I came here to see a free play called "People Places and Things". It was my first time attending this smaller venue and I absolutely loved it! Check in was easy, and all staff I came in contact with was friendly! I sat front row and loved it! The stage is low to the ground, unlike like large theatre. All of the seats sit higher than the row in front of it which is awesome. I would gladly see a show here again.

Great acting, small, intimate theatre. The 710 theatre is a gem in Buffalo's Theatre District. Easy public parking just a block away if you can't find street parking. Not a bad seat in the house. When a man seated in front of me blocked my view (I'm only 5' 2" that happens often) the box office graciously allowed me to change my seat to the very front row. Right before the show started. Of course there were plenty of available seats so it was doable. I really appreciated it. My daughter and I saw a play titled "Superior Donut" last night. Some references to the political situation in the late 1960's and the Vietnam War that my almost 13 year old daughter may not fully understand. I explained later what the references were about - what an interesting way to learn history. Theatre, like literature, open the eyes and mind to new ideas, different kind of perspectives and people. She got most of it. The comedy / drama was funny and deep at the same time. Kudos to the actors, they were so real in character. You forgot this was a role they were acting. For $20 ticket at a student rate, you must take your teenage children. It's an excellent family outing and so enriching. Adult tickets are $45 at the current time. Well worth it.

Great space to see a show. Saw my first show there last weekend and we really enjoyed it. We didn't partake, but they have a very nice bar space, I would recommend getting there a bit early to enjoy a drink before the show. Otherwise they have popcorn, candy and bottled pop and water. $4 each for Skittles and a Pepsi is a bit pricey, but not any more so than any theatre. It's a much more intimate and modern setting than Shea's, it was a nice change. We bought third row seats as we were concerned front row might be too close, but it definitely would not be. We saw a Starring Buffalo production which I wholeheartedly recommend, they put on a great show!

Definitely putting this theatre in my top favorites. I was very excited to check this place out after exploring the other theatres in the district during a Yelp event a few weeks ago; needless to say, I'm on a theatre kick right now. This place is pretty awesome. It's got all the attraction the name "Shea's" brings with the name, but downsizes it enough to make for a pretty great theatre experience. When you walk in, purses are checked and tickets are scanned - there's also coat check if you need it. In the main lobby there's a few tall tables and a bar, if you want to have a nice drink before the show. My interest is in the theatre itself, though. It's definitely a sizable space, but the seats are positioned in a way where there's really no bad seat in the house - you can view the stage from anywhere, and the stage itself even curves along with the traditional theatre-style seating. We saw Spring Awakening here, and the actors used the theatre entrances/exits as well as some space between some of the rows to put on their performance. It was pretty cool being able to watch them up close from the back section where we were sitting. I am incredibly excited to attend a show here again - they just announced their new season too, and while there weren't any titles that I recognized on there, some of the stories actually sounded pretty interesting. I am looking forward to what they have in store for the future here!

Now this is what I call pretty. That's what she said when she saw me in her underwear

You should only come here at 10 minutes past 7 in the evening, apparently. But it's a great place to visit anytime. This is an awesome colorful theater with an Eclectic calendar. I've only had the pleasure of being inside it a couple of times, but it's one of those little places that a lot of people don't know about - but everybody should.

Best place to catch a performance , very intimate with seating in the round. There is a small bar to buy refreshments. You're so close you could reach out and touch the actors. You get a very up close experience with the actors and see a variety of great plays.Past performances I have enjoyed include Spring Awakening,Ring of Fire, Million Dollar Quartet and local favorite Over the Tavern, this theater never disappoints.

Wonderful intimate theatre, every seat has a great view of the stage which projects into the audience. Was here for Million Dollar Quartet by Musicalfare theater, the show was well done and fast moving. Sound quality was excellent as well as lighting design.

Went to see love letters at this quaint theatre. First time here and it was well kept. It looks like any seat would be a great view. We sat in the 3rd row center and to see their facial expressions really made this presentation enjoyable. It was very different nothing i experienced before. Ali and Ryan played the parts perfectly and fed off each other and were able to feed off the audience because of the small theatre ambiance. Will be back here again with the correct show for this theatre.

We had a great time, only complaint is that they only take cash at the concession stand.

The staff are always so helpful and genuinely seem happy to be there. I am not a big theatre person so it's great to have them there to make sure I am in the right place and not committing any theatre mistakes. The concessions here are pretty decently priced. There is a good variety of drinks and snack options. As someone who generally goes to the movies more than the theatre, I was pleasantly surprised with the options. This space is beautiful. It makes you feel like you've stepped back in time but in the best way. The architecture alone is a reason to come check out this spot, but stay for a show and enjoy!

It is an in the round theatre, there are about 3 rows of seating around the theatre, and it is wonderful. I have a hard time going to the bigger theatres, because I am so used to seeing the actors' faces and expressions and seeing spit fly out of their mouths. Irish Classical has a bar that you can bring in your items during the performance, which is nice. All of the ushers and everyone with Irish Classical are friendly and helpful.  The plays are all from Irish playwrights and they are great. The sets are magical and they transport you into the scene. She's a pretty talented singer, but I really did not expect them to snag so many freaking talented performers for this musical. But before I get ahead of myself, let's talk about the theatre. This spot is right next to Sportsman's, but the entrance is on the side of the building (not the Sportsman's alley, but the opposite side of 330 Amherst). It's kind of towards the back, but there's visible signage and they even put out a poster of the musical, so I knew I was in the right place here. The space is everything I love about local theatres. Very intimate, only about 75 or so sears in house. (It's no wonder that a good show will sell out fast here.) The stage is fairly small too. Seating is a bit more stadium-style with an open aisle that the actors can use. The seats in the back reached a little too far back for my liking, and it was tough to see when the actors were lying down on the stage, but otherwise everyone was pretty visible. You can order a drink before sitting down for the show - which is always a good bonus!! My only real gripe was, when I purchased my tickets they had it under "General Admission" and so I assumed we'd be able to sit anywhere we like - and when we arrived there was assigned seating. I don't know if it was something with the ticket service they use, but I was really hoping to sit up front and would have picked seats there if I had been prompted to before buying them. On to the show - nothing short of fantastic. Calling it "good" would be insulting, it was that incredible of a show. Every actor fit the role so well, sang incredibly, sang their hearts out. You could tell there was passion in the work. I wish they did a cast recording, or I could see a tape of them performing. I want to come back and see more ART shows because of how amazing of a job they did with this production! ART is definitely a fantastic 'hidden' Black Rock gem. Every character in this play could and probably does exist in our real world. Sarcasm exists. Raunchiness exists. Morality exists. Choices exist. Hopefulness exists. Differences exist. These are all for the taking during a writer's creative process. After all, written works are the opinion of the artist. During this play, my mind was kept open. My take was to put myself not only in the role of the writer, but also the roles of the actors. The work, energy, effort and expression are gifts to the spectator. A gift of learning the reason and purpose of the creative "acts", pardon the pun. Bravo to the cast and crew. Side Note: ART is now located at 44 17th Street in an old factory. Really cool if you allow yourself to enjoy the history and reuse of this landmark. Shows are May 10-26, 2018 at 8pm. Should get there early for a drink (beer, wine, water) and parking. Hopefully, rum and coke next season. People out there, please support your local theater and this production. Peace.
