I recently experienced my first flat tire situation and rushed my car to Discount Tire. I was helped quickly and even though the first initial tire was not exactly what I was needing, the issue was quickly resolved and I didn't have to pay anything additional for the small hiccup. There was another hiccup where someone at Discount Tire lost my wheel lock key while the crew was switching my tires out, but HUGE shout out to Christian for going the extra mile and helping me every step of the way. I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg and the tire was great. I tested a theory out today. The last three times that I've gone to this specific discount tire. They have said that I needed four new tires. And if they pull my tire off to fix a flat. They can't put it back on. This discount tire is poorly managed. They instructed their sales people to lie. I made an appointment yesterday for 1:15 today for my tire balance and rotation and air pressure adjustment I waited while other people got serviced but that's not what upset me , I've never ever had a complaint on this store but like I said I waited then they finally pulled my SUV in then bay lifted it about a foot then just waited I was outside watching they never serviced the vehicle then 7 to 10 minutes later pulls it out and says its ready no paperwork at all I tell the tech i didn't see you service it he said they were just fast. Upon speaking to Jackson, he was able to have them delivered there within a few hours. My tires were just barely in the zone that they needed to "possibly" be replaced. I told them I would look at getting new tires later just needed the leak fixed. Super quick service, friendly staff, provide good warranty and convenient online features, I wouldn't get new tires anywhere but Discount Tire, and it's been years! I got a busted tire the day before, and knew it was time to replace the other 3 tires anyway, so I went on their website, made my selection and placed the order to get 4 new tires the very next day. All their appointments were already booked that day, but I'm glad that their website does tell you which time of day (by the hour) would be the slowest, for those who do walk-in like I did and don't want to wait too long. I was a little dreaded when we showed up and saw almost a full parking lot. To my surprise, I was told the car should be done in 45mins or less. To add some icing on the cake, I'm glad I didn't pay online already, cuz they actually offer military discount in store. You just have to ask. This will minimize them from trying to upsell you at the counter but they will still try a little. It's easy to be guilted into buying more tires or a more expensive one here. I booked an appointment and they were pretty much on time. They said it would take up to an hour and they were done in less than 30 minutes. I have had my tires balanced twice in the last week and they can't seem to get it right. I was traveling and really needed this to get done correctly to feel safe on the road. I went to the store on 20 in Grand Prairie on 8-11-2023 and again on Houston Highway in Victoria, Texas. Each store says that the balance was a little off and I am still experiencing shaking. CRAZY BEWARE !! Took my car in for 4 new tires picked it up same day and quickly Found out my front side passenger tire had a bent stud with no lug nut called them for information and they said they are not mechanics they cannot fix it . The stud fell out while I was driving !! other half of broken stud was still inside tire and got stuck between the rotor and car jerked and started screaching and could no longer operate . no regard for my situation after spending over 600$ for a bad service . I don't typically review businesses outside of restaurants, but I had a great experience today. I went in for a tire with a nail in it and to maybe replace my front tires. Got all set up for service and was told that it would take about an hour. About 45 minutes later, a nice young man (Nick is his name) found me in the waiting area to tell me that they'd found a nail in my tire and that they'd take care of it. I was a little confused because that was the primary reason that I was there. But when I looked at my sales slip, all that was listed was the new tires. So when Nick approached me, he was coming to me as a top-rate rep for his business to let me know that they'd found and issue and were going to fix it for nothing. And that it would only be about 10 more minutes. Kimseun was a great service writer, but Nick really put it over the top for me. Discount Tire has been my home for tires for the last few years and this just illustrates why. read more

I setup a tire order for my daughter who was not able to drive at this time for her car.Since I was in town I offered to bring it in for this service. I arrived for my appointment and they tried to up sell me on useless things that I did not need and I refused those services such as: TPMS rebuild? why is that needed if they are already working? Road hazard: this was a good up sell but my daughter didn't want to pay extra and since she was paying I had to go along but for $30 a tire you would get free replacement or repairs if you have a blowout or flt. I have to admit blow outs are rare on this types of tires(run flats) but they do get punctures fir time time but I digress a little. The problem that we had was they couldn't find the tire lock? She drives a late model BMW so I assume thy had worked on a few but they looked everywhere but they could find it. I ended up leaving and called to find out who serviced the car last and it was BMW and they told us where to find the key. It is kept in a standard place in a compartment that we all over looked in the trunk. After stopping the car and looking there lo and behold the tire key was there! Maybe they haven't worked on these types of cars there but never the less this inconvenience caused me to have to make another trip back to their location. This time all went well and the service was completed in a fast manner. I pulled one of the service guys aside and informed him for future reference that he should let the other guys there know of this location to save someone else the trouble that I went through. The up selling and lost time for not finding the lock caused them to have at least one star removed.I have used other locations before but the service and time waiting were excellent here. read more

My most recent visit to the Mansfield Discount Tire was very disappointing. I used their web site to select the tires I wanted for my truck that showed were in stock, selected an appointment time, then paid for everything. I arrived fifteen minutes early and the sales associate called up my on-line order and took my keys. About ten minutes later he came to me to tell me they only had two of my tires in stock. He offered to sell me something they had in stock, which I declined. He then said they could mount the two tires they had and order two more which should be in by that afternoon (Monday). He said he would call me when they got in. They put on the two tires they had in a timely manner and I left, expecting to returned later in the day for the other two tires. I waited the rest of Monday for a call that never came. Nor did it come Tuesday. Late Tuesday I was going through my email and found an email from Discount Tire time stamped 12:17 PM, stating my additional two tires were in. No phone call, just an email. Wednesday morning I took my truck back in for its remaining two tires, arriving at 0945. I took a seat and read my book. When I finished my book I checked the time and saw it was 1215. I decided to check the status of my truck: it was not in a bay getting worked on, nor was it in the parking spot where I left it. I asked a sales associate where my truck was and he went outside to look for it. He pointed to a spot in front of the next business over. When I asked why it was there he went it the service bays and checked the work order pouches. My work order pouch was there and it was time stamped that the service was completed at 10:15. None of the sales associates could explain why they didn't call me when my truck was ready like the other thirty customers while I was there. The on line inventory was incorrect. They promised to call me when the two additional tires came in. They didn't. They didn't notify me when my truck was ready on the second trip. Lots on incompetence on show there this week. After having nails in 3 tires in the last year, I do not take chances so I brought the car in. Our vehicle had a bad tired and discount couldn't find a tire anywhere in the area. We are from Houston visiting friends and we could find the tire there, but the store claimed they could only get one from a different state. They were unwilling to rotate the bad tire to the back of the vehicle and left us in quite the predicament to make it home. Many years ago when we lived in Mansfield, I bought four tires for my SUV and they scratched two rims so I don't know why I'm surprised today. Long lines even before the store opens. Came for a nail in my tire. I was told there was 1 hr 15 min wait. During that time I was sold on wheel rims and tires. Still told the wait was the same....3 1/2 hours later I am finally leaving. But.. because they did not have the proper lug nuts I was told they would call me the next day so I could come in and put the right ones on. (This was supposed to take 10min) They never called. I had to call on Monday and was on hold for 10+ minutes with no help. I drive up to the store and was told they have the nuts...55 minutes of waiting I am told they don't have the nuts and are going to make it work with different nuts again and I have to come back in... what a waste...I regret my purchase and will never use Discount Tire again. read more
