Didn't balance my tires. Felt like I was diving over boulders! Had to pay $65 someplace else to get them balanced!

I called on Friday morning to see if they had my tire in stock. A basic Goodyear 20". They did not, but they would get it in by the end of the day and call me. They did not. I called Saturday morning and asked if it had arrived, after ten minutes on hold, they said it had. I booked an appointment to install at 12:45 and show up at 12:45 to check in. 15 minutes later I look on my app and still does not show me as arrived and in the queue. I go ask and he says he's just about to do so. At 1:45, my car is ready. One hour to install one tire with and with an appointment. They never showed me a price or had me approve anything and it was $471 for one tire. Why do you have an appointment system if it does not do anything at all and charging $471 for one basic Goodyear tire is insane. read more

II really like the staff at this location. In the last two weeks, I purchased new tires for my daughters car, and my wife's car. I came in Friday afternoon, January 7th, and the location was a bit busy. The gentleman that helped me, showed me my choices, and recommend that I schedule an appointment for Saturday. Great advise. I set an appointment for 9:45am, and I was told that it would take about 45 minutes, so my son took me home while we waited. I love the text feature that Discount Tire offers, and I received 3 texts, and the last text I received, was 20 minutes after I left. AWESOME! It worked for us as we live pretty close by and I love over delivering, and every time I have visited this location, or another Discount Tire, the service has been great. I bought expensive Michelin tires here because I was told I would be worry free for about 45,000 miles. I followed every recommendation including rotations, balancing, and regular air checks. After only 15,000 miles they told me the tires needed replacing for a "mechanical issue" they never mentioned during any of my previous visits. I paid for new tires and also gave them my TPMS sensors. They charged me extra to install the sensors and did it incorrectly, leaving the TPMS light on and telling me to go to the dealership instead of fixing their mistake. The manager was rude and offered no solution or refund. Do not trust their promises. I left feeling misled and out hundreds of dollars. read more

Discount tire has always treated me well in Fort Worth. I was in Arlington getting tires and it was around 4 in the afternoon. I had an appointment for me to get these new tires on at a Fort Worth location this Friday. I figured I would call this location because it was the closest to where I was at, fully thinking they would be booked for the day. Well they told me to come on in, it would be about a 45 minute wait. From talking to the employee on the phone, to checking in at the front desk, to talking to one of the dudes in the garage while he was putting on my spare tire, it was phenomenal customer service. I asked the gentleman I was checking in with when I got there how he likes working for Discount Tire and he said he loves it. He said Discount Tire treats them very well. Something else that surprised me was how young all the employees looked! I would say early 20s-early 30's. And everyone genuinely looked happy. Gives me hope for the next generation! Worst place ever. They lied about my wheel being bent and purposely mis-balanced my wheels to make me believe it and upsell me on new wheels. I went to another discount tire and got all 4's replaced recently. My car drives better than it did last time and also asked them to check for any bent wheels and say couldn't find anything. It was only tire rotations, but in today's Culture it needs to be said. Noah did a great job from start to finish. He and manager were cordial in greeting and letting me know that someone would be with me shortly. Nothing crappier then waiting in line not knowing if someone will service you or assist someone who came after. And Kudos for not trying to sell me tires when I don't need them! I had a light come on out of nowhere when I got in my car telling me there was an issue with my tire. I had a quick look and could see there was a nail in it. I took it over to my local discount tire and they fixed it for free. I was pretty impressed because I didn't think anyone does anything for free anymore. If that's how they plan on getting my repeat business, it worked. Service was very friendly and quick with no nonsense. Absolutely horrible service today. Had an appointment scheduled at 10:30am for tire rotation and balancing. Arrived a little before the appointment time, an employee met me in the parking lot to evaluate my vehicle. At the conclusion of his inspection, he informs me that my tires are great but he could sell me some new lugs (nothing wrong with the current ones) and once I declined, his attitude changed. I was placed on the list as a walk-in. After noticing him and other employees for 45 minutes flirting with young women who were walk-ins and servicing their vehicles (basically in and out), I walked over and inquired why it was taking so long for my vehicle to move and was told, "we are swamped today and things are taking longer, you could have made an appointment." At this time, I reminded the employee, as he was the one that checked me in, that I had an appointment but he had me listed on the screen as a walk-in. He stated, "I'll move your car in now". No, just return my keys and I'll go elsewhere. Had planned to bring another vehicle in later to purchase tires but I will be taking that business elsewhere. read more

All Discounts have great prices. But I know first-hand that this location has a really dedicated and friendly staff. Over the years, I've done business here several times and I have never once been treated with less than total courtesy; often at least one person has gone above and beyond - like offering to stay and fix a flat (the free kind!) when they know I won't make it to the shop until just a few minutes before closing time. No attitude, no 'little lady' boy condesencion. Nothing gross - which is a damn fine quality in an automotive services provider! Hanging out in a tire shop is not exactly my favorite thing to do, but I know where to go when I have to! They've definitely earned my loyalty. read more

On July 3 I had a flat right in front of Discount Tire. These were tires I had purchased 3 weeks prior from Discount. It was approximately 6:05. I pulled my car to the middle of their parking lot and proceeded to ask an employee for help since I saw all bay doors were open and they were full and still working on cars. Employee stated they were closed and walked away. I then walked to their front door which was locked, manager said closed walked off. I proceeded to change my tire while approximately 10 Discount employees watched plus a waiting room full of customers. I am 65 years old and it was 103 outside. An employee could have taken 5 minutes to give me a hand since it was their tire in the first place! What kind of customer service is this?!?
