Schomp Subaru had told me that I needed an alignment when I was in for regular service. I decided to shop for price. Schomp had quoted $149. After a few weeks, Schomp sent me an email offering $40 off. Discount's price was $89 I was met in the parking lot. The service person took care of checking me in. In short a time, the mechanic came out showed me the results of the test which showed that I did not need an alignment. Five gold stars for Discount Tires They are honest and trustworthy. I could have died because of their incompetence. I recently had them install new tires and air sensors and had the alignment done. They didn't tighten the tie rod nut when they did the alignment so the nut came loose and my front passenger tire completely disconnected from the steering wheel. The tire went completely sideways the car skidded to a stop in the middle of the road. Luckily I was going slow on a gravel road. If this had happened on the highway the car would have likely rolled. I had the car towed to the nearest garage and had the nut tightened properly. That mechanic made it very clear that should have never happened and was clearly the fault of whoever did the alignment last. A separate mechanic also confirmed this. They simply didn't tighten the nut down all the way. I contacted them about it when I got back to town. Rather than discuss it with me directly they immediately transferred me to an out of state call center to file a claim. 2 weeks later they denied my claim stating I had insufficient evidence. I sent them copies of the receipts including a note from the mechanic who fixed their work stating that the nut was clearly not tightened properly. I even sent them pictures of the car being towed. What more do you need? Beware you're quite literally putting your life in their incompetent hands by going here. And if you come out unscathed they won't take accountability for their actions. read more

Had 2 tires replaced this past week and after leaving the car wash yesterday noticed that my 2 rims they worked on have scratches ALL over them somehow from the lug nuts being removed and reinstalled. I clean my truck frequently and always clean the wheels good. These are all new scratches and were not here prior to my last visit. While this place is hard to beat on price and convenience they do not care about quality of work. Super pissed about my rims will not be using or suggesting this location to anyone!!! read more

Whoever I talked to on the phone sucks at their job, I stated I had aftermarket suspension items and asked if they fix my CAMBER and TOE... I was told yes and I brought my car in the next day. When I went to drop it off I told them the same thing and they said they could get it done... 2 hours later I get a phone call saying they could not do my alignment :/ I go and pick up my car and I'm on my way to a different shop and I notice my car is bumpy as hell and my TPMs light is on... I thought nothing of it as they also just put on a new set of tires... I tell the new shop and they check my tire pressure and all 4 of my tires are at 55psi the max rating for them is ONLY 50psi and my pressure is supposed to be at 33psi would not recommend... they also got holes in the windows at their shop fyi read more

Bought tires here a few years ago and have been back to the same location on Havana a few times. Once because they reminded me it was time to rotate tires, once to have them check the pressure (didn't even get out of the car), and most recently I found a big screw in my tire. With the screw I called to make an appointment, but Dave said they take walk-in's. Arrived, got checked in was told the repair would be free but I could expect a 90 min wait. No big deal for a free repair! About 25 mins later a smiling young man Ishmael(?) was already finished. He made the repair and aired up all my tires! Bought really expensive winter tires, told I can swap out my summer tires each year, at no cost, but was told I cannot swap two of my tires because of "risk" but they are brand new tires! And he had the audacity to sell me tires! This company is a bunch of scammers! Cancelling their credit card which I used the other day to buy tires for one of my other Mercedes! And guess what? The tire shop right next to it and they had no problem swapping them out and if they were concern about "risk" they should had swap the winter tires I had cause those were in a bad shape, but the DT guy didnt even bother. Super fast when you schedule an appointment and super friendly service. I called to order in tires for my type of vehicle. The person on the phone Trevor, was very helpful and answered all my questions regarding the car tires and warranties. As soon as the tires I ordered arrived they called me to confirm my appointment. If this location or a location you visit does not have your tires it usually only takes one to two business days for the store to bring them in. Then I went in at 1 PM on a Monday and picked up my car at 2:30 PM. However the car was actually done at 1:45 PM, but I walked nearby to enjoy lunch. This was the first time I got new tires and literally waited under an hour to have them installed. It's also great because you pay in advance before the service so when you pick it up they just hand you your keys and you were on your way. It was so convenient and easy. As soon as I was ready to pull up, an employee tells me they are closing the tire pressure checking station, as they have a delivery coming. I asked if he could check the pressure, as it only takes 2 or 3 minutes. He said no. Due to the busy traffic on Havana, it took me over 5 minutes to be able to leave. I hit a pothole this spring and destroyed my tire. Took it to discount & got a new tire, but my car was still making noises that didn't sound right. Took it back for them to look at several times throughout the summer. They told me I needed a whole new wheel. Got that done and it was still making noise. On about the 6th visit, a manager FINALLY had the sense to take the car and drive it so he could hear the noise. Turns out it was a broken strut I had to get fixed at the dealership. I am now back at the dealership 8 months later getting a sensor for the tire they worked on, as they didn't put one on when they installed my new wheel. So much time (this has been an 8 month saga) and money wasted because of crappy, half-assed service from this place. I'll be steering clear of any Discount Tire from now on. read more

Avoid at all costs. For some strange reason, they don't do tire alignments. And forget about any help if you have a low tire that needs air- they will request you get an appointment. They will talk you into the most expensive tires, because alas, they have nothing in stock. Ever. Lack of integrity. I went to discount tires to have a tire patched up that I bought from a different company. Front desk looked at the side of the tire with me and checked it in. THE CAR DID NOT MOVE. 15 minutes later was called to the front with them stating that there was a nail in the side wall and need a new tire. I'm still looking at my vehicle that had not moved. Declined getting a new tire. Went to the dealership where I bought the tire, who actually remove the dryer and stated there was a nail in the tread. Tire patched without a concern. Another great customer experience from Greg F. Our SUV caught a screw on one of the tires Greg explained because it was on the sidewall so it can not be patched. If the hole was from middle of the tire Discount usually patches it up for free (picture attached). I believe in the integrity of this company because they've patched tires for me previously free of charge. I also like that even out of state in CA (called Americas Tire) they can pull up my profile and knows exactly what vehicles and tires I currently own. I purchased 2 new tires and I highly recommend the 3 year Road hazard warranty, the cost is about $15 per tire and they will repair or replace the tire at any of their locations nationwide. Tony proceeds to tell me "...the closest (identical) tire is in Pueblo and (with the upcoming storm) won't be here till Monday." I'm cool with that. I asked for his card and instead he prints my receipt (??) with his name and number on it and says he will call me "immediately when it comes in". Until then, he says I will need to keep up on the tire and refill it with air as needed until my tire comes in. Cool, right. Easy. Now it's Tuesday (03/16). No call, no nothing. Storm passed, refilled the tire at home and at the gas station and no call yet. So I call them. Now, the AM says, " Well, Tony transferred to another store and text the manager on Friday telling him the tire was not in Pueblo. The AM that Tony text, supposedly ordered the tire from Nebraska and never contacted me to tell me the tire won't be here for another week (03/22)!!! Firstly, Tony shouldn't of left that task on the Assistant Manager and should've followed through with ordering the tire and contacting me. Second, The Assistant Manager, should've contacted me as soon as he knew the tire was going to be delayed and let me know "Out apologies, we fucked up. Your tire won't be here until Monday (a week and a half after I initially came in)! Now I'm here getting a "loaner" tire placed on my car until the tire gets in. My discrepancies are: Communicate with your people and keep them in the loop so we don't feel ignored and annoyed with having to refil a tire while waiting for a replacement. If I would've known it would take a week and a half to get the new tire in, I would opted for a loaner to begin with. I will have to say that out of all of the Discounts that I've been to, the parking lot at this place is an absolute shit show. Minus 1 star for a parking situation that is absolutely one of the worst thing that I've encountered next to a mall at Christmas season. At least they acknowledge it. When it's bad, they have a person standing at the end of the lot manning a set of road cones to prevent people from even trying to pull into the lot. Just park nearby and walk over if your legs aren't broken. They'll get to you when they can get to you. The staff here is pretty damned good though. They really go out of their way to help you, to get you what you need, and to get you back if something goes wrong. They have beat my time estimates every time I've been here. Fair warning, the line here is regularly out of the door. Be patient. It's worth it for your level of service. Don't forget, you can always make an appointment too. Don't be upset if you walk in during a snow storm with the other 150 people who had the same idea and you stand in line for 45 minutes because of it. That's not their fault.
