I've been a longtime customer and recently went to the Discount Tire for a slow leak in the tire and was turned away. I'm not sure what happened to this store but the front staff has been replaced with individuals who obviously are not concerned with the benefit of the customer. My initial contact was met with a person (I believe Dawson) who acted as though I was a burden for even entering the store. When I spoke with another associate (I believe Ricky) and mentioned the slow leak, he immediately went negative and said he couldn't fix the tire and that I would have to purchase new tires. Rather than argue, I decided to go to Les Schwab for the repair where they quickly and courteously repaired the tire at NO charge. It's unfortunate that a few employees with zero regard for customer service can be allowed to destroy a once good company. Excellent very fast professional service... I see why they were so busy I needed tires for our RV and as it turned out I need to be in Pocatello/Chubbuck for a funeral... having priced tires locally these guys where $156 lower than best price locally (out the door), for a set Goodyear Endurance tires... so I made an appointment... I pulled the wheels/ tires off my trailer and drove 110 miles dropped them off they said they would text me when they were done... we went to lunch at Olive Garden next door...29 min later we got a text to pick up the tires... how impressive is that? Awesome service!!! especially when you consider how very busy they were. This is first trip to Discount Tires my only request is that they open up shop in my town LOL...they own my business going forward... PS. They are a great company: Vet discount, free flat repair, and rotations. I know this sounds like a commercial for Direct Tires but it's not... just an honest endorsement and I have the pictures of my Airstream trailer resting on Jacks waiting for the new tires ... also a picture of 5 wheels and tires stuffed in my wife's Prius. We found ANOTHER SCREW in our new tires. Wow I feel like a scrap metal magnet right now. Stopped at Discount tire while on a road trip through Idaho. I love that discount tire is everywhere. It makes the convenience of tire repair simple when you are away from home. The downside is waiting 90 minutes to get a quick tire repair. We arrived at 10:15 and there were five cars ahead of us. Argh. Oh well. I want to get in and out but it's just not likely to happen on a Monday morning I guess. We waited in the car while they churned through the backlog to get to us. Overall they were quick to get us into the workflow but I just had too high of expectations about a quick fix. read more

Outstanding service, kindly provided by people who knew I was in a pinch. I was on vacation with a rental car that had very worn out tires but didn't know it because I only reviewed the exterior scratches of the car before I accepted it. Had already traveled around 200 or more miles, before I knew that I had problems with the tires being worn and having inflation issues on the rental car. Stopped by Discount tire in Chubbuck and asked them for help and to teach me about how to make it through the rest of my trip if possible. The rental car tires had bald interior wear and since I had to go over 400 miles total in remote places on that car I needed to be ready for a flat since the rental company took no responsibility. This store told me all the precautions I needed to take with these worn tires which made my risky trip much safer. I took their advice while driving with these worn out tires which I didn't want to replace. I made it the remaining 200 or more miles. I could have had a flat and been unprepared, if it was not for the good advice of these people who cared and told me how to drive this car on these bad tires to make it safely the rest of the way back. Thank you for taking the time to explain how to be safer on bad tires so I made it back without incident. This company's employees cared to advise me so with my decision and their knowledge I finished my trip safely on badly worn rental car tires. Thank you. read more

Walked in this morning, no appointment. Needed to have two valve stem extensions installed on my right rear dual tires. Tech worked hard, finally narrowed down a problem to the existing stems. The inner pin was inset too far and this prevented any air flow from getting into the tire. So he removed both wheels and replaced the valves, then re-installed the extensions. Then he aired all six tires up to spec (75psi front, 80psi rear) for my heavy Class C RV. He also aired up the spare. He also made some suggestions for a quick fix for my decorative hub cap which has a loose part. Total cost for all of this: $0.00 We rolled out of town about 9:30am, pretty much our normal departure time. What amazing service! Best place in town for your tire needs. I was a die hard Schwab customer for 20 years until they botched an appointment and I took my business that time to discount tire on Yellowstone across from Walmart. They blew me away with their customer service and speed of service. I haven't gone any place since and I'm now on my 4th set of tires purchased from them. None of the discounts were noticed.Do they offer mail-in rebates or hassle free financing ,with customer service based in US ? I gave them a try while comparing prices/sizes and other options.Found better deals in the area.So not so sure where the discounts come from and when and how the price cut part kicks in. I know few people who liked them, but for me to come to them and drive for 60 minutes , then wait whatever it takes to change the tires there should be some significant discount.On the other hand where can the potential discount come from ? I would not not want to purchase new tires that spent longer than half a year on the shelf.Or anything from China.And I am pretty sure they are not working for free. With Big-O if you choose carefully there can be around $100 in rebates.Same tire is offered by Discount tire only $0.99 cheaper , does not sound like a huge discount and I am not very good at haggling. Meet and beat any price ? You have to finance with them and get their card to get around $ 40 in rebates , sometimes around $60 on more expensive set of tires.But none of the manufacturer rebates are offered. They are very polite and professional on the phone,but price-wise...there are places in Pocatello which do precisely the same,just cheaper. No interest if paid in full within 6, 9, or 12 months sounds nice , but Big O offers similar conditions plus better rebates. So overall comparing my options within reasonable driving distance(I am not commuting for 3 hrs to get better service)I would say they are not the most affordable tire place in our area. read more

My partner and I have used Discount Tire as long as we've owned vehicles, and haven't had a bad experience at any location, but this location proves exceptional. The entrance and seating area is comfortable, not cluttered, and very clean (which is not typical for a tire shop). They offer honest and usable advice, and are eager to ensure a positive experience. I never feel as though my lack of knowledge in all things automobile is taken advantage of in this shop. Rather, they have walked me through what would be best for my personal needs, not attempting to up-sell me into something I have no practical use for. Because of the exceptional service and products, and their screamin' warranties, they have saved us a LOT of money and hassle. *I would like to mention earnestly that my partner is a member of the Chubbuck Discount Tire team, and my review is solely a reflection of my experience as a customer, not as an affiliate. Had a sidewall blowout on the side of a mountain while elk hunting. With no Discount Tire close, I had to get a new tire at a local shop but Joe here in Pocatello said if I bring the blowout in, they'd prorate the blowout tire. They did and it was easy! read more

I love the guys down at discount tire in chubbuck Idaho, they are awesome. Chase was great the past the week, I came in for a routine tire rotation but my tires were on their last leg, so I ordered new tires and they were there two days later. I got those installed and then ordered more tires for our car and they got done in less than an hour. They are super friendly, helpful and have a great attitudes, it's a good experience every time we go in there. read more

We were traveling home to california when our run flat tire began losing air between Idaho falls and Pocatello. We pulled off to go to another nearby tire shop to see if they could fix it ( there was an hour and a half wait just to see), so we pulled into Discount Tire in Yellowstone Ave, and we have never had such AMAZING service! They had us pull our car into a bay right away, popped the tire off and patched and fixed it (Kaleoh is the technician who was top notch and friendly). All within about 20-30 minutes! And...when we asked what it cost, they said it was free! Apparently their policy WOW. We cannot say enough about this shop. Thank you so much. I have always enjoyed having a tire store close to my house. Recently I purchased all four struts to be replaced. After calling other tire stores, I was surprised to find your store had the best price. I paid 600.00 to get all 4 struts replaced. After almost 2 months of driving with a "bottom out" noise constantly (even on little bumps). I took it back in to find out the mechanic only put surrounding coil springs on 1 strut. The other 3 he put the old coil springs on.........WHY? Now I have to purchase 3 new coil springs. This should not be the customers fault! I was never told about this or even asked if I wanted coil springs all the way around. This is a bad business practice and should never of happened. We were heading up to Lava Hot Springs on Friday August 11th. We hit a bad storm and lost two vent covers on our motorhome. When we found an RV Store in Chubbuck I noticed we had blown a tire as well. We were several minutes from the store. We arrived just as they were getting ready to close. The Store Manager did not seem put out or upset we arrived at 6:00 and started working on our tire. All of the workers worked fast on the motorhome.
