I will never go anywhere else for car repairs again if I can help it. I have had several repairs…read moredone here and have always been impressed with the customer service, the pricing, the INTEGRITY, and the quality of work. A couple of months ago, the belts on my car began squealing a little when I started it up. At that time, Meineke quoted me just under $600 to replace them saying that I would also need a new water pump. That was a little much for me so I put off the repair. It got worse and worse over the next two months, and I finally quit procrastinating and decided to get it fixed. I called up a smaller repair shop (also in Mansfield), and they also quoted me around $600 for the job without looking at the car. Then, I went to Car Care Center, since it's near where I work, and got them to quote me. $450 was the initial estimate over the phone. Then the mechanic took a look and told me that the water pump did not need to be replaced at all. New total: $140!!! That's the most basic way I know to judge an honest mechanic. He tells you what you DON'T need to fix even though he could easily make money off you. Also, I asked him to check on my windshield wiper because it had stopped working. He looked at it, saw that the arm had just come loose and fixed it at no charge. I am not particularly savvy when it comes to car repairs. He could have charged me 25 bucks to fix that wiper and I would have gladly paid, not knowing that it was just a quick fix. Take your business here. They deserve it, and you will not be disappointed.
