Don't ever do business with these crooks. They will poorly install your LVP flooring without a vapor barrier in Florida of all places. And after the floors are installed like a DIY project, you tell them from day one there's been cupping and uneven dips in the floor all over. They're gonna tell you it's your problem and offer to correct it at your expense. Literally told me I would have to PAY THEM TO HAVE MY FLOORS DONE ALL OVER AGAIN THE RIGHT WAY. Shane is nothing more than a scammer. He came to my house and instantly saw how poor of a job his guys did and then later tried to blame the foundation of my home. A brand new construction home, might I add. Saying it's a moisture issue. But could never fully explain how it wasn't detected when they did a "moisture test that detected no high levels of moisture. He never addressed why if it was truly a moisture issue, shouldn't that be something that happens over time? Why would my flooring having cupping issues and dips/uneven floors from day one of the floors being installed? Being so naive, I thought floors had to settle. But nope. Just a horrible job from a janky business that doesn't take ownership of their mistakes. Just took thousands of dollars from me and blamed it on my house. Don't ever trust these people. Terrible Customer Service. I ordered new carpet and linoleum for my entire house and scheduled installation. I was told it would be a 2 day installation. Day 1 of the installation - They are 3 hrs late. I had to call them to find out that they were having new tires installed on their truck. When they are laying the carpet, I notice that is not the color I ordered. I call them and Shane comes to my house with the sample. He tells me it might be a different dye lot. I am concerned that the color won't coordinate with the new linoleum. Shane leaves with the promise to send me a picture of the linoleum for comparison and to find out what can be done about the wrong color carpet. He never called back or sent the picture. Day 2 of the installation - I called Shane again for the picture of linoleum and options about the carpet color. He sends me the picture, no comments on the color, no apology for not sending the pervious day. At the end of day 2, only 2/3rds complete. They then inform me that they won't be back the next day to complete the installation, but will return the following day. House in total disarray, with partial installation. Day 3 of the installation - They are 2 hrs late, arrived at 12:30 with the knowledge that they still had a 3rd of the job left to do. At 5 pm, I tell them that I won't be available for a 4th day of installations. They stay until 7 pm and finish the job. Three days after final installation, I find a bubble in the kitchen floor. I call Shane and he tells me that he will call back the next day to schedule someone to come look/resolve issue. One WEEK goes by and no call from Shane. When I call back 7 days later, they finally sent someone to resolve the problem. DO NOT USE GATOR CARPET. They had good pricing and the sale was easy. Everything after that was completely downhill. An apology would have been appreciated. Pay a little more to get better service. read more

They show up on time, perform outstanding work, price fairly, and great interaction with staff and tenants. First, let me say that the salesperson that I worked with, John, was great! I walked in not knowing what I wanted but needed install ASAP in my living room and dining room. John helped me select and had someone out to measure that same day. The problem was the installer! He did a terrible job all the way around! It seemed pretty simple to me...a 12x12 living room, a 13x11.5 dining room (both approx.) There is a seam in the living room and 4 seams in the dining room!!! Why?? He did such a terrible job that they had to send out their best installer to fix the seams and clean up the transitions into the foyer and into the kitchen! The owner came out to inspect and agreed the installer chose a peculiar way to run the carpet! He told me to give it a month or so to see how it "settles". I'm so very unhappy with the way it looks. It's too big of an expense to settle for just mediocre! read more

You know, their shop isn't much to look at (if you can find it at all) but these guys are terrific. Their prices are excellent, they do what they need to do to get the job right the first time and most importantly they show up when they say they're going to. The have lots of carpet in stock so if you need something basic and aren't too picky on the color, they can get you going in a few days. I've used them three times so far. Good people. read more

You get what you pay for! We purchased our carpet from these guys a little over a year ago because they had the lowest prices in town. First red flag was having to ask them redo the installation after they said they had finished because the edges looked horrible and the response was that this was as good as it was going to get. Well, after insisting, the did it better but not perfect. After walking around on the carpet we felt a gap in the padding under the carpet the ran the whole width of the room. We called them up to come back and redo it the same day. The did but overnight a bubble in the carpet formed. We called the main store again and we were told it would be several days (meanwhile our bed is apart in the living room) this time before someone could come out, so we escalated to management to get someone out right away. This time they relaid the padding and removed and reinstalled the carpet, but insisted that the bubble was our fault (nevermind the previous carpet was in the house for twenty years without a problem). This seemed to do the job until a year later when another bubble formed. This time they refused to come out as it was a week past the one year warranty and demanded money instead. If you can't install it right after three attempts, why on Earth would I pay you to come out and do it a fourth time? Save yourselves the headache and future expense, pay a little more to have it done by true professionals! read more

I just bought a house and our sellers did a great job of hiding the fact that they had an indoor cat till our walk thru the day of closing we noticed the very strong scent of cat urin that wasn't noticeable before. we realized quickly that the carpet had to go, and fast! we went into gator carpet on friday moring, my mother in law found an ad on craigslist, the owner was upfront and real with us and didn't try to sell us what we didn't need, we explained our very tight budget, he walked us thru what we needed to do to prep our floors and clean up the urine our selves to save money, he worked us a great deal and had his guy there the next business morning (Monday) the installer that came was VERY nice and did an amazing job, (the poor guy had to deal with my VERY chatty mother in law becasue i was at work) he only replaced the tack strip that NEEDED to be replaced and did a wonderful job, even carpeted an extra closet with left over carpet that wasnt in the original work order. my carpet looks amazing, even for bargin carpet, we plan to tile the entire house in the next 2 years and we will 100% be coming back to gator, and have already recomended to several friends. I am normally the customer that leave bad reviews, but this guy didnt treat me like a stupid woman with no clue ( which even in 2014 happens so often) , he was real upfront and honest with me. Started off as a good experience but after the payment was made and installers came that's when the miscommunication started to happen. Long story short there was an issue during the installation and the company failed to communicate. After the issue my wife voiced her concern to the sales person and he pretty much told her that they were professionals and they knew what needed to be done. So after I heard about it and called the same sales person he advised me of the situation but admitted to me that a mistake in miscommunication was made and that they should have at least reached out to me or my wife to get clarity. He promised to come out and fix the issue but never ended up returning my phone call or text. After that I reached out one last time and still no answer so this is why I'm leaving this review now. Moral of story this companies installers are trash much like their salesperson. Would not recommend doing business with this company unless you are going to be only buying product and hiring your own installers. If I could give a Zero rating I would. read more
