First, they try to sell you on this additional dilation exam for an extra like $50-60 that is cash pay only. I kept pushing the issue and wasn't told until the optometrist came in (my third point of contact during my visit) that I was told that there is an option to have the test done and that insurance DOES cover it, but you have to get eye drops instead of the other method. Different process, same results...ones free and one isn't. I don't like it when businesses do things like this. Give me my options up front and let me decide. Secondly, I don't like the fact that they deal with patients eyes without gloves. This is extremely unsanitary and I was grossed out when the tech that administered my eye drops had long fake nails and touched my face/eye lids with no gloves. And I was more shocked that the doctor came in and did the same. They did both get a squirt of hand sanitizer, however THAT IS NOT ENOUGH when dealing with someone's body, especially EYES. I am also in the wellness field and I would never disrespect myself or clients by not wearing gloves. I get that it is an additional expense to purchase so many gloves, however passing norovirus or RSV is also expensive. Almost all the techs had long fake nails and no gloves in sight. Staff very friendly, however I will drive further in the future to find another Visionworks.

All I ask is for better communication between you all, the lab that makes the glasses, and me, the patient. Thank you. Edit-- I received an update on the glasses and it turned out that there was an issue with the anti glare coating not passing inspection, which is completely understandable. When I tried them on, I voiced my skeptacism and that they were no better than my old glasses which were nearly 4 years old. I agreed to give them a try. Over next months, I went back twice to express my dissatisfaction and each time my concerns were dismissed and I was told there was nothing they could do. After getting tired of carrying around multiple pairs of reading glasses of various powers so I could actually see clearly, I sent my progressive lens prescription to Warby Parker. In less than a week to send me a brand new pair of glasses for less than half of what Vision Source had charged me. When I tried on the WarbyParker glasses I was immediatly shocked about the increased clarity at distance and up close. The fact that the Warby Parker glasses were so much better using the same prescription that Vision Source provided me, tells me that whoever Vision Source used to make my glasses produced a substandard product and Vision Source Magnilia does not stand behind their product.
