Love that they have a drive through tire check. I had low pressure and was worried about a possible flat. It was very convenient to just drive around the back and there's someone who checks your tire pressure and will also fill it up. read more

I realized one of my tires was worn down so badly the wires inside it were visible, but I hadn't made an appointment. I figured I'd show up before they opened, and see if they could get both my rear tires replaced within a few hours. They opened at 8:00. Bryce checked me in, and offered a good deal on replacing my wiper blades, which I approved. They were done with my tire and wiper replacement by 8:15. No exaggeration. I didn't even have a chance to crack open the book I had brought to pass the time! This team operates with astounding efficiency - I'm very impressed! read more

Great customer service, manager reached out after I had expressed concerns and made things right. He helped calm my nerves and ensured our safety was his priority. read more

10/10 service! I stopped to get some air in my tires and the process was super fast. Ethan was plenty of help and provided excellent customer service! I appreciated our interaction and I will definitely start coming more often! read more

Incapable and dishonest! I asked for a road force balance and they didn't do it. Damaged the wheels to my truck, broke a center cap and still couldn't balance my tires after two or three trips back! I have been a discount tire customer for almost 15 years and I am done with them after this. I shouldn't have to go to another shop and pay them to do what discount was paid to do in the first place! I would give zero stars if I could This store suffers from a culture issue that I believe starts with the manager Justin. He makes excuses, and withholds information when damage has been done to vehicles. Nothing but continued dishonesty and it's shows throughout most people at this store. Avoid this location and do your favor and take your car up 35 a bit to the store on Nelms. read more

Standing at your service desk when your service writer could have made an appointment for me but pushed me off to your website which wants everything but a semen sample. I have recently bought two sets of tires from this location. There will not be a third. Your customer service is abysmal. All I wanted was a tire rotation. That apparently was too much trouble. read more

Ed was so helpful!!! I'm used to getting horrible customer service because i'm a younger girl who doesn't know much but the employees were so helpful and took care of everything I needed very quickly! Definitely a good discount tire to go to when you need fast/good customer service :) read more

Always honest & attentive. Competitive pricing. I have personally been buying my tires from Discount Tire since 1990. Consistently good service across multiple stores. I personally love the free tire pressure checks & air. One of the biggest perks is the free flat repair if the repair can be done on a safe place on your tire. read more

Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Kyle, Texas

I wanted to share a recent experience I had at Discount Tire here in Kyle that raised some serious concerns. I went in today to get a tire patched due to a screw in my tire. The staff there informed me that there was sidewall damage (in a spot completely away from where the screw was) and refused to patch it, citing safety hazards. They insisted I needed to buy a new tire. When I asked them to speak to my husband on the phone, they refused. They then told me I had to either drive on my spare donut tire or purchase a new tire from them. I felt like they were treating me as just another woman they could scam into buying a new tire. Following my husband's advice, I took the tire and left, heading straight to Costco. At Costco an amazing tire specialist, Jonathan, took a look at my tire and let me know that the screw hadn't punctured my tire at all, and there was no sidewall or any other damage. And there was absolutely no need to purchase a new tire! $300 saved! Please be cautious if you need tire repairs and consider seeking a second opinion or avoid this place to avoid unnecessary expenses. read more

Shoutout to Zachary for going the extra mile (pun intended), he helped me get the best tires for the absolute best price and provided overall exemplary service. Definitely exceeded expectations. Also, they've got some pretty fast mechanics, they had a full garage of cars being worked on when I got there and they were able to change out my tires in less than an hour. Y'all rock. read more

Just wanted to take a minute to give a shoutout to Jason and Discount Tire for a phenomenal experience on Monday. Showed up for my reserved time slot, walked in and was greeted by Jason within seconds. Minutes later we're out at my truck with 4new tires I got off TireRack.com and 4(TPS) sensors i needed installed. He informed me TRack was part of their company now and sold me on the lifetime replacement insurance and a killer mount/balance deal, with disposal of my worn out tires he checked and verified were bad/needing replacement. Dude talks and moves fast which i love. Reason is because he's so knowledgeable about all there products and knows you got somewhere to be. Seconds later we're at a POS , checked my sensors and said this will be done in an hour. He lied because it wasn't even 40minutes later and there texting me "trucks ready for pickup"...Boom Shackalacka, done son. Truck drives like a dream now , so smooth. Tire pressure alert is off my dash and I'm as happy as can be.. You might just have made a lifetime Discount tire member outta me man. read more

Sold me lugnuts, then told we don't have them in stock, come back next week to get them installed. We will get you right in at the front of the line, even got a phone call confirming they were in stock Friday and to come in Monday we will get you in and out, show up Monday told it will be a 2-3 hour wait for them to get to it, dealt with Logan and Justin. Poor customer service and planning on their part. Spent close to 3k on tires and get a run around on lugnuts. read more

The gentlemen running this location in Kyle, Tx we're on the ball today! They got me in and out in one hour. It reminded me of the service "pre-covid" where they met me at my car, kept me informed as to how it was progressing and had my car waiting for me at the front door. Very polite and helpful crew! read more

Today made me want to write a review. I apparently ran over a bunch of nails and ended up with nails in three tires, and one of the tires had two nails in it! This could have been very costly. But they were able to repair the tires--at no cost! They were quick and friendly. I have also had to purchase tires in the past, and they have always seemed honest and fair. A great culture and a great group of people! read more

I have purchased many sets of tires from Discount Tire and I feel that the service here is getting worse and worse every time I come. I had a low tire on my car today and the young man took me to a register to get my information, and his name was Seth L. Before he could do anything with me, he answered the phone and started a conversation with another customer, and completely ignored me. I stood in front of him for nearly 15 minutes while he was talking on the phone to someone else. I went and sat down and waited for my car tire to be repaired . After about an hour and a half I went to the register to find out what the problem was. One of the associates told me that the the tire had been repaired and it was ready 30 minutes ago, but no one called me to let me know. I asked for the manager and was told he was in a meeting and I could speak to Bryce his assistant manager. Bryce apologized for the inconvenience and said that it is very difficult when you have a lot of customers to take care of all at once and that I was sort of lost in the shuffle. Customer Service is very important to me and I thought it was very important to Discount Tire. I arrived early and saw where they had a meeting for 30 minutes with all the associates prior to opening. I would suggest that at the next meeting they concentrate on customer service and people like myself that spend hundreds of dollars for tires from them. I rarely get this upset, but I feel Discount Tire would want to know what's going on at this location. Thank you for letting me have this forum to express my feelings. Vic Garcia read more

Had two single tires I bought for my trailer. They happened to have in stock. Had the first one with me. They charged for two of them and because the tire was old they had to be replaced by their recommendation. I paid and they fixed the first one no problem. I went back to my trailer and I removed it and brought it back into shop. Now EJ the "Asst manager" tells me it will be an hour and a half to change the tire on the rim even though I removed it and brought it in! Did not have to be balanced, was not on a vehicle literally a 5min max job! No you have to wait 1 1/2 hours to replace your paid tire from the wait this morning I already waited? That's crappy customer service. Raised one star for senior managers within the store and corporates ability to make a really bad experience at least feel better! read more

If i could leave a zero that's what it would be. Went today to get 2 new tires on the front and was basically told that I had to buy 4 are they couldn't do it. So spoked the manager and he agreed to let me go ahead and buy 2 but said that my back ones needed to be replaced soon as if I didn't know that. But right now money is tight and I could only afford to buy 2.. but after all that I said the hell with them I will go buy my tires somewhere else. Will never again go to Discount tire. The tires that are on there I purchased them from discount tires this location even. Have always bought my tires and my family tires with them but today I was being pressured to buy 4. Went in for a tire repair. Did not have a lug lock, so had to go buy one. Returned to be told they could not repaid due to old tire. I said let's replace it. they did not have it in stock and I had to return cause I'm going out of town and still could not help me with the repair for the meantime. Went back twice and a total waste of a day. If the rep would've told me the first time I would've went elsewhere. Had me come back twice only to not help me at all. read more

I had some issues with my old tires, ended up needing all 4 replaced. I had my Tesla towed to them, they were very responsive on letting me know when they received my car. I came in and met with Bryce face to face to discuss options. Bryce was extremely helpful in helping me decide on which tire and wheel to select. They took maybe 2 hours with no appointment to get everything finished and I didn't expect them to be that quick. I am blown away with how awesome their customer service was today. I showed up to pick up my car and it's like I had a brand new car again with shinny shoes on. These guys are great, friendly, and most of all knowledgeable about what they're doing. I can't recommend people enough to come here for your tire/wheel needs. Cheers! read more

Excellent service! I came in needing to replace my rear tires. The gentleman gave me a great quote, better than the other places in town who quoted me twice as much! (Btw Christmas is in 3 days, so getting a great deal was important!) I checked in, waited inside my car to avoid gathering in the lobby due to covid, and waited probably 15 min max when they called me back inside to get me set up. There were 16 other cars in front of me and the wait time was going to be 2.5 hrs. They finished in 1 hr! Thanks so much Discount Tire!! read more

I have asked several times over the past 40 years of buying their products to not overtighten lug nuts. They don't listen. First they use an air-torque wrench that "pops" 3 to 6 times then "check" with a hand ratchet type torque wrench. Any fool knows by then you've over torqued the nut. As I sit here on the side of the road waiting for AAA to send a truck (with compressor) to loosen lug nuts I just thought I'd let y'all know. Btw I'm 6'3"" and 245lb. Loud joking and horseplay in the garage vs. polite and professional in the lobby. DRASTIC DIFFERENCE. I'm sitting in the waiting area and debating whether to continue with the tires, double-check the accuracy of the tires installed, and make sure the lug nuts are tightened, OR ask for a refund and drive to another company. They don't try to hide any of it either. There is a glass window between the lobby and the garage, and all shenanigans are displayed. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. read more

No matter how often I go to Discount Tire, they are kind and courteous. Even if I don't need new tires, they make excellent suggestions and I never like I'm being talked down to or coerced into buying tires. This last time I had three almost new tires and one that was about to get into the danger zone. The advisor suggested replacing the one so all tires would be the same. Then move my one to my full size spare. It made perfect sense. Always polite and always ahead of schedule! read more

Ridiculous and unkind, are understatements to the experience that we've had at this Discount Tire. To keep it brief they: lied, STOLE, and cheated my elderly mother out a very expensive car part, $750 to be exact. She had gone in to replace a tire that had burst on IH 35 and was helped by the staff. For some reason her 2023 rim was not put back as it should of been and when we returned the very next day to inquire about it, we were given the runaround. We were actually given the runaround for 2 WEEKS until the "manager" told us that it had already been "destroyed" and that that probably had happened 2 weeks prior, they had just failed to let us know. I am assuming they saw my mothers senior age and the fact that she is a female to prey on her. We took her car here to get help from "certified staff" and this was the result in trusting that idea and this place. Discount Tire is a huge corporation, so to first steal and then lie, about their mistake, is not only unprofessional but also a bad investment for any future business. Please DO NOT TRUST this place as now we must find funds to replace a costly part that could of been avoided had they done their job honestly in the first place. ** Will be posted elsewhere as well. read more

I've been a faithful customer of Discount Tires for many years in both CA and TX and they have always served me well and competently. Last week my tire pressure light went on in my car and I went and got my tires pumped up and checked at my local Discount Tire in Kyle, TX. The young man who did the check suggested that I keep an eye on one tire in particular since it was a bit lower than the rest. This week, my low pressure light came on again and I took my car in for another check and pump up. All tires were OK except the one in question from last week. The young man assisting me asked if I could check in so they could look more closely at the tire and see if there was a nail in it causing the slow leak. It was a busy day for them, but they got me in within an hour, and a young woman in the shop took care of a nail in my tire that could be repaired. I was back on the road again! I love the quality of products, service and the super nice people who work at Discount Tire in Kyle. Thank you so much for helping me out yesterday! read more

Finding a screw in my new tires made my heart drop! That's the last thing we want to see when we get off of work. With that being said, the first thing that cake go mind was, call the dealership. After getting of the phone with them, just to hear all the things I didn't want to hear. I called discount. Spoke to Ramon, told him I had a screw and nitro filled tires. He gave me all the information I need on what needed to be done and a rough estimate on the wait in store. Once I arrived and waiting for just a few moments he got me taken care of, with a smile on his face. That's one thing the customer service field is lacking these days. The guys in store were over the top with their customer service skills, explained step by step on what needed to be done, and apologetic about the wait. I recommend coming to discount tire all the time. read more

Super helpful and fast. The only reason I am giving a 4/5 is because I called to set an appointment. I was sick but needed to get tires before a road trip. I was not at all down to sit and wait. So the guy says... "oh no need to set an appointment. Just come in we are slow" When I arrived I waited in line for like 25mins coughing and sneezing all over everyone in line while others who had set an appointment passed me. Kinda an avoidable issue. But other than that small hang up, good visit. They were fast and friendly once I got through the line and were professional. read more

I dropped in after work one day last week due to low tire pressure. Well, actually, based on the time it took, it was more like a drive-by. This smaller Discount location has fewer bays than the one in San Marcos that I usually visit, but it's got the distinct advantage of being on the flight path with no wasted mileage in the wrong direction. As a consequence of their reduced footprint, unlike their corporate twin to the south, they don't have a bay you can pull in to, that's dedicated to tire pressure checks. Nevertheless, they offer the service for the asking. Their speedy work had me back on the road in under 5 minutes with the issue resolved and without even having to leave my vehicle. That's awesome in my book! read more

Avoid this location if at all possible. No accountability. It took 6 trips to correctly install 4 tires & each visit took 45 min to an hour despite every visit (but the first) being THEIR error. Personally my family will be moving all 5 cars completely away from Discount Tire. Good luck. read more

I've come here twice and both times I received excellent service! The first time I had a bolt lodged in the driverside tire of a new car. I took it in expecting to have to replace the tire entirely, but to my surprise they plugged it for free. They were also very friendly and personable as I waited no time at all for the service despite it being a rather busy afternoon.
