A very White Christmas necessitated a change from all-weather to winter tires, while staying in Sunriver Resort. The website enabled me to research and pick-out some Michelin Latitude Ice Pros, get an out-the-door price, set up a service appointment at the Bend store, and be informed about a mail-in rebate. Worked like a charm from check-in at the store thru the drive back over Lava Butte to Sunriver. Couldn't have been more efficient and informative. Horrible experience, will not be giving them any business in the future. They fundamentally failed at their entire business model today. I called them, ordered tires, they set my appointment 2 weeks out. I drive into Bend on my day off (40min one way) to get said tires put on and they tell me they're one short. I asked to speak to a manager, waited, was approached by another customer service man, told him I was waiting to speak to a manager. He then proceeds to tell me they are one short. Both blaming it on Covid and Fed ex. I left, then the manager calls me. I tell him, that's funny, I tired to speak to you twice while there. He proceeds to place blame on others, and trying to sell me on another set, non current. Wtf? You know, I really wanted what I ordered, and I held up my part of the agreement, and I even showed up early for my appointment. At no point was there ever an apology offered. Poor customer service, no accountability, and zero compassion. I would not recommend them to any one, but if you do decide to do business with them, make sure to call them a few times, make sure that the products you said and scheduled to have put on are there and ready, DO their JOB for them because they don't, and make sure things are good to go. Fantastic service and great prices. I was given multiple options for new tires by Bryan and all were explained well and thoroughly with pros and cons. Quality time was taken and I feel comfortable and confident in my selection. I was also very impressed with their customer service with everyone. I witnessed a very (old) grumpy person who had nothing good to say and nothing but complaints. RJ handled it perfectly and politely. I went into this store after dealing with wheels rubbing on my leaf springs. After a great conversation with RJ, a manager at this store, we were able to find an awesome set of wheel for a great price that did not rub anymore or force me to buy a new set of tires. I am bummed to give this place a bad review. I bought all my tires at Discount Tires in Kirkland WA, when I lived there, so when I found a big construction staple in my tire in Bend, I figured it was a good chance to check out the DT near my new home in Bend OR. It was NOT a good experience. They were hopping busy when I came in, after calling first, and it took quite awhile to get helped...I will not hold that against them. And I had to leave the car a few hours, and get my wife to pick me up and drop me off again. Also, not a problem. I had carefully reviewed the problem with the intake person, pointing to the staple and pointing out the big felt tip marker mark on the side wall of the tire pointing to the spot. Couldn't make it any clearer. I came back a few hours later and the job was "complete" and all written up as done. Except the staple was still in the well marked tire. They had written down the wrong tire and the tech didn't even question not finding a leak or staple. So I waited again while they fixed the correct tire. It looks like they just shot in an external plug into the hole, which I didn't even think was allowed, and when I got home I also checked the tire pressure, which was dangerously over pressure. I am really disappointed, and will now have to compare the alternatives when it comes time to buy new sets of tires for our cars. read more

Hey guys! I have bought 5 set of tires through these guys over the last few years. They are by far the best tire store to go to. I have never waited more than an hour there. They honor military discounts (with valid ID) and ALWAYS price match. Best customer service in Bend hands down. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and clearly dedicated to there profession. I'm glad they don't perform other services, like brakes etc... that would be like going to your dentist for a physical. Awesome service, great selection, outstanding staff. read more

America's Tire Store in Bend is a complete joke. Not only do they lack professionalism but apparently a complete lack of automotive knowledge. Arriving in the morning we were told the car would be done in roughly three hours. After calling at 5pm (7 hours later) we were told the car was done. Drove all the way over to the store only to be jokingly told that my car was "13 cars behind" and would not be done anytime soon. The individual working there gave me a sad sob story how he worked from 7am to 3am the other day. OK Show up around 8pm to grab house keys off my keychain. Notice my car is just sitting in the parking lot running. Figure it must be up soon so I wait..and wait. 15 minutes pass by and my car is just sitting there running and burning gas. I walk in and ask them why it's just sitting there. They tell me it needs to warm up because the "Axles are frozen".... wow seriously? They either think i'm a moron or they themselves are morons. Go to Les Schwab. Don't waste your time, money, or gas on these incompetent hacks. read more

I understand that it is busy right now, tires are cheap at America's Tire, they "will not be undersold!" but when I paid for an extended warranty and I drop off my rig with what I am told is a couple hour wait to get a flat tire fixed, I expect it to be fixed within a few hours... When it takes 6 hrs for them to even look at it, then tell me its done when they didn't even fix it, well that is just horrible. Honestly I can see how they couldn't find the leak... But I did tell them that I put a can of fix a flat in it... so I guess that must have plugged the hole temporarily, but for them to just assume I was mistaken is frustrating. Had the vehicle at America's tire all day on Saturday, Monday morning the tire is flat. So... Yeah I give it 2 stars. I know Les Schwabs knows how to fix a flat, I guess I will have to pay to get this fixed correctly. read more

We've been going to America's Tire in Bend for years and have always been happy with their service but our last experience with them is what compelled me to write this review. We had purchased tires from them a couple of years ago which we were disappointed in because they wore down way too quickly. Since winter is right around the corner, we figured it was time to suck it up and buy new tires. When we went into America's Tire and showed them the wear on our current tires they totally took care of it without hesitation. The old tires were under warranty so we got new tires (that shouldn't do the same thing as the last set) at a huge discount with no hassle. I'm very impressed with their customer service...and their prices in general are better than the other guys too. We are happy customers. read more

I walked into America's Tire on the road from Seattle. I had just called my mechanic and he suspected tire tread separation. I kept what my mechanic had said to myself as Justin looked over the tires. He brought me out to the car to show me the problem, the same diagnosis as my mechanic stated. Justin was helpful in helping me pick out new tires, selling me what I asked for - a solid tire in the middle of the price range. I appreciate Justin not taking advantage of a one-time customer who was at the mercy of America's Tire. :) read more

Have bought from this company for years, They have consistently been the cheapest for me. However, their service has been terrible recently. I brought my snow tires in and found out they were recalled. I did not receive any notice of this until I had showed up and I spent a whole winter on recalled tires. They told me the new tires would arrive in 3 to 4 business days. They would not make a new appointment for me because they were too busy. I am still waiting two weeks out for the warranty tires. I've called the store multiple times. On the few occasions they do pick up the phone, i'm left on hold and no one answers the phone after checking how long 'in transit' means. Definitely would pay more to go to Les Schwab in the future; they have someone who answers the phone and I highly doubt I would receive this kind of service. read more

These guys at America's Tire Store , Bend, Or.( Discount Tire), are impressive to say the least..................... way way beyond! I bought a set of tires there today. As it turned out, the rims I had, used "spacers" in order for the wheels (off-set) to clear the calipers and they could not get enough "turns" on the lug-nuts to legally install the tires. I was stuck!! I brought some other old wheels to them, but there was a problem with them also. They said they wanted me to be a satisfied customer and leave their store with a safe install. Realizing that I was now in a bind, they installed new wheels on my car and sent me on my way with a smile on my face and no additional charge. They have me as a customer for life... I would never do tire business anywhere other than with them. And also, they DID beat all other tire prices that I had looked in to. I recommend that anyone looking for tire. try them...you will not be sorry. MIKE read more

I ordered tires as we were going into winter. The delay for tires for my Suburu was over a week which seemed odd but the price was okay late in the season. Then as the date arrived I called and they said they had 3 of the 4 tires. I called again 4 days after that and they still had 3 of the 4 tires but said they would call back that day with further info. No call back and the next day I called again, there was confusion on the other end of the line, but they said they would call back again. And yes, you guessed it, next day no call. Called again and they still didn't know when the tire would arrive. Some pushing and it seems like it will be another 2 days. Supposedly Good Year had a problem with the 4th tire and so I guess it took them another week to make and ship one. Yea right. This person said they would remove the installation charge and give me an appointment (jump me to the front of the line I guess?). Next day (not two days as stated) the second person I'd talked to called me back and said my tires were in. I went in the next day and the tires were installed with the installation charge removed. I would have given them a 1 but they did get the tires on my car about a week later than originally stated and after a bunch of phone calls. I guess that is worth a 2 out of 5?! read more

My tire warning light came on this morning for the TPMS system. I'd checked my tire pressure a few days ago so thought it might be something more serious. I stopped in here, they checked my tires, one was very low, they aired it up, reset the computer to clear the error code and I was on my way in about 10 minutes with no charge. I might have a slow leak in that tire and they suggested to just keep an eye on it. If I end up needing replacement winter tires I'll be buying them here. Got my summer ones here last year and got a great deal. Thanks for the great customer service. read more

I have been running Hankook Dynapro ATM tires on my Duramax for the last 200K miles and have been very happy with them, I called to get my fourth set and they no longer stock them but could order them and "upgraded" me to a slightly more expensive tire the Cooper Discoverer at the same price. I immediately noticed some vibration at 70MPH and took them back in for another balance and was told they were going to order me another Cooper as one of them was requiring in excess of 12 oz of weight, this was after I had been there quite a while as they tried to balance it. I balked at the offer and said actually I would prefer to get the tire I wanted in the first place before my "upgrade". While I expected resistance I was instead very pleased with a no problem we will get those ordered and give you a call when they come in. Still fearing trickery I said I am heading to Shasta tomorrow and after my return am immediately heading to Portland to do an install so you can expect a couple of thousand miles by the time you see me again. Another "no problem" and as promised they called and said your tires are in and they promptly installed them with no attitude nor fuss. Bravo to Discount Tire for making what I feared to be a protracted fight into a customer pleasing experience, they don't make the tires they just install and service them and I feel the service was top notch. read more

It was 5:00 and they close at 6:00 asked them when it would be finished they said not until the next day. Went over to America's Tire they did it for less and even though they close at 6:00 they had my car finished that night. Will definitely be coming back!! read more

I have bought 4 sets of tires here since it opened a few years ago, and what started out as great customer service and prices has declined with each experience. I picked up a nail in the set of expensive tires I purchased maybe 15000 miles ago, and took it in to get it repaired. The salesman told me the tire was bald and he could sell me a new set. I pointed out I bought them here and purchased the road hazzard and they only had 15k. He said no treadwear warranty because I swap them out for studded tires on seperate rims, WHICH THEY RECOMMENDED AND ALSO SOLD ME, and he could not verify mileage, so lets price a new set. I honestly feel scammed, and will be going back to Les Schwab, where they actually back-up what they sell! read more

I have to say I am blown away by the customer service at the Bend America's Tires. The front tires on my car were to the point where I was scared to drive very far in the rain (yes, they were really that bad!). I am a full time student and money is very tight, but I knew I couldn't wait any longer. I went into America's Tires and was completely honest with them on the amount I could afford, hoping It was enough to get the two front replaced. Brian listened patiently then walked out and looked at my tires. He agreed they were really really bad. My rear tires weren't great, but not dangerous. He asked my budget again and said he might be able to do something better, and he did. He found four matched tires that looked practically new that fit my 4 wheel drive and gave them to me for what I could afford. I know they must have lost money on this deal, but he did it anyway. The employees at the Bend America's Tires exemplify all the best things about living in Oregon. I have bought many tires from this company in the past when money was not an issue and always been happy. This time cemented me as a loyal customer for life. I've only been here once so far, but as far as I can tell they're pretty above-board. I needed to get all of my tires replaced and a family member had gotten Kumhos from them a while back and had been happy with the purchase, so I went ahead and ordered 4 from Discount Tire for my Ford Escape. It took a little while for them to get here because they had to order them from Atlanta, and I called a few times to check on the status. On the 6th day I called in and asked if they'd come in yet, and the guy I talked to said that they were supposed to arrive today and that the Fedex truck was just pulling in now, so I made an appointment for a few hours later to come have them installed. When I got there the guy I talked to said that they had not actually arrived on the truck and the updated tracking information had them coming in tomorrow. I was rather annoyed that I had not been called with this updated information since it takes me 30 minutes to drive there, but when I communicated that to them they offered to give me different, more expensive tires right now for the same price as the Kumhos. I drove out an hour later with Yamaha YK-580's, so overall I think they handled the snafu rather well and will probably use them again in the future. read more
