Visited the screening room for an event and what a gem this is. People always ask, what can I do in the Buffalo area that is different. Well here it is! This small business with a lot of heart welcomes groups and the public for film viewings (they are currently playing 'Love Actually') Everything from private viewings for your group to regularly ran movies of the owners choice. This place screams nostalgia and quaintness in the warmest of ways. It gives vibes of if I had a the funds to build a home theater and extend it to include a dining room and kitchen. Our group brought in pizza and salad that was great. The concessions were reasonably priced. The service was pleasant and attentive. We'll be back!

Came here with my husband recently and we both loved it. Very chill, laid back, seating is tables or couches which you can reserve online ahead of time. I love it.

This is a cool little gem to come check out! I have been here for music on Wednesdays, and events - this is a really cool little spot. Their concessions are reasonable and delicious! We will be back soon!

Wow! What a super place to host a private party, with or without a movie. For the first time ever, I went to the Screening Room last week for a private event. Check out the website. The current schedule will show some of the possibilities. Poetry reading. Music. Why not a reading for a play? Or standup comedy? Or A bridal shower or baby shower. Yeah! A baby shower with a showing of Three Men and a Baby. Or Look Who's talking. Well, I don't know what all possibilities exist for using this great venue. And neither will you until you call and ask. Or try it out. Attend any of the scheduled public events. See what you think about possibilities. They have pop, beer, water, and wine, popcorn, soft pretzels, ice cream (dish, float, sundae). I had a sundae when I was there. Large dish of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream... $6. Excellent. If you are looking for a neat and different idea for someone's birthday party... this is it. Or maybe for a fundraiser? But do check the schedule. Might be something you'd like to try on, see how it goes. I'm looking forward to another visit. Soon.

What a fun little spot to hang out! The gentleman who runs it was so warm and welcoming. The only complaint I have is that the seats aren't super comfy for long periods of sitting. Definitely looking forward to checking out other events at this place.

Concession area

The Screening Room provides a unique venue for many kinds of gatherings. On this date we attended an All Star Jam. There is a concession area. Service is walk up. Limited snack options too, as well as drinks.

Good selection for snacks and beverages. They also have different alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy! The popcorn was delicious. Try the pulp fizz if you like mimosas! Definitely a cute date night spot! Service was very quick!

If you are looking for a unique night out , look no further than this venue . It is not only a theatre playing throwback movies , they also do interactive performances, trivia nights , dinner and a show plus so much more . Snacks and beverages (alcohol too ) available for purchase . There isn't a place in the area quite like it , and it's gentle on the wallet too .

This is a really awesome venue to watch a movie. Tonight was my second time coming here. I came here with my mom to see Rear Window, which is a classic James Stewart film. Grace Kelly also stars in it. The movie is only $7, $6 if you're a senior citizen. You can buy popcorn after you purchase your ticket. (My bucket of popcorn was only $4.50!!!) You can also buy beer or wine by the glass, or wine by the bottle. The prices are reasonable. They have extra butter and other things to put on the popcorn. My mom and I were going to sit towards the back but we ended up moving to the front row. The chairs were really comfortable. They have tables in some of the spots too. There was relaxing jazz music playing before the lights were dimmed and the movie started. It's worth it to come here, just for the ambiance alone. I'm hoping to come back here soon.

I've been here a few times now, most recently for their Princess Bride screening and trivia night, previously for a play that my friend was in. I really love the space here, it's got cool vibes. But, it is not cut out to hold the number of people that showed up for the princess bride night. We were packed in like sardines! But I can't knock them for it, because the staff is so great and it's such a cool space. They showed the movie first, followed by trivia. They even did a little skit acting during trivia which was a nice touch. Things I love: -all the mismatched chairs in the screening room. It makes you feel like you're in a giant living room filled with friends. -their snack menu has ice cream floats! Like an old fashioned soda shop. -movies themed decor everywhere! It's so cute -great people working there and volunteering and acting They host screenings, trivia nights and have plays regularly and it's truly a unique experience.

Nice venue. I saw a speaker there and it was a comfortable space to listen to a talk. There are different seats to choose from like theater style, couches and regular kitchen type at tables. The room is spacious so you aren't sitting on top of one another. The entrance is welcoming with movie posters and other movie related paraphernalia on display. The bathrooms are a bit run down but clean. Parking is plentiful and located near the entrance. For the talk we also had a potluck and there was a separate room where the food could be set up on long tables for a buffet. It worked out really well.

I believe it was the owner who answered the phone, and took our reservation. He was so pleasant and even started a conversation because I have the same name as his sister. When we arrived, we were seated right away, our server came over and she fully explained the specials, brought us our drinks and was very helpful with every question we had with the menu. On Wednesdays they have half off appetizers, so we decided to try four different ones. We ordered the calamari, stuffed banana peppers, bang bang shrimp and fried mozzarella. Everything was so good! For dinner, I ordered the chicken Milanese with a side salad instead of having it as a sandwich, and my husband had the spaghetti with a single, giant meatball. They make their pasta homemade, and you can definitely tell! We finished off our meal with their molten lava cake and ice cream. I've only ever been to Lodge on the Green for brunch once, and that was an incredible experience. Now I can say that their brunch and dinner is absolutely exquisite and I would recommend this place to anyone!

It is a large open and airy room with darker wood floors, light walls and furniture and gorgeous crystal chandelier and snowflake accent lighting. The interior design is very modern and elegant with touches of Buffalo subtly added in. Great lighting, tons of parking and a huge bar. To the back of the room are doors which take you to a hallway that connects to the other businesses in the complex. Amanda, the event coordinator, was amazing to work with from start to finish. She was incredibly helpful, met with us multiple times to make sure all the details were worked out, and went above and beyond to make our event exactly what we wanted. We loved that we were able to customize so much of the space and make it feel like our own. Amanda also worked closely with our wedding coordinator to handle setup, which made the entire process so easy for us. We were even able to borrow some of Iron Works'/Amanda's personal décor, which saved us money and the headache of having to purchase everything ourselves. She also helped us design an image for the video wall, which was such a cool feature to have displayed on the stage! The vibe of the venue was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted more of a fun wedding celebration/party rather than a traditional wedding reception, and Iron Works was perfect for that. We did not have a sit-down dinner, and instead had plenty of food, drinks, dancing, and time for everyone to hang out. The vast majority of our guests really seemed to love this style of celebration. We also found that we spent less than we would have at a more traditional wedding venue, while still having an amazing and memorable event. The audio was another huge highlight. Props to the audio team! It was so cool having our wedding at a venue that is designed for music. We had a DJ, and the sound was incredible. I think Iron Works would be especially awesome for anyone considering a live band. The bar staff was also fantastic -- super attentive, quick with drinks, and just had great vibes throughout the night. We did a consumption bar, which was a really nice option and gave us some additional flexibility. Setup and breakdown were also incredibly easy for us. Amanda and our wedding coordinator handled everything, so we really didn't have to worry about the logistics. We were also able to leave some things behind and pick them up the next day, which was a huge help after a long night of celebrating. Overall, we are thrilled that we chose Iron Works for our reception. The flexibility, atmosphere, staff, and ability to customize everything made it such a great fit for the type of celebration we wanted. We would absolutely recommend Iron Works to anyone looking for a wedding venue that feels a little less traditional and a lot more like a party. We're already looking for reasons to plan another event there!

There is mostly standing room for the venue, with some tables on the main level and a small balcony level for tables. I think everything was still walk-up service at the bar for that night. I didn't get any food and only had water to drink (stay hydrated!), but it looked like a pretty expansive menu for drinks. I was a little wary about the immediate surrounding area, since the streets immediately around the venue were cobblestone. This made it kind of hard to walk, when it wasn't super well lit. I was also confused by the parking arrangement in the area, since it seemed like the garage had some access restriction and the parking around the backside of the building also had confusing signage. This is not a criticism of the business whatsoever, just an important note for the other aspects of your visit.
