I've been a fan of Discount Tire/America's Tire since the mid 80's, when I got my 1st car. I've always chosen them above all others when it came to buying Tires, & having them installed and balanced. I'm also a huge fan of their Tire Certificate program & have tapped into those benefits many, many times over the years. I've never felt dismissed or pressured by anyone in their shop regarding my purchases, or desire not to purchase something. My latest visit (7/13/26) was for a Tire Inspection, Wiper Blade purchase/installation, & a 4 Wheel Alignment after I'd had a mobile mechanic do some Suspension & Brake work for me. On the phone Carlos gave me a general estimate of up to 90 minutes to complete the Alignment. When I arrived Monday morning, I opted to shop in the Manor Crossing shopping center while the shop worked on my car. I'd barely begun window shopping when they notified me they had completed the work! The car was done, & I was on my way in less than an hour. As always, Discount Tire came through. The price was EXACTLY what I'd been quoted, & the Alignment print out was provided without me having to ask for it. I am beyond thrilled to have Discount Tire with 10 minutes of home, and within a shopping center that provides plenty of distraction while waiting on them to complete the requested repairs to my Car. My tires get finicky when the weather pressure abruptly changes. I have an air compressor but unfortunately it only charges via vehicle cigarette lighter and with gas prices these days that's a pricey solution. I think I've been to every Discount Tire in Austin and was thrilled that there was one close-ish to me. It looks very new and has a dedicated lane for tire pressure. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and courteous even though he had a line of cars. (They won't tell you but I'd recommend tipping them a few dollars for their service). I'm not looking forward to my future tire pressure light inevitably turning on. But I know where to go to get it fixed! read more

I've been using discount tire and their other locations around town for years. This is their newest location in Manor. Before I ever set foot through the door, I shopped for tires on their online website and made my choice based on the ratings and manufacturer. You can call and they will give you some recommendations for your car, but it's best to go online first to see firsthand what you'll be getting. Some brands and sizes may need to be special ordered before you arrive. If you've bought tires in the last year or so, you know how expensive they are getting which is why being a proactive tire shopper is important. I actually arrived half an hour early and my special order tires were waiting for me. They got me in right away and even offered to give me a front end alignment scan for free to see if any adjustment was needed. One thing I recommend is that you ask to see the date stamp on the tire to make sure you're getting the most recently manufactured tire. The newer, the better. One big advantage of this location is that there are several restaurants and many retailers in the immediate walking area to spend your time at. If you wanna wait inside, they do have free water, but no coffee or TV. Since I paid online, I was handed the keys and on my way. I made an appointment for noon, but got here 20 minutes early! They saw me as soon as an associate was available, which was under 5 minutes. I came in for a tire rotation and balance, and realized I didn't align my tires when I bought them so I did add that service. Since I bought my tires from discount, the rotation was free! Rey, an advisor with a dope fresh cut assisted me and gave me information on the tire repair, etc. I came back to get the repair done the same day and Cam, a tech that was assisting Charlie the Challenger was very kind and personable. The wait took a while because when they get busy, they get BUSY. But while waiting in the waiting room, I did observe that the entire staff from the advisors from the front to the techs in production, they all work together as a team. Anytime cold weather comes to Texas my tires start acting funny. But discount tire always comes to the rescue with their complimentary air check and tire pressure reset. Complimentary is free and you cannot beat that price! Today I braved the roads after de-icing my car and was immediately notified that my tires needed air so I went directly to the discount tire in Manor. When I pulled up I noticed that this new location had a really cool covered area dedicated to service check in on one side and air check on the other side! Love this new concept! When I pulled up there was no one waiting so I was helped immediately. The airtech was super friendly and I even asked him if he was okay, if he needed gloves or anything and he said, "no it's not that bad out here." Meanwhile it's barely 30° And I was freezing inside my car with the heat on. He definitely was going above and beyond for customers today so I'm sure he does it on the regular. i needed 4 new tires and one new wheel for my car. since getting the tires put on my car one has gone flat per day, for 2 days. Also, a 3rd one has started leaking air out of the valve stem. The one that hasn't shown any issues yet has a completely different valve stem from the other 3. im 90% sure I just unknowingly got sold tires with 3 bum valve stems, and who knows when the 4th one is going to give out as well. When I went in and talked to them about it the first time, somehow nobody could find any issues so they said "we just threw that one away and put a new one on for you." Then when I went in the second time, he said the issue was a corroded valve stem. They happily replaced it for free. Ok, great, I've finally gotten to the bottom of this right? I asked can you please just triple check the other two tires to make SURE that this doesn't happen again? "yes of course no problem." he said he didn't see anything wrong with the other ones and the chances of this happening a third time are "one in a million." That's when I get home to find AIR LEAKING OUT OF THE THIRD TIRES VALVE STEM???? Yeah one in a million my ass. today I'm going in to demand the other 2 replaced even if you don't see anything wrong with them, and a refund so I can take my business elsewhere. I spent my entire 2 days off from work with plans to hang out with my girlfriend and get my license to serve alcohol back because it expired, and all I had time to do was pull my hair out over these goddamn tires because any attempt to drive anywhere would lead to another flat tire. So now I'm 700 dollars poorer than I was a few days ago with new tires that are causing me 1000x more headache than my 14 year old BALDIES were causing me a week ago. Thanks for absolutely nothing discount tire. I was going to put 2 stars because at least they were happy and willing to change the tires for free, but the fact that they didn't find anything wrong with the tires not once not twice but 3 times!? within 72 hours!? completely negates any second star that I could try and squeeze out. UPDATE: they admitted fault, put new valves in all of the tires even the one that looked ok from the outside, and gave me a full refund. granted, while plenty of mistakes were made that led me to this point, the staff remained customer friendly and willing to help me out personally throughout the whole process. I think the issue here is that this mentality to satisfy everybody leads to half assed jobs. this isn't their fault I'm sure but more how they are trained to work. get jobs done as fast as possible and move on to the next customer. this , I'm assuming, is what led to faulty tires being put on my car, and then multiple employees not seeing the corroded valves on my tires. I will say if you have a relatively easy job that you need done fast, this place is probably perfect for that. I personally will probably not be returning. read more

Customer service is awesome and they do a great job taking care of the customer. I had new tires and an alignment done. I was there a little longer due to my alignment being a pain but everyone working there stopped to make sure I was taken care of. For a new location they run like well oiled machine. Management all the to techs do a great job. The new set up was also great and helped stuff run smoother. read more
