Zero stars. I purchased $10,000 worth of high end wool carpet from this store. The installer showed up 4 hours late the day of the install with the wrong padding. He worked for 3 hours and left and then called me at 7:30 pm wanting access to my house to work through the night. Upon returning it took him 3 more full days to install 3 bedrooms and the stairs. Not big bedrooms. The install was so bad I had to hire another installer to come and fix all the seams and redo the stairs completely. When I called the store on the 3rd to discuss the issues they were nonchalant about it and blamed the installer for everything and said that the installer would have to pay to fix all the issues. They took no responsibility. I asked the manager, Dee to come and look at the issues and he said he would but then never returned my calls or texts to do so. This company and the management clearly do not care about the customer or the product they put out. Do Not buy anything from them. so not worth the headache.

We ordered our flooring from direct flooring and their recommended installer came out to measure. I've seen other posts here stating similar problems, as the installer over estimated the amount of flooring needed to the extent of 630 ft.² of extra LVP flooring, 32 boxes, at an additional cost of $2,600.00. Neither the installer, nor the company would credit us for the disastrous over estimate of flooring. Once again stating it was a special order. Needless to say, we are still stuck with 32 boxes of Nature TEK select flooring in our garage. After numerous phone calls and promises to work out the situation, my husband was kicked out of the store when he suggested getting an attorney, and he was told never to come back. Completely unacceptable.

Moved into a new construction home, and wanted to replace the carpet upstairs with luxury vinyl plank. Yelp recommended this business. Wife and I went to the store and we're greeted by I believe the owner's son. He was very knowledgeable, and guided us to the product we were searching for. He gave us a rough estimate with the numbers I provided him with. His estimate was several thousand dollars cheaper than every one else. They were timely, and very professional. They contract out their install which saves money for you. Overall very happy with the finished product. I would highly recommend them over the local competitors.

Andrew was very helpful with helping us pick out our flooring. He let us take home a decent sized sample (not the small squares) but actual planks that you can see in your home. He was patient with my indecisiveness, even after paying I changed my mind and he was nothing but helpful. Our floors were installed by Jeff and Austin and they did an absolutely AMAZING job!!! Will be going back for carpet for our upstairs! Craftsmenship and great Sales people are still around!

what a great experience we had. I read the reviews prior to coming in and I was a little worried to start. Most of the reviews are about installation, during the process of our sale the sales rep made it very clear that they do not sell the insulation that I am hiring my own contractor. they explained to me that contractors who come in they check their references their license and make sure they're legal to work in the state. They made it very clear to me that I am the one hiring the installer and paying him directly upon completion and satisfaction. The price I got for the material was extremely less than anywhere else I have been. The installation went perfect they moved all my furniture for free and they even hauled away all the trash. My wife noticed one area behind the washing machine that the trim did not look right. He came back out and fixed it. If you follow the policy the store has in place that they make you sign off on acknowledging that you understand the policies, then you should have never have a problem with the installation. we had our floor installed last July 2021, The installer gives a one-year warranty on the labor. well we were outside of our one year warranty and there was one board that was not looking correct and my wife wanted it fixed. we contacted the store manager and told him our concern he told us that we were outside of our one-year warranty with the installer. But the store was kind enough to send another installer over to fix the issue even though it was outside of the warranty. And truth be told my kids are the one who damage the board it was not the manufactures fault, the stores fault, or the installers fault it was our fault in the store did the right thing and got it fixed for us at no charge. This is the second project we have had done by them and we will send anybody that I asked to them. We live in Beachwalk but we used to live in Nacotee so they did both of my houses. and both times they went over exactly how the installation is supposed to go in the payment process. So as I read these reviews I know the store told them the process just like they did us. They even built the steps inside of my theater. We are very happy with there service. The store manager even shows up on jobs unannounced to make sure the project looks good, and the installers appearance is correct. Not many companies will go out of their way to make sure you were satisfied. But just like they told me once I pay for the labor their hands are tied, so if you do business with them listen to what they say and do not pay for the installation until you are 100% satisfied. If you pay for your installation in your non-satisfied the store tells you that they cannot do anything because another installer is not going to come over and fix an issue that another installer did and made the money off of. But if you don't pay until you're 100% satisfied the installer will be over there Johnny on the spot to fix any issues.

Title: Avoid Empire Flooring at All Costs - A Costly Nightmare from Start to Finish…read more Review: In December 2023, I paid over $22,000 to have my floors installed by Empire Flooring. Within months, I noticed the baseboards lifting from the walls throughout my entire home. A contractor later explained that Empire installed the quarter round too tight against the flooring, causing the lifting issue. When I called Empire in March 2025, they informed me that my installation warranty had expired just three months earlier. Even worse, I had purchased a $2,000 extended warranty, which I later learned only covers accidental damage--not installation errors. Absolutely unbelievable. That alone was bad enough--but the story gets worse. After a kitchen flood damaged about 200 square feet of flooring, I paid $3,600 for repairs. In the middle of the repair, the installation manager abruptly ordered the crew to leave, claiming that my original flooring was installed incorrectly and that my continuous flooring layout violated the manufacturer's warranty--even though Empire themselves installed it that way! He insisted that they would only proceed if I agreed to add five transitions in doorways and an 18-foot transition strip across the middle of my great room. When I refused to accept that ridiculous "solution," they walked off the job. After multiple complaints to corporate, Empire finally offered to replace all my flooring for $10,000 since they no longer carry my original material. I agreed, set an install date, and took off work... but no one showed up. The sales rep stopped responding, and now, as of October 2025, I've lost two days of work and still have no completed floor. I've given this company every opportunity to make things right, and they have failed miserably at every turn. If you value your home, your time, or your sanity--DO NOT hire Empire Flooring. I wish I never had.
