Two different female customers used this service while I was waiting. Yes, I fully expect to continue getting my tire stuff needs at this Discount Tire location. Cool extra - we were in Chicago, had a tire problem, and the local Discount Tire location fixed the tire and got us out with no problem and no charge. read more

I didn't want to leave a public review, but I don't see any survey to leave feedback. There was a guy creeping on women in the parking lot, he said some things to me that made me uncomfortable. Seemed harmless, but when I was inside picking up my keys, I noticed he was still lingering around my car. So I went ahead and told the employee at the desk, hoping he would go offer the man a seat inside, or even just offer to walk me to my car. The employee nonchalantly replied "oh, no he's supposed to be out there, we're working on his car." Didn't really know what to say to that, so I just said okay and left. And of course the guy in the lot continued to be weird to me on my walk to my car. In terms of service-- I had a flat replaced. The employees were not very attentive, rushing, didn't notice I had four nails in a different tire, and I left with my new tires and 2 others having low air pressure with no explanation of why. Anyways, I went to Discount Tire on IH-35 the next day (after I noticed the other nails) and they were 10x better. Didn't need a patch since they hadn't punctured, they pulled them out and refilled all my tires in less than 20 minutes. Edit: Thank you for your response! Got a nail in my tire on the way to work, but I get to work at 5:30 AM. I dropped off my truck around 11 AM, and they said it'd be ready by 2 PM. I arrived at 2 PM but they said it'd be closer to 3 PM. I was a walk-in and the tire repair is free and they were slammed so I can't complain. So why minus One Star ?? I'm glad you asked. My only complaint is the tire they repaired was over inflated by five pounds, and my other three tires needed about three more pounds, but they didn't touch em. So on my way home, I stopped at the Discount location in Cedar Park and they adjusted the air pressure in all four of my tires. read more

I made an appointment for a tire rotation, balance, and tire check because I thought I had a slow leak in one of my tires last week. It was easy to make the appointment online, however, they didn't see my selections for service so didn't know why I was coming in. Angel checked me in and said they would take care of everything. He also asked if I needed to replace my wipers and I didn't know. Luckily since I bought my last set of wipers and tires at Discount Tire, they had information on my purchases. There was no cost for the rotation and balance since I bought my tires there, which was great! They noted I had last changed my wipers 2.5 years ago and they are supposed to be changed every 6 to 12 months, so they added that to my service at a reasonable price per wiper for my Honda CRV. They did determine there was a nail in the tire I thought had a slow leak so they patched it for free. I waited in their waiting area and walked around a bit outside for my car. Angel said it would take about an hour since I had an appointment. They gave me an update midway and it was ready in a bit over an hour. When it was ready, Jacob came over to hand me the keys and told me he personally patched/fixed the tire that had the nail. They people who work there are very nice and I feel like they are generally honest, which is why I choose to use Discount Tire and tell my kids and other friends to go there too! read more

I've come here a few times before. What you should know: 0. This location is at the corner of Burnet and Braker, with the entrance on Braker. Whenever I've driven in or exited, I've always noticed a fair amount of debris around and at the entrance. Be careful lest you obtain a new tire puncture. 1. You have two options: walk-in or make an appointment. Note that the store prioritizes appointments over walk-ins. For appointments, they will provide a time frame for completion, e.g. one hour. 2. Services: This location does not perform alignments. They provide other tire and wheel services though. They have a free drive-up air check near the entrance (hop in line and I suppose they'll adjust your tire pressure--though why do it with warm tires, I'm unsure). They can identify where your tire leaks are coming from. They've dunked my wheels in water plenty of times to identify small, pesky leaks. They can repair your punctured tire for free as long as it meets certain criteria--namely based on the position and size of the puncture. They do not offer rim repair services. Instead, they will attempt to sell you new rims. That said, they do offer standard mount, unmount, and balance services. (Note, if you do need a rim repair, most businesses in the area contract out to Wheel Technologies in DFW, but they won't tell you that. Wheel Technologies does maintain a small satellite office location in an Austin office park.) 3. When you arrive, a red shirt sales person will greet you. They'll get your mileage and walk out to measure your tread, and get your vehicle info. I've found, however, that Discount Tire's system does not contain all makes and models. They'll give you an estimate of time for the work. Afterwards, you'll be handed off to a black shirt--the one who is performing the work. If a purchase must be made, you'll interface with a red shirt who will quote you a price and time estimates. This process is very transparent, you can see exactly what they are seeing on their screen. 4. Discount Tire acquired Tire Rack back in 2021, so expect some level of synergy in terms of tire installation locations when shopping for tires on Tire Rack. Discount Tire won't outright state this though. 5. I've never purchased tires or rims from Discount Tire--they usually don't have the required tire in stock at a reasonable price, and their website is annoying to use. I end up comparing prices and availability between Tire Rack, NTB, Discount Tire, and Costco. Tire Rack has always won out, plus you get the road hazard protection included. 6. One annoyance I have with this location is that they seem to lose valve caps all the time. My valve caps are silver-grey-colored, yet they always replace them with an ugly black-colored one or none at all. It's a sloppy, yet noticeable detail on their part. 7. Bathrooms are located in the back of the store. 8. Cushy red chairs and a Wi-Fi hotspot are available. I do work while waiting. read more

It was professional, friendly, timely, and high quality. I was only there for a rotate and rebalance for my Tesla (which they did for free). Price is very competitive but service is hit or miss. If you ask for one of your removed tires to be kept as a spare be sure and check your trunk before you drive away. They threw my pretty good Bridgestone away, though they did later give me a new Sentury tire? Also ask for manufacturer warranty card, they don't offer them. read more

Get your tires here because, on a day like today, they replace your tire for free. My tire was almost flat. I drove straight here. The staff is so helpful and charming. The service was so fast. In the brief half hour I waited, I got tea at Starbucks and a sandwich at Jimmy John's across the street. They gave me a new matching tire and balanced everything for free! I didn't even have to present my paperwork. They took a reading on my tire and found me in their computer system. What a great customer service experience! Thank you! I came in because I had a single flat tire which I wanted to replace. Mind you I had my tires replaced fairly recently so it must have been from hitting a nail or something on the road. Simple you would think... Well I after telling the sale rep I only needed the single tire replacement he spent 30 minutes trying to upsell me on new wheels and other tires that needed to be replaced. Annoying but expected. When I came to pick up my car I was SHOCKED to find they had replaced the WRONG TIRE despite one clearly being flat. Not sure how any tire "expert" could make that mistake. My rear passenger tire kept losing air so I made detour to the nearest Discount Tire. Every location has a dedicated tire-check line outside where you can stay in your car and they'll check your tire pressure and fill them up. No appointment needed. I explained my situation to them and they were kind enough to inspect my problem tire. They quoted me about a 45 minute wait. I handed over my keys and my car was promptly lifted up on the jack. In the time it took me to watch an Instagram reel, my car was back on the ground and ready to go. A nail was stuck in the tire but they were able to patch it up! This place is great! My tires were showing low air the day before and unfortunately I went to one of those automated tire fillers (Exxon at Lamar and Parmer). What a mistake- the numbers kept bouncing all over the place with an occasional error message before I gave up with a reading if 10! First thing, Steven did was to check the conditions of the tire and the treads. Then he ran a check to determine if there was an issue with the sensors. It was time to replace my car's tires as it was over 5 years and I opted to go with Discount Tires instead of Costco. I went online and entered my car's make, model, and year and was presented with a screen of different driving profiles, and was given a suggestion of tires that would fit my needs. I googled different reviews and watched a few videos on the performance of these tires as well. The selected tires were in stock and I booked my appointment the next day. Appointment day was filled with trepidation but I was glad about my choice to replace my tires as it was a windy day and my car was vibrating more than normal. I didn't realize that you could check in for the appointment about 15-30 minutes earlier but I made it to this location with 5 minutes to spare. This discount tire is in a prime location right by the Q2 stadium and near the domain. The entrance is on Braker lane. They were busy so I parked where there was a sign for additional parking. Once inside, there was a short wait and an agent sees you check you into the appointment, and also walks out to the car to make sure the tires would work with the vehicle. I was quoted that the work would complete in a little under an hour. Perfect since I wanted to get some lunch while waiting. I came back about 10 minutes before the quoted time and I was told it would be done in 5 minutes. I was very satisfied with the service as it was quick and painless. read more

They completely lied to me and told me it would take an 45M-1Hr but instead I was lied to and it made me an Hour late to work. I took my car to Discount Tire on Tuesday September 12 to have my tire sensors checked and when I got my car back the entire front bumper of my car was on the ground. The two sensors that needed to be replaced were in the back two tires. I have no idea what was done to the front bumper of my vehicle. My TPMS light came on Monday, September 11th - which I thought was odd because I replaced all 4 tire sensors in February 2023. I set an appointment for 12:30 and I got there at 12:15 am- I was sent to the air check line - when the air pressure in my tires was checked. The tire pressure was fine because the issue was with the tire sensors in the two back tires. By the time I waited and had the tire pressure in my 4 tires checked it was 1:05 pm. I was told that it would take an hour and a half to replace the sensors. The sensors were replaced because they were still under warranty. Then I waited for my car to be fixed -and no one ever came in and notified me that my car was ready. At 3:10 pm I finally went to ask about my car- and I was told that it had been ready and was waiting in the parking lot. I went into the parking lot and found the front on my bumper - which was fine when I got there- on the ground in front of my vehicle. There was nothing wrong with my bumper when I got there. I was so angry at this point that I decided that it would be best for them if I just popped my bumper back into place and put the bumper foam into my back seat. I didn't even think to take photos before putting the bumper back in place. I have gone to Discount Tire on 2623 West Braker Lane for over 10 years and I have not had any issues with them. Until late 2022 and this year 2023. This is the first time my car was damaged and the first time I was not notified that my car was ready to go. read more

I swing by and spoke to associate and they were very immediate to response and quickly scanned each of my tires and quick run through of the report. If I remember right, it was Mr. Jose who was helping me with ordering tire I needed. They were very professional, neat and kind person. I came in next day to change my tires and it was quick in and out - may be 30 mins maximum depending on crowd. I went in at less crowded time. This place continues to exceed my expectations. I went in this week with a tire that was leaking a LOT of air. And not through a hole in the tire -- it was a cracked valve-stem. I showed up at opening (8:00 a.m.) without an appointment. It wouldn't have surprised me if they told me I needed a new tire. It wouldn't have surprised me if they'd told me to leave my truck and they'd try to have it ready by the end of the day. Instead they had me on the road in thirteen minutes. And just as a bonus: everyone who works there is just as friendly and accommodating as can be. I just love this place. read more

Needed a tire fixed. The staff were helpful although the service took longer than quoted. However they REALLY need to stop parking customer cars in the accessible parking spots. Those spaces are not a convenience and should never be used by anyone who does not legitimately require them. Derek and Roy went above and beyond yesterday helping me with what I thought was just going to be a tire inspection/fill with air. On top of it being a 5:15pm appointment and with the wait time not allowing them to get to my car until 6pm, they were exceptional. It has already been a stressful week and then finding out you need two more tires really was just the icing to kick it off. Roy and Derek both were calm, answered all my questions, and essentially handled my breakdown I had finding out that my tires were messed up after purchasing them less than a year ago.  They both had smiles and stayed cool the whole time and then worked as fast as they could to get my car setup and ready to drive away. They were again exceptional employees and based off people I have interacted with regarding tires/tire sales before - they made that experience one of the best I've had. read more

Outstanding customer service! I had a flat repair that didn't properly take and had to come back to get it fixed. Omar went out of his way to make sure the problem was fixed quickly and properly. He expressed genuine apologies for the issue and for the "additional time and hassle" and even offered to compensate for that in any way he could. While I was initially frustrated with the repair not working, Omar and the staff of this location redeemed my faith in actual "customer service"--in which I felt heard, seen, and genuinely appreciated as a customer. Not to mention the "lost time" was minimal due to their quick service. Excellent job all around. This level of service and acknowledgement of errors (and how they are addressed) is where so many businesses lose or keep customers. I thought I had already reviewed this place positively for their efficient operation, generous warranty &c. I've definitely used them to full satisfaction in the past. But now under Covid these guys really have their act together. You can make appointments online, check in with QR code, they allow you to roll your car into the bay and out again, you don't have to go into the waiting room for paperwork, and there are chairs outside. All their mechanics seem to wear face masks pretty much all the time. It's all perfect for a socially distanced operation. Can I give 6 stars? read more

Came during Covid, felt relatively safe but there was several times where I was within 6 ft of a masked employee. Masks seem required inside, although I saw one employee who didnt have his nose covered. It wasnt especially busy (I got here around 10 on a Saturday morning), and the customers mostly sat outside at least 6 ft apart. Manny helped me and was kind and friendly, which made me feel at ease. I drove up to check-in by rolling my window down and talking to someone, who directed me to park in a spot. Manny talked to me and looked at the tire, then I was able to wait in my car. Someone came out and asked me to drive into the bay, then Manny told me what was going on and we walked inside. There are plastic barriers between the employee and customer which is good. Unfortunately, the work stations are set up to where as a customer, I had to stand directly next to an employee at the next work station (see pic). This made me uncomfortable. During normal times you would walk around and look at the same screen, but now they have a separate computer screen showing through the plastic. Overall, I would definitely come here again because everyone was friendly, but I hope they continue to improve their Covid practices. read more
