I brought my truck in to have two front tires replaced, and after being told the work was complete, I got in to leave and immediately noticed that both front TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors had been damaged. On top of that, one front tire had 65 PSI and the other had 85 PSI--well above the recommended pressure for my truck. This is completely unacceptable. I spent well over $1,000 today, and I expected my vehicle to be returned in proper working condition. Instead, I was given a truck with damaged tire sensors and dangerously overinflated tires. Hi folks. Time for hard facts based upon my own experience. I have used Discount Lire in the past. Would I recommend them to notice buyers? Never. Would I recommend them as a place for tire repairs like punctures? No. Why? They are deceptive. Deception means they may be telling truths based upon their corporate structure and corporate ethos, but that is not the objective truth. Today my sons car had a small puncture within the tires thread groove, about two inches in from the outer side wall. By any other tire shop this is well within the repar zone. Punctures on sidewalks are unsafe to be repaired, thus objectively "non-repairable." At Discount Lires. if you are a rookie driver and know too little about car repairs, tires more specifically, their techs will use a ton of chalk outlining around the hole to include areas extending over the sidewall. The chalk is not the hole. The hole is where the hole is and no matter how big your outline is drawn, it did not move the effing hole you shiesty, grifting sobs. ( Do not pardon my French, as that was English slang, not French). The tech said it was non-repairable. This is called a lie. Had he said by Discounts internal standards it is non-repairable, or "we do not repair tires when..." that would be the truth, but to say it was non-repairable means by any tire shop, and that was a flat out lie, a misrepresentation of the truth, and another 10 miles of lie. So just say "we can't fix it, but truthfully another shop can safely repair this." Be honest because not all of us are nubies. I took it to my normal shop, Kings Custom Wheels and Tires. They love selling tires as well, but they also repair tires if it will be safe to operate on. Safe enough for their own family members they love, not the oddball they don't care for. Kings took the tire apart, placed a patch on the inside, badabing, back on the road. No lies, no shiesty upsell pressure as with Discount Lires. Unless your back is against the wall and you have no other alternative, skip DT. They are trained to do whatever it takes to upsell a new tire over a repair. It's insulting because those of us more knowledgeable know they're lying and taking advantage of what others just don't know. Sad thing is, they are pretty competitive where new tire pricing goes. But if you lose my trust in one area, you've lost it all around. I'd pay another place a little more for honesty, than a cheaper price to a dishonest business. My values aren't for sale. Picture is the remnants of chalk post repair. They lied. A half truth is a whole lie. Had the hole been inside that chalk that remains, I'd agree. It wasn't even close. Scammers. Update* See the Customer service reply? It contains a link to make us think they care... aweeee. It's a link to fleet services requiring a log on. I bought a set of four Michelin tires from this location, and everything was great! I used their online system to buy the tires, schedule an appointment, and to even get a military discount. The store was very busy when I showed up for my appointment, but they got the car into the service bay and changed out all four tires efficiently--I was out the door about 30 minutes later. They were also very courteous and responsive to my request to use jack pads on my Tesla. Even the price was a great value as I compared it to Costco, and the two were almost identical. Did I mention the tires now have free rotation and balancing for the life of the tire? What else could I possibly ask for? Discount Tire knocked this out of the park! read more

The guys kindly checked it for free and found out the alignment wasn't even done correctly. Tires were delivered to the site, dropped off my wheels the next day and had an appointment set up the following day. Multiple days later I called as I had not heard any updates. Only to find out they were now going to begin working on them because I called. Wheels were then returned to me damaged, days after my original appointment. This location found a manufacturers defect in each of the front tires, making them almost free to replace and informed me my back tires looked fine. Definitely recommend. read more

These guys are the best in the business, bar-none. They remain the best for what they DON'T do. They don't sell alignment, brakes, oil changes, fuel filters, or anything else, and they don't have quotas on their employees' heads requiring certain levels of sales irregardless of what the customer really needs. I like that they put the wheels on with a torque wrench, as those wheel studs are rather soft and easy to damage. Their prices come in under Big Box Mart, and they are much faster being they are not trying to do 14 other kinds of things in their garage. Their people are tire and wheel professionals, or they have changed the whole industry into a professional trade; something we never knew before the company showed up in the marketplace. Even when they have a stack of customers waiting, they are blazing fast. This morning I had rotate and balance done with new TPMS sensors, and I've been away from home a whopping 0:45 minutes. It's all those other companies out there selling tires that have made this company look so very good to me. More than once I've fallen for suggestive selling only to learn I didn't need that, and that company actually created a problem I didn't have. The fact they are wheel and tire specialists, and don't get into auto repair is their single biggest calling card. At any store, anywhere, you're going to like what you get. They have only sold me about 30 sets of tires in roughly 40 years, and I'll never again go near one of those corporate shops that wants to be everything to everyone. There's a lot to know about wheels and tires on the number of different brands and choices in the marketplace. These guys don't do anything else, and heck yes I'd recommend them to anybody for service on your wheels or tires only. If you have bent an expensive wheel, they can have it straightened for you in under 1 business day. I disagree with them on only one issue and that's the use of tire plugs. This company will tell you they are unsafe, which I flatly dispute. The only thing unsafe about them is it dents their profits. I'm still living in the WWII years, where consumers would do ANYTHING to save a tire, because there were no new ones for sale anywhere. If you puncture a tire in the crown, yes you can successfully plug it, even though it can't take a patch. When I'm confronted with that I just take the car back home and put a plug in it myself. And, until just one causes a tire failure I don't believe they are unsafe. If there were truly any safety issues with a tire plug, then why are they sold by retailers everywhere? You won't find better prices or service anywhere outside of Discount Tire. They live up to their name. read more

This is the best discount tire ever. They are so nice and treat each customer unique because some are upset that their tire blew out and some just want a check-up. I have Matt this morning and he was so professional and helpful. Two of my tires blew out on Saturday evening and I left my car in the parking lot till Monday. I am not 100% sure but I am pretty sure Matt was waiting for me and looked up my tires before I got there. Anticipating that I would need my tires replaced. After Matt greeted me because he remembered me from the last time he took me to my car and ensured me that they can get the tires on the day of and he could get me fixed up. I went to this location to get my tires rotated in late May, as I was overdue for the service. I had already gone once to get my low tire pressure notice looked at and I was initially impressed with how kind the employees were. As a younger female, it's always nerve-racking to go in these types of places with the thought you might get oversold or lied to. When I went in May, they told me they wouldn't rotate my tires because they were wearing unevenly and needed to be replaced as soon as possible (all four). This was a shock to me because they were pretty new - but again, I'm not the expert. I didn't opt in to replacing them all because I was moving soon and wanted to check with my preferred service location. I had my car checked out by a family friend of 50+ years and it turns out my tires are not even at 20% usage. It's so disappointing that I almost dropped over $1,000 on brand new tires at the direction of ill-advice from this shop. If you're a woman, I would unfortunately recommend going in this place with a male figure (father, boyfriend, husband, uncle, friend, etc.) in order to not be taken advantage of. read more

I had purchased 4 tires a few years ago with road hazard protection. They would not rotate the tires due to "uneven wear" on the front tires. I went home and rotated the tires myself and they were all in fantastic condition. These guys used to be known for their over the top service and I have been using them for 25+ years and have had nothing but good things to say about them, but I will probably not be going back. The punk kid in charge was real smug to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I am a certified aircraft mechanic and have worked on every kind of car for over 40 years. The tires were good. I went to get my tires checked because one of them were low, when I get there Junior tells me all of my tires need to be changed even though they hasn't been changed 2 weeks ago. So I call you there to tell them that Junior lied to me, cause all my tire needed was to be patched. So Anthony tells me to come up there and he will check it out. So I go up there, Anthony (who is the so called manager?) goes out there to look at my tires, he tells me that after me leaving there Initially, that I went to another shop and got new tires, and that "he knows his guys, and they don't lie". They squeezed me in without an appointment. The guy I felt with was quick but made a mistake when inputting my mileage. He added 30,000 miles to my truck. This is problematic because in the age of carfax it may set up some question in a year or so and I sell my cars and the carfax says it had more miles a year ago than now. Then it looks like the installer did not do such a good job filling the tires. They all had the wrong pressure, 27 in both rears tires and 34 and 35 in the front tires. According to the manufacturer it should be 30 all around. Kind of sloppy but at least the didn't cross thread any studs like the discount tires in Bedford did and try to blame the previous shop.
