I live in San Clemente and she lives in La Verne which is about 75 miles away for me, no problem I was at her home @ 8am. I explained to her that I used to have my vehicle serviced at H Car Repair and should give them a try. Ok Grandpa let's go she stated, about 7 minutes away arrived and I let her explain what service she needed and any problems she is experiencing. A very proud Grandpa as she spoke with the owner-manager of the shop. She and Dave agreed to have the work completed. So she and I went to have breakfast and enjoy each other's company which was wonderful to catch up. A couple of hours later her vehicle is ready, Dave brought in the parts replaced into the lobby showing my granddaughter and explaining in detail the process and cost. I immediately drove my car to Henry's Automotive. Henry said, "its your alternator." He knew because my parking brake light came on same at with my battery light. Sure enough, it was my alternator was going bad. Henry said come back tomorrow and I will get you a new alternator and get you back on the road good as new. I came back the next day. And I drove off with a new alternator and my car was back to running good as new. Recently my car wasn't eccelerating good. Henry said "Lets go for drive in your "car. We hopped in and went for a drive. Henry said, its your Cat it could be plugged up. Your Catallyic convertor is probably needs to be replaced. Henry said I will order you a new Manifold Convertor and we will get you back on the road again. My car is a older car Henry had difficulty finding my Manifold converter. Henry called my a week later and found my manifold Convertor. He said come in tomorrow. And I will take you home and pick you up in 3 hrs your car will be good as new. In 3 hrs in in my car all fixed and running perfectly. I noticed when I'm at Henry's Automotive People come back to Henry's that have moved far away. A man from Riverside comes back to Henry's. Other folks long time customers came from Palm Springs back to Henry's. I'm a auto parts delivery driver. Last 5 yrs I deliver to over 60 auto repair garages. Henry' Automotive is by far the best repair garage here in the area. I'm sure glad Henry is my mechanic. Its a beautiful blessing to have Henry as my mechanic. Unfortunately, my vehicle's air conditioning system is once again malfunctioning, now blowing only hot air. Given my previous substantial expenditure and the relatively short time since the last repair, I brought my car in for inspection, leaving it overnight as advised. Prior to leaving my vehicle, I had a clear verbal agreement with Henry, who explicitly assured me, "I won't do any work without calling you first and agreeing on the service." This commitment was crucial for me to authorize any diagnostic or repair work. To my dismay, upon collecting my vehicle, I was presented with an invoice for $155 for..without any prior communication or authorization from my end. This directly contradicts the explicit agreement I had with Henry and my expectation of transparency. Furthermore, my interaction with an older female (VERONICA)at the counter was highly unsatisfactory. Her demeanor was notably rude, demonstrating a complete lack of customer service etiquette and professionalism, which further compounded my negative experience she continued to argue with me and raise her voice for no reason. I had a…read morecoolant leak that was causing my engine to overheat and after shopping around on Yelp, took it to another local shop with a four star rating for diagnosis and repair. The other shop happens to be a medium-size chain. After paying $70 for the diagnosis, which was approximately the quote that I was getting from everyone, they found the source of the problem and quoted me $1,500 for parts & labor. My research online led me to find that the cost is typically more in the $1,000-$1,200 range, so I decided that it was worth shopping around even if I had to pay for a second diagnostic. On the recommendation of a friend, I took it to AIMM. It's not a beautiful looking shop, but that was actually a good sign - you pay for sparkle. I told the owner, Tommie, what was happening and the other shop's diagnosis, and to make a long story short, they showed me the problem and fixed my car for less than half what the first shop wanted. In fact, the total cost to me at AIMM was less than what the first place wanted to charge for the part alone. People, including myself, worry about the honesty of auto repair businesses. They worry about being charged for unnecessary repairs. They worry about being overcharged. They worry about the work not being done right. My experience at AIMM is that I won't have to worry about any of those things. I give it my highest recommendation.

I never had any sensor issues before they worked on my truck. When I brought the issue up, they wanted to charge me $140+ to replace that sensor and recalibrate the others. That's unacceptable considering the problem started right after their service. What made the experience even worse was the manager's confrontational attitude. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue professionally, he actually dared me to leave a review. Based on how I was treated, I do not recommend this business for any automotive repairs. Looking at the ratings now, I'm not surprised others have had negative experiences as well (3 .5 stars).

Being 76 years old and a former mechanic with a previous smog license, I was unable to do the work because of age and arthritis. Nam and his crew performed the corrective maintenance replacing the wiring, harness and intake manifold gaskets with the parts I supplied. The price was very reasonable and the work was completed promptly (within four hours)! The workmanship for the service was top-notch professional. I say this, being a former mechanic this shop is top-notch very professional and a great place to have your car repaired. People that have complained about the shop are getting the wrong information or have no idea what their job entails. I went into the office and tried to get the attention of who I assume was the owner. I called for him three separate times, but he didn't even look up from his iPad, where he was playing chess. After getting no response, I had to walk into the shop area and ask one of the technicians who was working on a vehicle for help. I understand that people can be busy, but completely ignoring a customer who is trying to get your attention is not good customer service. I would expect at least a simple acknowledgment or for someone to let me know they would be with me shortly. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this shop if customer service is important to you.
