I came to this location of Discount Tire at the urging of a friend, after having a negative experience at another local Discount Tire outside of Austin. It was a night and day difference coming to the Kyle location. Justin, the manager, was phenomenal to work with. They are very prompt in their services (unlike at other locations, where making a "reservation" still comes with a 90+ minute wait) and were not pushy at all. They were very helpful in generous in helping me to best be able to take advantage of the current offers and rebates and I was thoroughly impressed with the price (which was far lower than Costco, where I had also gotten a quote). We will definitely make the drive to this location of Discount Tire for our future needs! read more

I have to say I was a extremely frustrated when my tire blew out on my car. It was after a long day at work driving in 35 traffic from South Austin to Kyle and one exit away from my house. It took AAA over an hour and 30 minutes to get there. I have run flats on my car so it comes with no spare and the tow driver was an ass!! My husband and I called discount tire in Kyle and spoke to Roland. He was honest and polite on the phone. We knew the store would be closing soon and we wanted to let someone know I would be dropping off my car. When me and the tow driver go to discount to my surprise they were very busy trying to complete the day. I'm went in to the work bay and spoke to Justin also very friendly and he too made me feel welcomed. Thank Justin. I told Justin my issue which of course he could see and instead of say we are closed he said just have the driver drop your car and I'll let the guys inside know you need to drop off your keys. Well fast forward. To my surprise Roland called me by name remember my phone call took my keys and assessed my problem and sent me on my way. My husband is in the military and paid for my tire at another discount. Went to pick up my car and I was asked by a tech if I need help he too was friendly!!! However Andrew came to check me out with a friendly smile as he was looking up my account here comes Roland. He said oh she's good just hand her the keys. That made me feel like a VIP!! Came here this afternoon for them to check my tires. Did you know the free air check takes less than 5 minutes? They have a dedicated bay in their shop for it, and you can simply drive in without an appointment. They don't even try to sell you anything, and they're friendly if you have questions too. read more

If I could give it 6 stars I would. First of all call just in case their busy. Second when you go to this location see and speak to Noe. He not only is very professional he is also willing to go the extra mile. Had two tires which had begun to separate. He realized they could be returned to the manufacturer and was able to save me $50 off the install. No other location has ever done that for me. I brought in a two wheel hand truck for moving items around the home. The tire was flat and needed a tube replacement. I spoke to a man named Tom and he told me that the axle had a keeper washer that pressed on to hold the wheel on and if he pried it off it most likely would break. Tom suggested I get a hard tire that didn't need air. I took back the tube I purchased and brought back a solid tire 4.10/3.50/4"" for replacing. When I got back Tom had left for the day and I got another employee from inside the main store and his reply was, " I can't take the old wheel off because I may break the axle hitting it with a hammer"! I told him, " never hit the area with a hammer and chisel as you are suggesting, pry it off with a flat blade screwdriver"! The man then told me "this is not what we do"! My reply was, " I thought you do repair tires, is a two wheel hand truck too hard for you?!! I also expressed my concern about his attitude and will report him and this store with Corporate Headquarters. All in all, Discount Tite has lost me as a long time customer!! read more

When I purchased a spare tire at this place, I received phenomenal customer service.. Upon my return for a slow leak, the service again was beyond my expectations and received it at no charge (a rarity nowadays). After wearing out all four of my tires, I purchased all of them here. Our truck has sensors to alert us when the tire pressure is not optimal or when it needs repaired or replaced. We had just had the tires rotated so the technician at our dealership insisted that our tire must have a leak in it or something. We were not buying that answer so we took our truck to Discount Tire where we bought the tires last Nov. My husband was greeted as soon as he entered the lobby, which was packed, but the employees still took the time to greet each customer as if they were the only ones in the lobby. They had the truck tire sensors reset and hubby was out the door in less than 10 minutes. Kudos to Mike who took care of resetting the sensors, all the employees who are very personable and friendly. The lobby although busy, was clean and tidy. This is not the first time we have been to Discount Tire, and we are always extremely satisfied with their service. They do not disappoint! read more

Well I hate to even do this but I am not ok with people trying to take advantage of others. I have been a loyal discount tire customer for many years, over 10 years actually. I own a shop, I send all my customers to discount tire, (I used to anyway) but after today I am going to rethink that. I tried to go here just to get a simple tire balance and basically my front tires that are at about 75% tread and fine and rear tires are getting worn but still are well within usable specs and pass inspection fine. Just wanted a balance, well the sales person was trying so hard to bully me into a new set of tires I finally had to walk out. Tires that are less then a year old he is trying to replace? Really? I hope it is just this location because the customer service at discount is usually wonderful. It is a shame when a business losses site of what is important taking care of the customer. If I had not known better and been in the automotive business over 20 years I am sure he would have convinced me to spend over $1200 on a new set of tires. Went in for a scheduled appointment and spoke to Marcus about replacing all four tires on our SUV. We had an idea of what kind we wanted, and he helped us look over specs and reviews, taking the time to answer all of our questions until we were satisfied. This time I also ended up purchasing new wheels thanks to a promotion that Dustin mentioned to me. Great service all around, specifically from Dustin, and when I brought my truck in the next day to have the new lug nuts put on that were ordered, Robert also was considerate of my time and made sure to have my truck taken care of. I have been to this locations numerous times and have recorded nothing but stellar service from them. I have never felt like I was being taken advantage of. In fact they fixed my moms tire for free on her truck, (that's right free as in $0). They could of totally tried to scam a 78 year old woman, but instead they impressed both her and me. Very pleased with service I received from discount tire today. Worked with dustin. I had a michelin ltx mx2 tire with leaky valve stem with less thsn 15k miles on it. Before I had anytime to think about how much this would set me back they did the work for free. Im talking free parts/labor for tire with no ties to discount tire. While there for the short wait, I observed every one of their front desk techs opening and closing doors. Greeting customers halfway. Picking up phones asap. Everyone going out of their way to make this an easy and caring process. I'll def be purchasing my next set of tires with them. I've bought a lot of tires over the last few years from Discount Tire and have never had a problem with them. Only reason I'm posting a 3 star review is to warn other customers that their online reservation system doesn't mean anything to them. I ordered tires from them and the day after they were delivered to the store I arrived the next morning early for an 8:30am confirmed reservation. My car wasn't brought into the bay until 9:05am even though there were three empty bays. When I asked the installer why it took so long to be waited on he replied that there other customers ahead of me. Okay... so why did you confirm a reservation when you didn't intend to honor it??? read more

These guys are great, I called ahead to find out what time they were taking people till and they said 6:00 pm. I arrived at 5:40 pm, they were very busy so I waited about 15 minutes to get checked in. They didn't turn me away, I was done by 6:50 pm but I was grateful they were willing to check my tires since I had to drive out of town in the morning. I've been a customer of Discount Tire for years because all the locations act like the other ones. Consistently good service no matter which one you go to. The Customer Rep's treat you respectfully and their customer service is consistent from location to location. The Techs in the garage are hustling hot or cold no matter where I go. This newer location is no different. Nothing but good marks on my visits here.They honor the roadhazard certificates without any problems. Ask them about tires: they don't try to push the most expensive tire they have nor push a sale then and there. They are reasonably fast if you show up without an appointment and its busy. They are especially quick if you do have a appointment. read more

I'm finally writing one because of the amazing ethics and customer service my wife encountered at Discount Tire in Kyle today. I've bought tires from them in the past but had no special loyalty. I'll now buy from them whenever possible and encourage others to do so. I don't want to be too specific about what they did for us as I wouldn't want them to be taken advantage of by others. But if you are in need of solid, ethical advice, excellent customer service, and fast-acting tire people, these are the ones to go see, no question about it. I'm going to be contacting their management about this too. This is the kind of customer service that most companies only dream of (and that it's often easy to think is nowhere to be found today). Was having a tough day and the last thing I needed was a tiny nail in the sidewall of a practically new tire relegating it to the scrap heap. And of course this was one of two tires on the car without the warranty (always get the warranty!). Being a German car, I wasn't looking forward to the expensive low profile super sticky tire price and my heart sank as the amount was quoted over the phone. The manager Zach came on the phone at the request of the service personnel helping me, and he felt my pain. I can tell you this, when they say that they're all about customer satisfaction and safety, you can take that to the bank. Zach not only solved the problem, but he actually put a smile on my face and a sense of relief came over me which I was not expecting at all. I've been treated fairly and well by all Discount Tire locations, but this one is special and it's because of people like Zach. I'm glad it's the one closest to my house! One last thing; if you live in a new neighborhood that is under construction, for goodness sake, get the warranty on ALL of your tires! read more
