Yesterday my tire went fully flat and after getting air back in I noticed a screw right in the middle of the tire. Panicked because I had a busy day the next day, but came on yelp and booked an appointment. Drove in this morning and they were slammed, but were kind and gave me a timeline on when the tire could be fixed. Exactly on time Luis came out saying he patched the tire and everything was good to go. I was worried there might have been a cost for this or they would need to get me a new tire. Very disappointing experience. I came in for a simple tire rotation, and my wheels ended up damaged. On top of that, my Tesla wheel covers were put on incorrectly and ended up falling off--something that should've been done right the first time. What's worse is the lack of accountability. The manager, Sam, never followed up, even after I went back to the store and left my contact information. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was unprofessional. After I returned to my seat 45 minutes passed by and my car was still out there, I asked again if it was finished and was told yes and they "forgot to notify me". Jesse is amazing - he worked with me to find the right sized tires for my Jeep after we put a lift on it. He was incredibly knowledgeable helping me make the right decision on the new tire size based on height/width, road comfort, gas mileage and off road capability (we pull an OGT with our Jeep for camping). They had three KO2's in stock so Jesse ordered two more to include the spare as well. He kept me posted on updates even as they were having computer problems. We received an email that our order had arrived and the next day we took the Jeep to have the tires installed. From my husband (he took the Jeep in today to have the tires installed since I was working): He couldn't believe how busy the store was and was impressed with how fast and efficient the staff was working, from the in store staff to especially the guys in the garage on this cold/snowy day. Been to multiple Discount Tire locations... this one is the worst. It's also the easiest to get into (wonder why...). I have twice stopped in here within the last two years to have my Discount Tire-sold tires serviced/replaced/plugged... you name it. Each time... I get some level of BS about my tires and how I have to buy all new tires... EVERY time. I say no... and then go to a different Discount Tire location and they service my tires correctly no questions asked. They once told me I needed all new tires (AWD-vehicle) when all I needed was a single tire to be reseated. Only reason I came back was because my wife's car needed a quick fix... which we got elsewhere for 1/10th the price of the new tires they were trying to push. You guys should be ashamed. read more

In my last three visits (for two vehicles): 1. One of the directional winter tires was installed backwards. Had I myself not noticed this I could have been driving in dangerous conditions for an extended period of time. 2. We noticed fresh paint chips on the car door the day after getting winter tires installed on a 10 day old vehicle. 3. When we had the winter tires swapped off, the technician broke one of the wheel covers. 4. The vehicle was returned not only without the OEM valve stem caps but with no stem caps at all. When we inquired about these they installed generic stems caps. I've been using this shop for several years. I'm not sure what's happened in the last 6 months but this is unacceptable, particularly the dangerous condition in situation #1. read more

This location is really professional, efficient and great. Chensen helped me this morning and all went very smoothly. There was very little wait, he was super customer oriented. Checked my tires, heard my issues, listened, came up with some options to try in my price point. No pressure or upselling, just very kind, courteous and thoughtful information to get my car back in the road. He even greeted people as they were walking in. Helped other customers in line and even knew who was here for a pick up. Not sure if he's manager but he should be. Everyone here was super friendly and quick at helping customers. Very refreshing to patron business that care about high levels of customer service. 11am on a Friday there seems to be an average about 90 min wait, for a walk in. The are doing a lot of cars today. About 4-5 people in lobby waiting but the turnaround time seems accurate and tight. The check in process for me took about 15 min, because I had to apply for a new credit card, but would probably be 10min or less. Allow up to 2 hours of you're a weekday Friday morning walk in. read more

I usually LOVE discount tire. I have spent 1000's on tires at discount tire. I have just never been to this location. I chose discount ,because ,supposedly , if you buy your tires here... They will repair (plug) your tire if you roll over a nail, and they will rotate for free. Supposedly. (Big fat Eyeroll) .!So I bought tires for my exterra awhile back. I got the top of the line, stupid big , 4x4 , enough tread to trek the side of a mountain tread. I'm talking about $1400 for all four. The sales person asked me "do you want the insurance?" For an extra $75 per tire , Im like, ummm NO. If these tires are as great as they are supposed to be and you guys will repair them for free, why would I need insurance. Low and behold a week later I had a blowout and of course it was a blowout that they can't fix,, so another $400 later and I insured all my tires. Of course after that nothing went wrong. Right? I'm trying to point out that tires are important and when I spend the money, since I was 16. I go to discount. After today , I may never go again. The more research I did, the more I've done to find that any tire place will repair little holes or plug a tire. Because they want your business. Today I went to discount tire, with a different vehicle but the same tires. I had wrecked my exTerra but the tires where only 2 months old. So I put em on my new used vehicle. Because they were new. Anyway. Tire had gotten a screw in it. I have a kid, who lives with a single mom. Who doesn't really look after him, so he gets bored and plays with crap in the parking lot. Like 9 year olds do. Anything sharp or cool looking, he piles in the parking lot. Idk why. I ran it over. 2 actually, in two different tires. I plugged the first one myself. in 100 degree heat, it wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. So I went to discount to cash in my free minor repair. I tried to call for an appt. However, the person kept hitting the hold button, so it kept taking me to the freaking recording. Over and over and over. So, whatever. I figure they are so busy they can't answer. I'll drive up there , because walk ins are welcome. One guest. They had ONE guy there and one car they were working on actively. 4 bays only one being used. One guy, reading one magazine and no one else. So why the hell they can't answer a phone , beyond me. So I go in. The workers are up front, but didn't acknowledge me. Looked at me, just didn't acknowledge my presence. Like a hey there, or a " one second please" ... I explained that I had a screw in one tire and a slow leak from where I patched the other one. Asked if they had time to get me in for some plugs and maybe a rotation. He looked at my truck, and claimed the screw was in the side wall. That isn't even possible. If I go out to my car, I know where the screw is. Count from outside in, it's 4 treads in. Which means it's not the side wall if there is tread surrounding it. Next he said he can't rotate them because the front one was going bald. Well duh, it's been low, due to a fucking screw in it!! So this guarantee they offer, is (in my opinion) total bullshit. I'm so majorly diss appointed that all the freaking money I have spent here, and I got totally dismissed. I don't expect a trophy , or even a freaking cookie. But an ounce of courtesy and acknowledgement would go a long way. Clearly that was too too much for this very "not busy at the moment" location on Colfax. I will clearly be buying some tires for my truck, it will not be here. They got the stars they got for who they used to be. Because NOT all the locations are this high and mighty, that they don't seem to need customers enough to acknowledge people with a head nod or a wave or a "hi how may I help you". I am surprised I didn't write a review last time I went here to put tires on both my and my wife's car. Excellent service about three years ago. This time, I got a bolt in one of the tires of my new car. Unfortunately, I drove it flat for about a 1/4 mile, and killed the tire. Took it to a competitor who said it was too far gone to patch, and that I'd need four brand new tires because it is an AWD to the tune of $1200 bucks. I had them slap the spare on and took it Discount Tire instead. Discount took a look at the tires that were on there, and said basically that there was plenty of tread on the back tires, so simply matched the tires for two new front ones, and out the door for around $550. Fast, competitively priced (better than anywhere else I researched), and very professional. This location has been very busy, so I would highly recommend calling ahead to get an appointment to bring in your vehicle. With three successful trips to this business, I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else (assuming it's in the area). Took my car there for new tires. I purchased all 4 based on their recommendations. My hub caps fell off the next day. My tps sensor showed false message of a flat. Even tough my receipt showed i paid for it. Going back 100 miles round-trip. They casually said oh we forgot about the tps. They tried to avoid hub cap replacement. With persistence they finally agreed to replace. I noticed my car was more shaky with the new tires. Come to find out the put 175 instead of factory 185 tires on. Left and quickly had more tps sensor problems. Had to drive another 100 mile round trip and gave excuses about the lack of sensor reliability is normal and that they had new techs. Not easy to gain resolution. I had to involve corporate to get replacements. Did not appreciate the manager making a promise in the parking lot about a future free tire. Then, tried to embarass me inside infront of other customers when placing my order and mentioning his free tire offer by exclaiming "What you just want somthing for free"​ read more

I went in on 3/28 to get my tires rotated. Who I believe was the manager, wish I had gotten their name, checked out all my tires and proceed to state how busy they were before putting me on the list. Not that I have had bad experiences with discount tire, but they went out of their way to make sure I knew it would be a while and hinted that I could reschedule my needed maintenance. It was going to at least be a 2 hr wait, but seeing as I had nothing better to do, I did not mind. Not only did they get the job done in less than an hour, but who I believed to be the worked who rotated my tires apologized for the delay...AND THAT THEY WERE THE ONLY ONE WORKING THE FLOOR THAT DAY! Everyone I spoke with was very polite and apologetic, for no reason, and did great work. Will be returning for any future tire issues/ rotations. read more

After asking me whether or not I had seen anything in the tire and me responding no, the guy helping me proceeded to ask the male with me the exact same question. After a 75 minute wait, they proceeded to tell me *incorrectly* that there was nothing wrong with the tire and I just needed to pump it up more. Overall I was happy with my experience while at this location. The staff were masked up, the seating was set up for social distancing in the waiting room, and the service reps explained everything that they would do clearly. I set up my appointment and selected my tires from the website, which was very easy. It was only after leaving and having returned home did I realize that one of the service techs had damaged my car. I had swapped in a full-size spare for a very flat tire before driving to my appointment in January. I asked that after replacing all four tires that they put the spare back into the trunk of my 1997 Toyota Camry. It was only much later did I discover that a someone had man-handled the spare into the trunk. They had snapped in half the wooden cover over the spare storage space, had left the tire iron loose (instead of fitting it onto the latch on the wooden cover), and hadn't properly locked the spare down with the plastic nut. (I had just taken out the spare, so I knew what shape my spare storage area was in--which was excellent. Someone also had to take the old flat tire from the trunk in order to return the spare back into its space, so it's not as if that same individual couldn't have been the one to put the spare back without destroying anything.) I didn't have any issues with the service for the tire change. The tires seem good. But whoever dealt with the spare worked too fast and damaged my car, and didn't tell anyone about it. Granted that this damage is not visible, since it's hidden in the trunk, but it's still very disappointing. read more

The staff at this location have always been kind and honest about what was needed. They've thankfully been able to patch but we've also bought a whole set of tires here too on one of our previous vehicles and way cheaper than the dealership. They were busy that day but said could get us in next morning at 8am. The next morning only had to wait 15 minutes and then they started working to take care of our tires. I knew they fixed flat tires for free, but always just assumed it was on tires bought from them. Since I was 16 with my first car, DTC is where I bought tires. My current car I bought used from a dealership, and they had put new tires on it. Got the first flat tire in 10 years last weekend and looked for the closest DTC. Figured it would cost $50, but inflation and service fees and all the repair shop congestion currently going on... was thinking maybe up to a $100 all in. That seems like a lot, but a pizza costs $30 these days and a fast food burger meal goes for $10. It's been 10 years since my last flat tire; didn't know what to expect... I can tell you what I DIDN'T expect. They call out my name, the rep tells me what they did... fixed the flat, balanced the tire, mounted it, checked the spare for any damage, and evened out the air pressure on all the tires. I was like, cool, that's really great, how much do I owe you? It's all free, the rep tells me. THAT price I was not expecting. Tires are tires are tires, you can buy them anywhere. Service is what it is, sometimes really good and sometimes less so... it's going to be the same anywhere. Catch a good business at the right time, and service will be great; catch the same business at the wrong time, and it will be less so. That's just the way of the service industry. I work in the service industry, so I never judge too harshly. And I have no reason to judge DTC... I was in and out in less than an hour and they were busy. Made an appointment for 12:30 and was driving home by 1:30. All three reps I spoke to were professional and friendly. While I was waiting by my car for a bay to open, I overheard a rep talking to another customer and he was explaining to her all the things she didn't know about her tires, and he knew her vehicle's tire size without having to look it up. I was impressed. If you are thinking about DTC for any of your tire needs, I would make a suggestion... It's the same suggestion I would make for any service these days... make a reservation! Set an appointment; plan for them being busy, because they probably will be. DTC makes it easy. Go to their website, choose the location, and click the appointment tab. How far out the nearest appointment is will tell you how busy they are. If that's too far out, check the next location. The nearest DTC to me needed a 3 day wait; I checked a different location and got an appointment the next day. While I was waiting in the store, there was a line of people out the door being told the next opening was a day or even two away... Make an appointment; be happy.
