appointment to come back 2 days later. When I returned, the guy told me that my totes are special order and that if they removed the tire and it needed to be replaced they could not put the tire back on my car. He then said if that is the case, I would need to leave my car at the store until the tire arrived! I was shocked as to why the attendant who saw my tire didn't tell me they'd need to order the tire! I spoke to an assistant manager who told me he would take care of this and speak to his staff to make sure they proceed the transaction correctly and communicate correctly to the customer. I was called today that the tire arrived. I went to the store and asked for the manager to let him know I was there to pick up the tire. A different manager from the gentleman to whom I'd previously spoken, he proceeds to tell me that I had experienced no inconvenience! Totally missing the point that his staff had me come back for a visit where I was told they didn't have a tire for me and that I have to leave my car overnight was a COLOSSAL WASTE OF MY TIME. I have been a customer here for years! The store manager is a total disappointment and I will communicate to their corporate offices the same! read more

Had new tires put on and had to come back three times just for them to replace the sensor. The first time was when they broke it putting on the new tires. The second time was because it wasn't reading the pressure in the tire on the back wheel. We were told it would after driving 6,000 miles. It did not. So we took it back up there for a third time because it still was reading the tire pressure. It was at this point I asked for a manager (who was standing right next to the associate) but he did not set in. He continued to let the young man help me--which I felt was quite disrespectful in itself. Needless to say the sensor they put on was "faulty" so he replaced it again. Now it's reading fine. read more

I'm extremely picky about my Jeep Wrangler and have had some pretty bad experiences with shops mishandling my vehicle (two different Firestone locations damaged my wheels ‍). I spoke to Roberto ahead of time about my concerns; he assured me that my new wheels and tires would be handled carefully with no mounting marks/ scratches and they completely surpassed my expectations! There literally wasn't a single blemish after the install. They treated my Jeep like it was theirs and in a world where good customer service is getting harder to come by, I seriously appreciate it. Definitely visit this location for all your wheel/ tire needs! read more

I love this store and the great customer service you receive I have had nails in my tires on 3 different occasions and they always get me in and back on the road ASAP. This weekend it was time for new tires so they were top on my list for a place to go for this. I know this sounds small but I like when you see a person working in customer service and you can tell that they take pride in their attire as I believe his name is Robert does. There is something about that that gives me a comfortable feeling like they care. I bought my existing tires from the Discount Tires in Oak Forest in 2012. I don't drive as much as the average person because I take the train to work daily. Thus the reason I had my old tires for so many years. After the last cold snap I started to have issues with my tires. I was having to constantly inflate them especially the drivers side front tire. The location in Oak Forest is now closed so I made an appointment at the Matteson location. My appointment was for 11am I believe and I arrived early. I was told that I would be in and out within an hour since I had made an appointment. I don't recall the name of the gentleman who initially greeted me but I believe he was possibly Eastern European. I explained my issue and we went out to take a look at my car. He said I would need new tires for sure as my tires were really old and something was up with the sidewall of the tires. I can't recall the proper terminology he used but he said if I didn't get new tires I could possibly be risking a blowout. He said the tire treads looked good though and joked that I should drive more. I had planned to get new tires or pretty much anticipated that I would need them so that wasn't a shock. The thing I didn't count on was being told that my rims were corroded. The gentleman told me they were corroded without taking off the rims to inspect it. I tried reaching a guy friend of mine to get his opinion but he wasn't available. The DT employee insisted that if I didn't replace the rims I could be risking leaking air from the tires. I was skeptical and concerned about being taken advantage of but I went ahead and agreed to replace the rims. I regret now not waiting and getting a second opinion. I talked to my friend later (2 actually) and it could have been oxidation. That you couldn't necessarily determine the structural integrity of the rim without removing the tire and inspecting it. This wasn't done prior to my being told that I needed knew rims. My car wasn't pulled in to be served until 15 minutes after I arrived but they did have me out within the allotted time frame as promised. BUT they didn't do the job correctly. They put the old rims on the car. The error wasn't discovered until I went to leave. So they had to pull the car back in and put on the new rims. It only took another 10-15 minutes but still that was an extremely careless error. It makes one wonder what kind of other mistakes are being made. I should have just kept the old rims at that point and gotten a refund on the new rims. The rims and tires cost $935. I went with the economical choices since I don't drive as much as most people. I also plan on getting a new car in next couple of years. Historically, I've been happy with the service DT has provided but I can't shake the feeling that something wasn't on the up and up with this visit. I just don't think I needed the rims and the thought of the sales rep possibly taking advantage of me irks me. But it's done now. The rims look good and the tires are fine. I drove them over a hundred miles just the other day. My advice would be to take your time, do your own research and talk to friends and/or mechanics you trust before making a move. I'll still be a loyal DT customer going forward. I'll just let things simmer before taking the plunge going forward. read more
