The place is great and so was Dr. Lorraine Payan. She was very thorough and helpful in the examination process. Selecting the right glasses was also a breeze and the optician who helped me was very friendly but I have one complaint, and that is you all need to at least inform me when you are experiencing a delay or issue with my eyeglasses. I had to have someone on my behalf contact you all as I was unable to contact them myself. And please try to provide an estimated time in a timely manner because it has been over three weeks since I had placed my order... I really need my glasses soon. All I ask is for better communication between you all, the lab that makes the glasses, and me, the patient. Thank you. Edit-- I received an update on the glasses and it turned out that there was an issue with the anti glare coating not passing inspection, which is completely understandable. After all, they need to make sure everything is up to par. I'm glad they took that extra step to make sure my glasses would be not only up to my standards but up to theirs. And I'm pretty impressed by that attention to detail. Now I'm looking forward to getting my glasses! read more

I took my two kids to get their eye checked and both were prescribed glasses. They said it would be 10 business days for my children's glasses to be ready. It's been 17 business days(/weekdays) and only one of the glasses were ready after 2+ weeks later. When I received a text message letting me know I can pick up the glasses, I called to see if the second one was ready but they it wasn't and they couldn't tell me why. I called again the following week and asked them to follow up and let me know why it's not ready or an estimated time of when it was ready but they never called back. This is ridiculous! Generally had good experience but not today, been going there for some time.. When I picked up the glasses they were not the one I picked out. i ordered half rim but they were full rim. The staff was pretty busy so couldn't speak to the gentlemen who takes the order. I guess will have to compromise and order some online which are 1/3 of the price. The last time when i ordered, the glasses were delayed but they were on top of communication. But this time they totally messed up:-). Wrong frames and doesn't feel right. **Warning--Mismanagement of patient information and appointment times** I called the office for my annual appointment and was "scheduled" for an appointment by Maria and was told to expect a reminder/confirmation call prior to my appointment. When I didn't hear from the office, I called the day before to confirm and Maria said she could not find my appointment or personal information that I provided. I was transferred to Colleen who was not helpful, and did not offer to honor my original appointment time nor accommodate my availability. Very poor customer service and office management. I was hesitant about this place bc it took me about 15 min just to set up an appointment when it realistically should take 5 tops. I got there and no one was at the front desk, but they are in the processes of hiring a receptionist so understandable. I did however love the staff that did the first couple of eye tests as well as my Dr.! Dr. Rodriguez was super nice, explained things thoroughly answered any questions I had and over all just great! Great experience! I was looking for a new eye Doctor in the area and came across this office on yelp. The staff was courteous and attentive from the moment I walked in the door. Dr. Lorraine was extremely thorough and made sure any questions I had for her was answered. I had Lasik about 14 years ago and I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to wear contacts again. This location refused to give me my contact prescription when requested. I had to call multiple times because they never followed up with my request and when they finally sent me my prescription they sent me my lenses one and not the one I requested. I read a few reviews about them but decided to try them out anyways, and ended up extremely disappointed. read more

More of a warning than a review at this point. If you have made the unfortunate decision to have Davis Vision, Do Not go to this place. Once I informed them I had purchased Davis, they said Davis is slow, doesn't handle claims well and are cheap insurance all around. When my order sat on their shelf for a week, they blamed Davis (UPS tracking told a different story). When they didn't install the lenses correctly they blamed Davis for sending bad parts. When said lens fell out and I couldn't find it they told me Davis would only cover it if I brought the missing glass in... Side note I called Davis and they said technically that's right but if I had brought a price of any broken glass it would have been zero issue, and said they were surprised the optometrist didn't just file the claim based on that. Also I had to endure snide remarks from their great front desk staff about Davis as well as over hear Alan and her laughing about how there was no way that was going to work because I had such a cheap insurance. How bad is dealing with this place when you have Davis? I have now purchased two pairs of glasses and paid full price at other places rather than go back. I've paid about $600 as well as canceling Davis rather than go because how absolutely horribly my experience was. read more

Overall it was a horrific experience. I would not recommend this business to any of my friends or relatives. The doctor was very rude and overall made visits extremely uncomfortable. I constantly felt like an obligation. I would state that the contacts that were fitted were very blurry and he would simply say just try it and continuously send me out the door. This happened many times in FIVE visits in a row. Absolutely nothing was resolved and he proceeded to tell me that there was nothing he could do for me. Basically all my time spent there was a waste. I've worn contacts for my whole life and had recently changed insurance plans so I was searching for a new doctor. I most definitely would not recommend cy-fair eye care to anyone. read more

Do NOT use Dr Lorraine Payan. She is very condescending and I question her competence. Twice she tried to lower my prescription by a whole power because she thought I didn't need anything that strong and I couldn't see. I had to go back several times to have her raise my glasses and contact prescriptions back to where they were before I saw her. read more

Dr Jose Payan was very accommodating and extremely thorough when I recently noticed a new asymmetry in my pupils that had me concerned; especially as I was about to leave town for a week. His office is outfitted with all the latest and greatest technology and he even asked if I wanted certain test results emailed to me. I had my children with me at the time( who thankfully were actually behaving) and as he reviewed my results he began teaching them a few things, making them excited to now go get their eyes checked.I highly recommend this office to anyone for routine vision checkups as well as medical eye evaluations! read more

Dr. Loraine Payan is one of a kind! She is sincere and takes the time to listen to you. You aren't rushed (like other chain stores) so they can get to the next patient. I paid for her to help me get closer to 20/20 vision and she does just that. Her staff is also very nice and the gentleman who helped me pick out my new frames was very accommodating! As much as I'd saddens me I have to say I am going somewhere else for my eye care needs. The doctors and staff here are amazing! However, their availability with appointments has been absurd! To have to wait a month or two to be seen for an eye exam is beyond unacceptable. This small practice used to be really good appointment wise. I could get in less than a week and now I'm being told that they don't have any Saturday appointments until July! ( it is May when I called). Then I call to see if I can get a late afternoon and I am told at least two weeks wait. From my experience, the doctors here are great, they take their time with you, answer all your questions, and make sure you are taken care of from A to Z but the appointment availabilities are going to drive your patients away! Now I have to go back to tso since I'm out of contacts and they can get me in a week or less... read more

I was upset with the service provided for my sons and the attitude of the staff and the doctor. On December 21st we purchased 2 sets of glasses, 1 each for both of my sons. The first set was delivered on time. Not so much with the second set. It was finally ready to be picked up on January 19th, almost 1 month after being purchased. Upon picking up the glasses I was informed that the amount of money due was $40.00 greater than expected because of a mistake that his office staff made with the account. They admitted to this error, however no accommodation was made for the 30 day delay on the glasses. I paid the full amount and asked for the doctor to call me. He called me about 20 minutes later stating it was a problem with his staff in regards to the payment and the delay was due to a problem with the lab. I have a hard time seeing this leading to a 30 day delay! He could hear in my voice that I was perturbed with the very poor, substandard and shoddy customer service. He than went on to ask for a further $40.00 for an error they made with my other sons account. I told him to bill me and hung up the telephone. The doctor than went on to call my wife at her work and complain about me, his paying customer!! He than proceeded to inform my wife that I had dropped the f-bomb in our conversation, that I had not. I have a hard time understanding a so called medical professional who calls a customers wife to complain, and again ask for the $40.00 from his offices mistake with my second sons account. We have already paid $600.00 in cash plus our vision insurance for these two sets of glasses. This is not how I have ever run my business and professional customer service is far from his level of practice. Needless to say he will never be getting any more of my families business!! I strongly recommend anyone searching for a new eye-doctor to please avoid this place altogether. They had no qualms over charging me by $120.00, and then having Mona make me jump through hoops in order to get a simple refund!! The lies I was told!! I was also told, by Mona, that they do not have a office manager. I urge the doctors to hire one that possesses the skill level to resolve all issues professionally and quickly, especially when they are at fault. The downside to this review is they called me today to say my glasses were ready and I drove over there and they were not there. The doctors are rude. I try to make conversation and they are so antisocial. Customer service is literally not a thing here. The front desk girl is the nicest person in the building. I am legally blind. Right now I am sitting in the waiting room instead of what I had planned for the day because my shitty contacts tore. I was wearing one wrong because they didn't have the right one to give me? So eye sight still off with new temp contacts. Tore IN THE CASE. 2 weeks I get no call about my glasses so I had to call today and DRIVE UP HERE BLIND to convey the urgency of my situation and they say the reason it took forever is because my prescription is high. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years it has always been high and I have never had this drama. I'm not even making a return appointment to get more contacts because I will not come back to this place. 20 years. And I have never had an issue with my "high prescription." yes. I'm blind. That's why I come. I've never just been without contacts or glasses etc or been given straight up crappy ones. Also never left a negative review anywhere but I'm livid and it's not even being handled properly coming from a manager which I am and I know about customer service and complaints.
