My overall experience with Discount Tire is disappointing and you should be aware that they're commission based- so they're really going to push those tire sales. If I could rate the business as a whole I would rate them with a one star. But since I had a flat, because of repair they didn't successfully completed I was able to get ahold of the district manager and get my issue resolved with a big push on my end to not give up or give in. But my last experience was horrible at the Eastern location. They turned me away because there was mechanical issue with my tire- which I guess is code word for new tires- the warranty was invalid and the tire rep refuse to rotate my tires because they were worn out- which is funny because Costco who doesn't work on commission said my tire were still a 6 and all feathered but still had some more miles left. I am glad I walked away from $900 purchase- and ignored the tire rep, trying to use Tesla suspension as a reason I need new tires immediately read more

Disappointed in Service & Scheduling Priorities I scheduled my appointment a week in advance to ensure a smooth and timely process for a simple tire rotation. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 3:15 PM appointment and was checked in by Jorge at 3:24 PM. He told me the service would take approximately 45 minutes. After checking in, I stepped outside and walked over to FatBurger next door to make a call and happened to see an old friend who was driving into Discount to get four tires replaced on his F-250 pickup truck. He arrived around 3:26 PM I only know this because I had started to make my call and hung up to talk to my friend, that's how I was able to reference the times in writing this review. While I was outside sitting in front of the FatBurger I seen my friend's truck get pulled into the service bay before my vehicle which had been sitting untouched the entire time. By 4:05 PM -- over 40 minutes later -- my vehicle was still sitting in the parking lot. When I went back inside the store, Jorge was assisting another customer, so I waited until he finished. I asked for my keys since my service still hadn't started and only because my friend who had a 4:00pm appointment was there after me and already getting service. Jorge offered no apology, no explanation, and no effort made to get my vehicle in right away. At that point, he asked if I wanted to reschedule, and I told him I'd probably take my vehicle to a different location where they would honor my appointment. I understand that other customers wouldn't normally know each other's appointment times, but in this case, I did -- and seeing a later appointment being serviced first, without any communication, was disappointing. I have been a loyal Discount Tire Company for over 30 years and keep coming back, not expecting any special treatment anytime that I have come here. Discount Tire, you can do better. And Jorge, you can do better too. EDIT: After having a conversation with Cruz the store manager, he wanted to make it right and sure enough did. It was dark and raining so I drove to this location before they closed and was told my tire was fixable (I had a nail in the repairable area). They never checked the integrity of the front end arms and linkages before performing a service that requires good integrity. Wheel alignment scam, instead of telling me they couldn't do it because of worn out control arm bushings, they supposedly did an alignment that made things worse it tore up the two front tires they just replaced in the short time it took to get the car home. Stopped by to get new tires for our little nissan versa. Had to wait in line several people ahead of me. Finally got called gentleman went out with me measured the tire treads came back inside. We started looking at options and prices he said the size we had were reasonable in price. Started high price then came back to something not too expensive but good quality. Also mentioned the wipers for the front windshield. Got them new also experience was about less than 2 hours with selection and getting them replaced. I'd call this the worst discount tire experience I've had so far - and that says alot I've been to many locations in various states over years for a lot of my vehicles and this one was the worst I went online, order my tires and paid in advance. The website sold me on this because it touted a quick check in process, speedy service and prioritized service bay assistance and I didn't experience any of that. It took forever to check in with several people in line and one man helping everyone. I never got a notice that my car was checked in after they took my key and they serviced several cars before mine. I'm convinced the only reason they took my car back is because I went up and asked an hour after my service appointment time slot. I'm not sure why their website claims prepaid customers get 'first available bay' privileges it's just not true. Overall I'm disappointed. Mostly in myself because I thought the 'prepay and get great service' hype. Also disappointed because I couldn't cancel and rebook somewhere else at a sister location without a lot of hoops and hassle. Fair warning - don't expect amazing customer service or fast work here. I kept driving down the street and ended up at discount tire. They got me set up in their system and went ahead a fixed it for me. BIG shout out to Discount tire on Sunset (Across from SMITHS) Manager was training a new employee, I went there to swap out my smaller wheel tires with the new gold wheels and tires for a SUPER fair price (saved me a lot of time doing it myself) ALSO to note. this is the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I ever saw anyone use the torque wrench when installing the new wheels and they made sure the pressure was correct. i took my car once for new tires, one of them was leaking due to the reason that they damaged the rim. i took it back and the manager was denying my complaint, and at the same time he was very offensive about it and at the end he convinced me to leave my car there to be able to inspect the tire for any leak, well days later he finally came up to the conclusion that the tire was leaking due to age and wear issue, and then tried to make me a deal selling me new tires and telling me that it was ok for me to make payments or half on delivery of the car and the other half at the next month, well; it does not end there, they drove my car keeping ot for amweek and crashed and damaged my car. so i ended up calling my insurance company to have them help me fix it at henderson chevrolet, they damaged three rims and a fender with bumper damage. yet since the beginning mister cruz one of the guys in charge was able to at least take responsibility from the day one to pay for it. the lesson to learn here is that the customer is always right. it was cheaper for mister cruz to admit damaging my one rim and fix it then all the mess they created at the end. very disappointed and will never go back neither recommend them. read more

So my family and I was on a road trip to vegas and our suv tires started acting funny about halfway to vegas causing the car to vibrate and having a bumpy ride. A sensor went off saying one or more 's pressure was low. we pulled over put air in the tires to the correct psi and got back on the road but the vibration continued. We called the dealership and a service tech went over that the tires on the car may have a layer of foam that may have expanded and broke so it may be to blame. By this point I picked up the phone and called the nearest tire spot to our destination which was discount tire on sunset road. It was already pretty late in the day almost six pm and I got to speak to Cruz. I explained my dilemma with the tires, Cruz went out of his way to look up the correct tires and pricing but also assured me they would see what the problem is before we even purchased a new set. We arrived 10 mins to closing, a worked came out worker came out examine the cars tires and check the air pressure. Cruz came over and explained what was going on with the tires and everything made perfect sense Because the tires were pretty old and needed to be changed out. Cruz went over and above to track down the correct type of tires and three were from one shop because it's all they had in stock and he tracked down a 4th one to make a matching set. And got them transported to the discount tire on Sunset Road within 20 minutes of our arrival. Cruz truly is the "Tire Houdini". Not to mention they priced match for the other tire shops we talk to for the same tires and warranty.The crew worked over to make sure we were back on the road and in a safe condition with the new tires. I scheduled an appointment in advance for 12:15pm. It's 1:35pm and I'm sitting in the lobby and they still have NOT even pulled my car into the service bay yet. Absolutely horrible!!! I definitely will not be returning to this business. I have been a loyal customer to the Discount Tire Stores for years with all of my vehicles. Definitely not worth it. I arrived this morning around 9am - prior to coming down here I spoke to Dom which made me wanna come down here. He expressed that the nail or rock that we had in our tire would be easy to fix. I've been to this location twice and it's because of my two experiences that I will definitely be coming back. With my latest visit, I walked in about 15 minutes before they were going to close (which I am grateful for still being serviced at that time) with a tire that I needed to completely replace. I was serviced very quickly and was given thorough explanations on what was going on. It hadn't been my first time, but I still appreciated knowing what they were doing. I was brought inside and given options. The first time I needed a new tire, he had searched for a while before finding on in stock in the state. However this time, there weren't any that were in stock so I had settled on a different brand that was suggested. In full transparency, I shouldn't be one to comment on the prices because it's not something I understand. But the single tire that I had bought previously was around $350 and the pair that I had bought this time around was around $300. Granted, the first tire was from a more expensive manufacturer (I had bought it because it matched my other tires, that is the sole reason why). During both experiences, I was given options and different prices. It seemed as though I was getting a good value for it. There are other free services they offer that I was not aware of but may take advantage of now because of the customer service that they provide. read more

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I am sooo appreciative that discount tire repairs flat tires free of charge. I had gotten a nail in my tire and had to get my car towed in. The sales rep scanned my tires and for some reason the tread showed as 4. I had just gotten my multi point inspection done at my dealership half a year ago and my tires were 6-7. I wfh and hardly drive my car so this was so odd to me! Anyways, the scare that I got when the rep told me I would need to buy 4 new tires quoting me $430+. Of course I do understand the reasoning and safety precautions behind their recommendation but I told him I was not prepared to purchase 4 new tires. I had been reassured by multiple people my tire was definitely repairable. At that point he agreed to have the tech look at it. Turns out it was a small nail so they patched it for free. January 12, 2023 - Awesome Customer Service! I rarely drive, but not many people can drive stick shift. I am grateful that I can. January 4, 2023, my other half broke his foot at work and you need to feet to drive stick shift, wouldn't have been a problem except it was his left foot. I had to go get his truck while he was at the emergency room. Had to stop and put air because of a slow leak. Thursday we didn't go anywhere, Friday my son asked to be dropped off at work, we had to put air in the tire first, three gas stations the machines were not working, I remembered when we saw Discount Tires that they help you with air in your tires for free, a service I am absolutely happy that they provide. For me at this moment is Chaos. Anxiety and all that is kicking in. So Discount Tire saved the day. I get the air in the tire, take my son to work and go back to see how they can help me. Thank you Adam for assisting me and making me feel welcomed and taking that extra step. I told him I need to replace the tire and he got the information he needed and went to see what he could do to help me. He found some solutions and got the ball rolling. The fact that he came to my vehicle and helped me was a huge plus in my books. I put a deposit on the tire, the order was placed and on Monday, January 9, 2023 my tire was in and I could come by anytime. By 1 pm I was ready with a new tire. I have been to different Discount Tire's but this one was the one that stood out. Like I say Customer Service is always at the top of my list. A new feature was the link they send you so you can track what is happening and when your vehicle is ready. The bay was clean and organized. The Techs seemed to always be moving. This was the first place I noticed that every vehicle coming out of the bay had a spotter as they backed out, that was awesome to see, lol reminds me of the guys as they take the planes to the runway. No matter who you asked, my questions were answered. It is important to me to know that they do have stick shift drivers (sorry, didn't know how else to phrase that), because a lot of places do not have them. The service I received here is what makes me recommend them. I just want to recognize Adam for his service and making me feel like I was his top priority and giving me the peace of mind I needed because an unsafe tire is dangerous. He helped me with different options and was very knowledgeable. I told him my situation and he took that extra step to make a bad situation brighter. Kyle, remembered me and that is a plus as well, it's awesome to know that your name, face or issue is recognized. Of course I can't forget Jerry the Tech that did the actual work on my tire. Everyone has their opinion of what they think is good and bad, I like to write what I believe is good. I had a bad experience at the horizon Ridge location recently so I decided to try this location for another 4 tires. Unfortunately this location was a disappointment as well. I dropped off four brand-new wheels to get new tires put on them. They were a little late with the promise time but I was fine with that. I picked them up and they atleast helped me load the wheels into my car. But when I got home to unload the wheels I noticed all the wheels were covered in a waxy paste and tire shine. The quality of service from this company is not what it used to be. Not only were they a mess, the inside of one of my wheels were scratched up. I'm assuming it was the first wheel they serviced and noticed what damage the machine had caused and took extra measures to prevent further damage on the rest of the wheels since the rest of the wheels were fine. Probably inserted a rag or rubber on the gripper part of the machine. Which then leads to an integrity issue with the staff since they failed to mention this damage to me and just hoped i would not notice. Safe to say, I am done with this company. I will take my business elsewhere and recommend my friends and family to do the same. read more

just a quick good experience , there is nothing like discount tire when it comes to customer service, just this morning 8-18-2023 i had to stop by to correct a minor issue with one of my wiper blades replaced by them previously, yet this morning when i pulled into their parking lot, my little issue and my car were fixed in a matter of no more than five minutes by mister nick. and obviously took me back to when discount tire started their business with their trust and really good service when it comes to solving an issue. First , managers don't know what's going on. They give you a time frame then forget about you completely. I brought a single tire to get replaced and they gave me a 2hr wait time and when I came back nobody even knew where my tire was and still had to wait another hour for them to just do a simple swap. Half the workers in the garage are just standing there talking and nobody is ever up front to answer any question. This location is horrible. read more

The wife and I have purchased tires for multiple vehicles at Discount Tire over the years. They are always friendly and if you come in first thing in the morning the wait is always minimal. Drop off your vehicle, go across the street to see a movie and BAM! Your car is ready to be picked up. If a location does not have the tires in stock, another store can deliver them instead of making you drive to another location (as long as they are in stock in town). They offer free tire rotation if you purchased tires and will always do tread depth checks. If your tires do not live up to the mileage advertised, they even give you a rebate on your next set of tires if you trade them in (based on manufacturers suggested mileage rating and tread depth once minimum mileage is obtained). Most locations will also offer a military discount. Will be back again in 6 months for a tire rotation. Thanks for another job well done. Because I always feel like I get taken advantage of for being a girl when it comes to cars and mechanics. I always feel like men talk to me differently and over charge me on tires/services whatever. BUT, when I pulled into Discount Tire this morning- I didn't feel that vibe from this place not one bit. My tire pressure turned on today on my way to school, and I found Discount Tire along the way, perfect! There is a separate line coming in from the back for FREE tire pressure check. After waiting behind about 4 cars, a total time of 15 minutes it was my turn- I was up... Rich, my mechanic was super friendly and greeted with a genuine smile. After telling him my situation, he checked all tire pressures- then added air as needed. Dang, it was bad.... he said it was a good thing I came in because my tires were dangerously low. He added enough air to make my tires safe again then provided recommendations on two tires that are running out of tread (this wasn't a surprise-I knew of this, just lazy to get new tires). With that said, I like how I wasn't pressured to buy tires right then and there, also Rich talked to me in laymen's terms and didn't treat me different for being a female. I need two new tires and will be returning to this location so Rich can work on my car, safe and sound. *High fives! read more

This is probably the worst discount tire I've been to. The wait time to even get checked in took me 30 min! Got in at 12:00 and didn't get helped till 12:32 . Standing in line for 30min to just talk to someone about an issue I have with my tires that I bought from them. They have no sense of urgency and don't even acknowledge you standing in line for so long. No apology or anything when finally got helped so that's the kind of service they are offering. This isn't the first time this has happened to me as well. I've been here a couple months ago as well and the same thing happened but I let it go and told myself it was probably one of those days for them. I was wrong nothing has changed and whoever the manager is should train their employees to be more responsive and have more of a sense of urgency to help other customers. read more

I had originally gone to a different discount tires location and i am so happy and lucky that i ended up leaving and coming to this one instead. Zach is extremely friendly, patient, and pleasant. He showed me where the air was leaking out at in my tire and ensured i had a thorough understanding as to how it could've happened and why it was unrepairable. I live 35-40 minutes from this location but will always be going back just because of him. Noah also was the one who did the actual work on my car and he too was very friendly and helpful.
