The theater was nearly empty on Saturday. Only one other family besides my kid and I. Staff was kind and quick to take your order. The floors were clean. Theater 5 was clean and the chairs were comfortable. I really like the stadium seating; they have warmers and recliners. The ambiance was relaxing and a bit darker which I prefer. I think I have re-found my favorite movie theater. I used to come to Flix all the time in college and then I was just closer to the all the other big theaters. I came here and saw Thunderbolts* the other night and now I don't think I'll go back to any other theater! It has that nostalgic movie theater vibe with all the luxuries of the others. They have recliner chairs, swivel tables, cup holders, and I think the seat even had a warmer in it. Talk about the 5-Star movie experience. The popcorn and snacks were great and I like how the drink machine was self-serve so I could mix up a cold drink to my liking. I will be moving over near here soon so I will be going here almost exclusively. I can't wait for my next movie night at Flix. read more

Great theater! It's a nice smaller theater and they show the same movies you'd see at Regal or AMC. The options for snacks are great and I love how I can use the student discount! Large popcorn is $11 but you get 1 free refill so it's worth it for sharing ( or refilling it after the movie for enjoyment at home). Party room we booked for our daughter 9th birthday party . She wanted to see Sonic 3 with family and friends. This location replied to my email quickly and provided package deal options. Just the right size room for a small group and they have kid pack snack options they loved that. Our daughter was very happy with her party. I think the last movie I saw at Flix and at any movie theatre was the first Downton Abbey film that came out in 2019. Flix was a lot different then. This time, a friend and I went to Flix to see the second Downton Abbey film and boy was I impressed with the theatre! Half of the theatres have been upgraded and they are currently getting the rest completed. The seats in the theatre are now heated and recline. They are extremely comfy and there is a tray to put your snacks and drink on. This is a very posh theatre. I loved my experience. I always tried to go to Flix pre-pandemic, because it was always quiet and chill on weekday nights. This remains my go-to theatre and I am a fan of the Dipson chain. read more

I always prefer the Dipson theaters as their offerings are usually not so mainstream. I've only been to this location once before and it wasn't a Dipson then. They offer the same nice seating and the usual counter fare. Concessions are always overpriced but I was taken back at the $3.75 cup of Keurig coffee. This theater is close to our house and is a hidden gem. The theater is clean, prices are consistent with other movie theaters and the popcorn is so tasty. They have movie deals earlier in the day (matinee features) and on Tuesdays they have half off of popcorn & soda as well. I highly recommend this location. It is rarely busy and the seats are comfortable. They also have D-box available, which I've never tried, but it's there if you want to give it a shot. read more

Very clean, new recliner seats with swivel trays, heated seats etc. It'd be nice if a theater in the Buffalo area invested in Dolby Atmos sound and Dolby Vision but even the other bigger national chains in the area have not done so yet. But still, it's 2023 and better picture and sound are things that people want to have nowadays especially when home theater hobbyists have 4k UHD media with Atmos & DTS-X audio tracks you can watch in the comfort of your home. I wouldn't say the sound was bad but, nothing any other theater offers. It is a nice smaller theater though and parking here is easier and more convenient getting in/out than the Galleria Mall. read more

I call this Lancaster theater my home away from home evenings.Im coming to watch a movie at 8:35 this evening . Thutsday a new movie starts (the dog movie) I will be there for that. I'm what they call a frequent flyer. I have free tickets comin to me along with free popcorn and I save them so when I take my grandchildren they get their own bag of popcorn. Your points never expire. The more you go the more points you acquire. They are so accommodating. I have been watching movies here not that long ago but I will always watch my movies here moving forward. I don't even think about going to Regal or any other ones out there. The reason why I like this theater and will drive over 30 mins to Flix is because of the Cheetos Popcorn and how personal this place feels. I feel you are treated better vs the other big chains and everyone who works here are more genuine and want to help you. Also another great place here is the pricing for movies. I feel its a little cheaper than the bigger chains. Oh did I also mention the Cheetos Popcorn? Yes you must try it at least once. For the price you can get a tub of that normal popcorn but it doesn't taste any where as good. Oh they also have self serve pop fountains. Just the Cheetos popcorn and the self serve fountain drinks with free / unlimited refill is worth driving the half hour to Flix. Although I like the other bigger place, Flix is a great deal for the money. They play shows that are older and also the latest films released. What is different is that they can entice a teen on a babysitter budget or a mom or grandma that need a place to go but will forgoe the $40 you spend between tixs and food and drinks elsewhere. Saturday morning they offer a free childrens/family movie at 10 am allowing anyone of any income to be able to afford the show. With the price of gas going up this is definately something to remember. Parking is actually better than the competitors because there really isn't any other traffic coming from other parts of a shopping area and yet, the supermarket and department stores are a two minute drive around each corner. This was my first time going to Flix theatre but I have been to other Dipson theaters. Went here for an early show today and my first impression of the theater was great! The atrium was clean, bathrooms were spotless and the staff was more than friendly. They accepted the vouchers that I had received for two free tickets that the Dipson in Batavia refused on TWO occasions. They also take cards which the Batavia Dipson also does not. The theatre itself was great. Comfy stadium seats that recline slightly and adjustable arm rests. A+ The sound and picture quality were perfect. Going to a movie is one of my favorite things to do (beside 1001 other things). It is fun for a date or family time. However, it can be expensive because you easily spend at least $50 for tickets and snacks for two people. That's why I come to Flix Dipson theaters. It is located on Transit Road in Depew/Lancaster area behind the AMF Lancaster lane and Rite Aid. The tickets are a little bit cheaper than regal cinema and the price at the concessions stand won't break your bank. Not only I love the price, the seats are super comfortable, and the theater is clean. Very nice staffs as well. They also have The Ultimate Bargain Day which is on Tuesdays, except on holidays. Tickets are $7 and you can get popcorn and soft drink for half the price. Too bad they don't have IMAX theater, but they have the D-box seats which I've never tried. (Some day I will come here and try). I will definitely come back here again. read more

I live near Regal Cinemas on Elmwood, but will be willing to travel to Flix instead. A recent remodel of the theaters has the most comfortable seats in the region, the prices are at least a few dollars less...and they're managed by Dipson Theaters, a local business. I went to see 50 Shades Freed. Always a good theater, clean, food is good. On this night there was a family, I assume, young couple with a child who looked to be preschool age in the movie. I reported it, an usher came into the theater but nothing was done. This in my point of view is unacceptable. I understand that they can't control what theater people go into but I reported it! I like Flix very much. I USED TO go to Walden Galleria ONLY because the seats were the best- but now Flix has equally comfortable seats, the prices are better, no traffic, and great sound quality. The ONLY (slight) downside is that it is sometimes too loud, and I have missed several 3D movies because they seem to have only the 2D version a lot of times (I love digital 3D- you just gotta be sure to ask if it is a 3D movie, are they actually playing it in 3D (usually they are, at different times) read more

Went to Flix on a saturday night at about 8:30, Walked in to a packed lobby, got in line and waited for a minute, it moved pretty quickly, the person running the register was pretty rude and didn't seem to care about me or just seemed like he was miserable and trying to get our interaction over with like he was in some sort of rush. He was wearing a different shirt than the others workers so i'm assuming he was the manager who his quite sad. Then i went to the bathroom which was disgusting, black garbage bags covering broken urinals all the toilet seats were covered in urine the one toilet was filled with fruit roll up wrappers just an over all nasty bathroom. I've been a believer in what the Dipson folks have been doing for sometime. For whatever reason, I'd never made it to Flix. Living downtown, I tend to think Market Arcade or Amherst, but circumstances had me out this direction for a screening of "Saving Mr. Banks" (a worthy movie, btw) and it gave me a chance to try out a theater that from the street, is a little nondescript. The Amc in Amherst is getting all the buzz at the moment for the barcoloungers, but I liked what I saw at Flix. They had comfortable, plentiful seats, you sat where you wanted (none of that reserving on line crap), fantabulous popcorn, decent prices, bathrooms that didn't make you cringe and clean auditoriums. They are doing good work there, I'd go back, and buy local as Dipsons is a local firm. read more

I was very disappointed when seeing the new Lion King movie this week. The original is one of my favorite movies, and I was anticipating the new version for months. To me (any many I'm sure), the best part of the Lion King is the music- well, the sound at the viewing I attended was absolutely terrible. It was WAY too quiet, with no surround sound at all- the only sound appeared to be coming from one measly speaker near the screen. The music in this movie is so moving and important to the story, and this aspect was completely lost. I was hoping it would improve after whoever was running the show noticed, but it didn't. I'm already making plans to see it again at another theater because I was so disappointed. read more
