You can spend all day in there chatting about music and the way recording and distribution has changed over the years. Great place. I would stop by even if you don't have a record player or tape player. The nostalgia, the walk down memory lane when you Spin a record on your palms or stick your finger in a cd. Man I feel old. If you're into punk / metal / hardcore, they have a great selection, but I've also picked up some good hip-hop, jazz, folk, and country stuff here, too. The dude that works behind the counter is super friendly, chatty, and seems to genuinely appreciate people being there. The sign even says "Friendliest Record Store." I'll be honest - as a former record store employee with a terrible attitude that kind of put me off at first. But as I've gotten older and less unruly, it was appreciated when I was able to wax nostalgic about wax with him. Good selection of 7"s, too - and if you look at their website you can virtually check what's in stop before hitting them up. Oh, and they have sales - often! - that are noted on their Instagram page. Need more shops like this. Need more people to support shops like this. I'm a fan.

It got real crowded up in there real fast. I wish they had more seating outside so people could just chill and enjoy the beats. It's probably more comfy on a regular day to come and dig through their records for that unexpected gem. My husband is a dj so he loved the 404 event and the vinyl that he found. Some (used) albums are pricey and makes you think, "why?" But small, local record shops are a thing of the past, so if you appreciate music, vinyl, and the whole beat community, go support Twelves Wax!

I was specifically looking for Mesoamerican mythology and history of colonial Mexico and I found it. Books are decently priced, they have both new and used. The price point is fairly accessible for the condition of the books. I love getting lost in those shelves it's the best part of bookstores in my opinion. Staff is always friendly and helpful, always willing to give you a free bookmark or a photo of a crop circle!

The atmosphere inside was very peaceful, they had soothing music playing, perhaps a bit of incense burning and it was well lit and thoughtfully arranged for perusing items. For a relatively compact footprint, I can't imagine that you would have difficulty finding whatever you might need here. In addition, one of the biggest selection of saint cards I've ever seen. Also very Spanish-speaking friendly. I was helped promptly and cordially at checkout. They are in the same small shopping mall as O'Reilly auto parts and a mobile phone shop. With that said. As we walked in, the two individuals working that day were just having a conversation with each other. Neither of them greeted us or welcomed us to the store. We walked around for a few minutes and neither one of them asked if we needed help or acknowledged us even tho there was no one else in the store. I won't ever be coming back to this place again.
