I am a huge fan of AMC Movie Theaters, so much so that I own stock (Fellow APES Unite!) and had a chance to see the new Willy Wonka movie while I was home for the holidays. My brother was so kind as to purchase our tickets while I was in charge of snacks. It was basically my lucky day because as an AMC Stubs Insider, I was able to get my popcorn or drink (I can't quite remember) *FREE* due to December being my birthday month - yay! The seats are SO nice and comfortable. I love the fact they recline and even have a little table area. The movie screen and sound quality were both fantastic. I have some really, really nice AMC Theaters in Los Angeles and am pleased to report the AMC Maple Ridge 8 is in the upper echelon of theaters, too! Just had to walk out on a film, the projector screen was so filthy the movie appeared completely washed out making it unwatchable. The bathrooms looked like a bomb went off. No soap or paper towels, puddles of urine on the floor you could boogie board across. What has happened to my childhood theater. Place has gone so far down hill, a damned shame. read more

This theater is showing its age. You no longer check in in front, but at the concession stand, which is pretty smart of them actually. But the actual theater is in rough shape. But the movies are good. And the parking is easy. read more

It's all about the seats. Popcorns good and buttery the theaters are on the smaller side which is very nice.

The lines were short, the seats were recliners and clean, they have a Coca-Cola remix machine, and the theaters are small and perfectly sized. My only gripe was the popcorn was probably the worst I've ever had in any theater around the world. There were a lot of un popped kernels where We had to make sure we didn't crack our teeth. We would definitely not buy popcorn from here again and might consider smuggling in our own snacks. I'm still a fan of the soda machine though. read more

What the hell has happened? Customers are now forced to wait it the concessions line to purchase tickets? Even if you purchase through the app ahead of time, you have to wait to scan your ticket. With only 1-2 people working. I hope this is only true for matinees, because it's such a rotten business model, I'll wait for movies to release on streaming as a rule. Love the recliners and experience once you actually get in, but this new process sucks. read more

'AMC STUBS' has great members perks/rewards. I had $10 free in rewards, which paid for my matinee ticket and I had free birthday member rewards of free large popcorn and free large drink. So I literally got it all free!! In all fairness, the theater itself appeared very dirty today. Popcorn on every single floor everywhere. This theater used to be really nice but we've recently been back twice now after a while away and man oh man is it a mess. Both visits within two months there has been popcorn everywhere- all over the floors from the lobby all the way to in the theater and yes both times there were also pallets all down the hallways of supplies. We were going to get the Carmel & Cheddar popcorn but they said they were out of the Carmel- that's ok, just cheddar is good - but we got half the amount and it was incredibly stale. The employees, which we appreciate greatly, and the seats were the only positives. read more

Thought I'd come here to see a good movie - I have never been here before, but thought "ohhhh, what the heck, I'll try this place" - the seating was comfy, I liked the extended leg rests, but the movie that was suppose to start at 7pm had already started at 6:30pm as we walked in. Reclining seats in front rows, for some reason they didn't work in the farther back rows. Staff is helpful. Movie and sound quality are stellar. The popcorn I had was stale and not as warm as I'd like it but I saw a later showing so that is expected. Parking lot is big but whole lot has a lot of potholes. read more

COVID update: Finally went to this theater for the first time since early 2020. No complaints with their COVID reopening. We ordered our tickets online ahead of time, and even ordered our concessions at the same time. When we arrived, we just provided our name to the concession staff and they swiftly brought our order. All groups in the theater are socially distanced adequately. Honestly seems safer than your everyday grocery store these days. I would have no concerns re-visiting this theater again in the near future. Just wish more quality films were coming to theaters to make it worth the trip.. read more

After not stepping into a movie theater for nearly 9 months, decided since it was a family tradition to catch a film. I highly recommend if your not part of AMC Stub Hubs to purchase your tickets through Groupon. Groupon prices save you move for matinee movies in comparison to theater prices. We bought tickets in advance for the 415 show of News of the World. A friends review made me it least feel comfortable, as I haven't been in this theater in over a decade. The check in process was simple, pulled up Groupon tickets, bar code scanned and we were on our way. My overall first COVID 19 movie theater experience was positive. The recliners were comfortable, there were less then 10 people in our theater that were spread out. The theaters were clean; but I do advise to dress weather appropriately, as the temperature was a bit chilly with reduce capacity. Working in a former theater, it was extremely strange to see the concession stand closed. I'm hoping once the pandemic is over that theaters on a whole can still survive. I definitely learned to enjoy streaming; but certain movies are better on the big screen, for the experience and concessions. read more

We took our four Grandchildren to see "WISH". The website said the theater opened at 11 and the movie showtime was noon. We arrived at 11:15 knowing the movie would be crowded. The doors were locked and did not open until 11:45. Therefore the concession line was very long. I saw only three employees and the two workers at the concession line were very slow and unorganized. I also recognized that they were not wearing gloves when handling food. Once we were seated and settled, we all enjoyed the comfortable seating and the 3D movie. read more

I'm sorry, but the recliner set up is really awkward here. It's fine if you have even numbers in your party, but someone's gonna be sharing a dual reclining chair with stranger if you have an odd number in your party. I much prefer Regal's individual seating, and definitely won't be coming here alone. I'm pretty sure Regal has a better slope, too, and definitely more screens and showings so you're less likely to be left with yucky seats for a popular film opening weekend. Also, the popcorn tastes weird, and I really don't like those newfangled coke machines. The syrups just don't taste as good, and all I want is a cherry coke anyway, but real cherry coke, not coke with that icky syrup added to it. That said, this theater wins for me on location (closer to home), and it does have great matinee prices and a better deal on Tuesday. Service is good. It's clean. The kids' snack packs are enclosed with handles so they're a bit easier to juggle than the trays at Regal. read more

I don't really go to the movie theaters anymore but when I do I usually come here! Especially during the week. It's very clean! They also offer military discounts after 4:30 PM. I'm not sure if I am the only person in the world that just loves movie theater popcorn with jalapeños!! But it's a must!! They also have really comfortable chairs that recline! The bathrooms are clean! If you're trying to avoid crowds during the week this is the perfect place to come to! read more

I came a few times to watch Boss Baby here and the first two days it was released the tickets were sold out upon walk in. I came back in the middle of week and it was all worth it. There is a large menu of snacks you eat during the movie and soda and drinks are self dispense. I ate a full meal before coming so I was full but at the same time I wanted something to drink and popcorn with cheese on the side. I got the kids meal which comes with popcorn, a kid size cup and a fruit snack and cheese was purchase separately, total came out around $9 something after taxes. In the each room there isn't much seats in each room but WHO DOESN"T LOVE RECLINING SEATS? They were very comfortable and the theater was very clean and I didn't notice any problem through out the movie. There is also a student discount but the AMC membership will problem be a bit better. read more

This location was the place to be about 8 years ago. Well it still is, but it no longer is the newly renovated theater. It's still clean, seats recline, organized and the customer service is great. What I would like to see here, that the AMC downtown Buffalo has is this. The recliners with the serving table, and a bar. Is that being petty? Probably..but I will still come here. read more

I came here last night with a friend. We saw Together Together. The movie was about a early 40's male who wanted to use a surrogate. I didn't read up on it well and thought it was a comedy. My friend thought the same thing too. I should've looked into it more. I had a great experience, otherwise. This was one of the first theaters to get reclining seats. It was a great way to watch the movie. Eventually other theaters followed suit. My friend bought a popcorn and I had a Diet Coke. The employee working at the counter was nice. Currently, they give you a cup, you hand it to an employee and the kid pours the pop for you. (It's probably because we're still in the Covid pandemic so there less people touching the same buttons.) This is a great spot for a theatre and I'll be back soon. read more

The movie theaters have finally opened again in WNY and my first experience back was a good one. We bought tickets in advance for the 8pm show, definitely the way to go since each showing can only have a maximum of 50 people in the theater. The concessions are a bit different too ... no more self serve soda machine, an employee will pour your choice of beverage for you. Also, l the butter pump is unavailable so tell them in advance if you want extra butter. The concessions also would not accept cash as payment, a slight inconvenience if you need change to pay your friend for the movie as I did. A small popcorn was $7.99 .... this seemed high even with expected price increase due to COVID. I might skip the concessions next time but I must say I never seen the theaters cleaner and I can get used to the movies not being crowded.... easier to focus on the film that way. read more

The theatre is a gem as you expect, yet there are things that take away from the overall quality of the theatre such as the theatre being short staffed often, having poor crowd/noise control, and equipment in the facility becoming aged and not functioning. Overall the screen and the showing was proper yet the theatre has some things to work on! read more

We've been to this AMC theater many times over the years, but not for some time. We just recently returned after the height of the pandemic-hiatus for theaters ended. This AMC has always been reserved seating only, with comfortable recliner chairs. Shows for popular movies sell out in advance, sometimes days in advance, so it is best to book your seats online ahead of time, or at least check on availability before you come in. Concessions include the usual high-priced popcorn, candy, and soda, with some additional offerings like nachos and pizza. They do also offer vegan chicken nuggets now, too. Overall we had a decent experience when our fam' of four recently came in for a Sunday matinee. The matinee pricing is a good deal, with tickets under ten bucks a piece. I do have to say though, the cleanliness of this theater was questionable during our recent visit. The floor was pretty sticky, even for movie theater standards. There was noticeable food spills and trash strewn around. The soda machine area counter, and the concession area counters were dirty. As far as I could tell, the staffing seemed adequate, there were actually several staffers just standing around. They seemed to be waiting for movies to end to clean the theaters between showings, but nobody was minding the cleanliness of the lobby, concessions, or bathrooms. The bathrooms were fairly ewwwe, too. The theater itself seemed okay. It is of course pretty dark in there, so who knows, but ignorance is bliss, I suppose. It is likely we'll still return to a movie here at this AMC from time to time, but hopefully the management will do a better job of making sure the theater is kept more tidy in the future. read more

Nice and comfy reclining seats. They also have a bonus arm that goes up if you want to cuddle and turn two chairs into a love seat. Also it is nice here you get to put your own butter on. This is my go-to movie place. It's comfortable, close by and convenient. This theater has a few luxuries that the other theaters (Elmwood, galleria) don't. You can add your own butter to your popcorn and the Coca Cola freestyle machine lets you fill up your own drinks. I also think the reclining seats here are more comfortable and cozy than the other theaters...you can lift the armrest to cuddle with bae if you're on a date. When I came here yesterday the temperature in the theater was perfect. A lot of the time the rooms at other theaters are too chilly. Sometimes if the person in front of you doesn't recline in their seat, their head will be in front of the screen and block your view but only just a little bit. read more

This might be my favourite movie theater in the area! I came here on Sunday afternoon to see a showing Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle (which was hilarious by the way) and fell in love with this place. Don't get me wrong, all movie theaters are garbage when it comes to food/drinks/candy as they are all insanely overpriced and a complete rip off (hence why I don't eat or drink while there). The building itself is a good size and and what I liked the most was that pretty much all the seats in our theater were even with the screen so you didn't get a sore neck from looking up. The other thing I liked was the seats, actually I loved the seats. The red fluffy leather is extremely comfortable to sit in and definitely outshine the ones at the local Regal Cinemas. With those things being said, this AMC is an excellent place to see a movie, so just go. read more

I really enjoy the seats at AMC and this is my go to theatre. At times, the ushers do a poor job of cleaning the seats as I have found popcorn or other items left behind from the previous movie goers. That aside, buying tickets, finding seats, and getting concessions is a seamless process. I will say I visit the regal in the Galleria mall and they have the comfortable seats as well. So, it's matter of convenience for me in terms of which theatre I choose. read more
