We were without Internet for a week, give or take a couple random hours. Called Cox to see if…read moreInternet was down. It was not. Reset the router. Turned our phones off and on. Turned our computers off and on. Went to Cox store for a new router. Nada. Finally got Cox to send out a technician. He said the problem was in our walls. We need our walls so getting rid of them was not an option. (Note: we have lived here 17 years. This is the first time ever our walls have been a problem). After an hour or so of tech trying to figure things out we made an appointment for him to come back over the weekend. Because frankly we were out of ideas. I don't know how many degrees it takes to understand this stuff but apparently it's more than 2. Meanwhile my husband was starting to freak out. He really needs Internet service for his job when he's taking call from home so not having reliable internet is not an option. (I'm a writer and need it too but people's lives aren't affected if I write bad prose). Husband calls Cox, says this no internet thing is not acceptable, tech didn't seem to have any good ideas and he wants to know what their plan is to fix it. Cox escalates the issue, promises they will have their most experienced tech come out the next day to get things taken care of. Husband shuffles around some things at work and makes plans to be here when the tech shows up hoping that can make a difference. Which it probably wouldn't but like I said we were out of ideas. With hopeful hearts we got up the next day looking forward to getting our Internet back. Then husband called. Apparently the tech that had come to our home called my husband wanting to know why a different tech was being sent out to our house. Husband said that's what Cox suggested. Dude was really pissed, said that other tech had no more experience than he had. A few minutes later husband got an automated phone call from Cox. Appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for the following morning. Nobody checked with us to find out if either of us would even be here. And there was nobody to call to figure out what was going on. And that is how we ended up getting AT&T Fiber less than 24 hours later. Start to finish they were professional and polite. There was no trauma. There were no wall issues. AT&T got everything done in record time. The difference between the two companies was absolutely astounding. I have no idea how Cox even stays in business. Our experience was beyond horrific. If you are looking to get internet service I would highly recommend you steer clear of Cox. Thank you AT&T Fiber for bringing us back into the 21st Century! (P.S. if there was a way to leave ZERO stars I would, but you need to leave at least one star for the review to post).

No! It was new to high springs for internet and it worked 4 days of the 3 weeks I had it. It took…read more3-5 days to get them back out here to fix it both times it was down. When it was on my devices kept losing connection. Only reason I give it 2 stars instead of 1 is because it was fast when on. Also they told me on the phone that no gear return was needed because I had fiber but then they billed me over $300. Don't get their service until they work out all the bugs!! Side note you don't talk to humans when you call for problems. All automated.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I work from home, as do many people these days, and I also work…read morethird shift. Several times a month, the internet just...goes out. For my entire shift. No warning. No intermittent returning and going out again. It's just out. For sometimes 12 or more hours. We had to buy a better mobile plan so I could use *that* multiple times a month when Cox's service inevitably goes out. It may not seem like much, saying "several times a month" and it may not look like much plotted on a map, but when you pay as much as we do, you expect much, much more. Internet is not a luxury anymore. It is absolutely a requirement. Every time I've contacted Cox, they've given me no help. "It's an outage" or "we're working on it". No explanations of why and every time they deigned to give me an ETA, it was off by hours. Don't even bother with the chat, it's all AI bots spouting nonsense about how "they understand, they use their internet to work from home too". But they're even less useful and just as full of shit. If you have an option (which I know not everyone does...hell, WE don't), do NOT choose Cox. They are the worst ISP we've ever had. And we had Comcast. ...so good job being worse than Comcast, I guess.

Do not go with this provider at all. I give them negative stars. I live in an apartment complex and…read morethey have COX internet as their provider and it's been terrible. WiFi will go in and out randomly. As of right now my unit hasn't had wifi in two weeks. I've called multiple times to request a technician to come to my unit to see what's going on, but they refuse because "everything looks good on their end" . I've been on the phone calls with people for 40 plus minutes trying to get them to come but they will not. Terrible customer service don't recommend at all.

These reviews HAVE to be from employees!!! 21st Century Communications retail seller for HughesNet…read morethey LIE. Sales assistant, David sold me on HughesNet, and boy did he. I had an absolutely horrible experience. Scam, they have GBs pulled from devices turned off he told me by email and rep told me by phone. Complete farce! Internal equipment has obviously a tracking device to force you to update plan more than once, accuse you of using too much data and pay more. Complete and utter B.S. Also, why can't I submit review directly on Google website, so it appears there in plain sight??? Intentional because this supposed retailer providing SCAM service is DISHONEST!!! HughesNet refused to come to home to get equipment and even when I reluctantly offered to pay, still refused. Last rep informed me cancellation of internet $370.00 and phone $200.00, total $570.00. And boy did they charge to my checking, day after cycle period ended, only time I was told the TRUTH! But David told me $400.00 cancellation and previous rep on phone with ATTITUDE. The dish I have to hire someone to remove and radio on dish I have to return, plus equipment inside of home I have to return. Pathetic, dishonest retailer and internet service company!!! Please, if someone reads this shopping around for internet and phone service, do yourself a favor find another retailer and provider that is reputable and honest and ask your neighbors too to verify legit. P.S. I had gotten this service for my parents that live in FL.
