My son worked at Discount when he was in high school so I have always had fond memories and opinions of DT, I found the managers professional and the installers hard workers and eager to provide quality service. Until today. Not only was the entire contents of the back of my car tossed into the back seat on top of my dry cleaning and the center console rummage through and the contents laying on the seat, one of the managers after I noticed the caps on my tires were missing and replaced with stock caps accused me of taking them off, later to find them in the cup holder, again, accusing me of putting them there. What? No, I didn't but who caresI I just wanted them. I bought four new tires, no thanks, we appreciate your business , just unprofessionalism and sloppy service. I had a great experience here. I had a nail in my tire and came in to replace the one. Turns out my tire size is uncommon and I was unable to wait until the next day. They gave me a great deal on 4 new ones and only charged me for 3 on top of that. I had to replace two tires last year at a different spot and it cost about the same as a whole new set and they are insured. I came in towards the end of the day and they were still able to get me in and help me out. Could not recommend more their staff was great! read more

I just moved into the area and I needed a flat repair. I called the store at 10:00 am and was told that if I arrived in 15 minutes, it would take about an hour to do the repair. I arrived at 10:15 am and they set me up for the repair. The text they sent said it would be completed at 11:57 am so about 90 minutes (not great, but I was already there). After sitting there for 2+ hours, I asked for my key back at 12:20 pm when my vehicle still had 2 cars before it to pull in. Yes their flat repairs are free, but this store pulled in numerous customers' vehicles without appointments before my vehicle to replace the tires so just be aware of that. I'd rather be charged $25 for the repair and have it done when promised. The repair takes abut 30 minutes to complete so I was going to be there for 3 hours mininum after calling ahead and that's just nuts. read more

It's busy. This is the go-to spot for the area that can get specific tires shipped in for a same-day fix. But they are polite and get the job done. They were also the cheapest of the two shops in the area. It took 7 hours for my tire to be delivered to the shop and changed there. I was happy to get it fixed before the holiday weekend. Tonight I blew out my rear drives side tire while coming home from work. I have a service agreement with my finance company but its not worth a dang. I waited for an hour and a half and still nothing. I'm an amputee and it's hard to do something like change a tire. Nobody stopped to help. But then one of your employees stopped. Pros: Called with questions - all answered professionally with great attitude. Called back to purchase and schedule - they suggested day/time and got me right in. I was in/out in less than 60min. Worked on laptop in lobby. Three staff I encountered were friendly and wanted to make sure I was being helped. They matched price and explained the warranty differences and any potential impact. They checked tires and validated they needed to be replaced. Cons: Provide wipes for customers if they want to wipe the tables/counters - they weren't dirty per se however with flu season etc. would be a good option. I booked an appointment to have my tires rotated and balanced. My appointment was for 11am. I got there at 10:45. My truck didn't go into the bay until 12:00. I complained to the manager and he blamed it on corporate saying they open up the bookings too much. This is the second time for this to happen to me at this location. So if you ever want to book an appointment at this store, expect at least an hour delay before they start work. read more

Finally I called discount tire and they not only were able to take me in at 3:45 in the afternoon, but they also had a few options for me to purchase. I came in and the guy inspected my tires and then provided some analysis and feedback. He then showed me what my options were. Once I made a decision, they took my car in to replace the tires. I ended up purchasing a pair instead of just one since they had some promotion going on. They gave me an estimated wait time of 50 minutes but they finished earlier than that. And they never mentioned any issue when I ordered over the phone. just looking for info on true risk and if he had any recommendations on what size would be optimal. Buyers BEEARE!! We bought 4 new tires & scheduled an appointment to have the work completed. All seemed okay at first. The work was completed in an hour. I walked around the vehicle & everything seemed okay. I could tell the tires were all new. Upon arriving at home, my husband discovered they put 2 lesser quality tires on my vehicle... one of each side catercorner from each other. The placement seems to be intentional. Needless to say my husband was furious. What kind of business are they running!! Obviously, they have no quality checks in place. Want to do a huge shoutout to the Discount Tire in Bee Cave today. Walked out of my office today and noticed I had a flat. I used the compressor that came with the car to fill up the tire and as I was driving I noticed the pressure going down. I stopped at the store in Bee Cave in my way home. It was 5:58pm when I walked in the door and they close at six. Most places when you are that close to closing time won't take you. It only did they fix the flat but they did not charge me for it. My family has used Discount Tire for as long as I remember. We've recommended them over and over again. The service has always been good. However the last few months they seem to be very salesy. Yes I know they are a for profit business and I realize they sell tires, but the pushy fear tactics they've been using is having us think about taking our business and referrals elsewhere. My husband is a mechanic so he knows when someone is being realistic about tire issues and when they are pushing to get a sale. Sad that so many others who don't know are likely getting the squeeze and buying more than they need. Bee Cave, Four Corners, and online have all been this way so it must be a sales quota mandate.
