This AMC is least busy of them all I think. Just like all the other locations, only thing is, it's never packed or sold out. If you like going to a theater where there isn't a butt load of people, and you're scrambling to find a seat, then this is the location you've been looking for.

These new seats have attached swivel tables! I found that so helpful, but I think it would be hard for larger people to get in and out I got a kids combo for myself. It really is a great value, and a perfect size. It came with popcorn, pop (from the fancy mixing machine) and fruit snacks. All that costed $7.50, a dollar less than a regular sized popcorn Although I loved the theater, cause it was new, clean and updated..... they were completely out of butter, regular sized cup lids were missing and no straws. Before we sat down and got comfortable I was irritated.

The lines were ridiculously long. There was one person checking tickets. That's not okay. They need more people in the front and at concessions. The theater itself was very nice and I was comfortable. I enjoyed my time there.

Such a confusing experience. Came in to see the matinee show at 3pm on a Wednesday. As expected, the theater was dead and we ended up being the only ones in the theater to see Mario. That being said, I don't understand why it took 10 minutes for the employees to scan our tickets in when there was literally no one else there. No one seemed to know what they were doing as they had us walk back and forth from concessions multiple times attempting to scan out tickets. They were not even communicating with us (the only customers on sight) and didn't say any actual words. They seemed to be very disorganized for an otherwise empty theater. I can say though, that the theater was clean, which as we know is a rarity for amc.

After about a couple years hiatus, (go figure), we just recently returned to some moviegoing. Market Arcade has all of the features we like, with reserved seating in reclining chairs and bargain matinees. And I've been an AMC Stubbs member for years, so why not start racking up some rewards points again. Parking here is like anything else downtown--it's a slog. We don't mind the $3 parking lot behind the theater. Three bucks is a good deal downtown. The theater has no rear entrance, so you have to walk around the block to the front doors. If you don't mind the $3 lot fee and the couple minutes of walking, it's okay. Buying tickets online for Market Arcade is easy on the AMC website. When you arrive at the front doors, to the left are kiosks where you can either pick up or purchase your tickets. Tickets are for reserved seating, so if you are heading down last-minute and it is a popular new movie, you may want to check online quick first for availability. The concession has all of the typical movie snacks of candy, popcorn, and soda, plus some additional food options like nachos, pizzas and burgers. There is also a full-service bar in this AMC. We haven't tried food or alcoholic drinks yet, but the popcorn, soda, and candy is what you'd expect, pricey but movie-glutton-goodness. I'm docking a star because we recently saw a movie and one of our recliner chairs was not operational. The movie theater was mostly empty, and when my husband and I tried to move a few seats, there were several more chairs that were not operational in the row. Two hours of peace in that comfy reclining chair is as, if not more important to me than the actual movie. Hopefully they fix the broken seats in the J-row of Theater One soon. If you are looking for a comfortable and fairly clean theater with expanded concession options and cushy reclining seats, Market Arcade 8 ticks all of those boxes. So on with the show, this is it!! :-D (NOTE: This business listing is a duplicate of this one - https://www.yelp.com/biz/amc-market-arcade-8-buffalo - Yelp, please merge.)

I went this past Sunday during the rainstorm in Buffalo so it wasn't too busy. Compared to other reviewers' experiences, mine was very streamlined and pleasant. I ordered my tickets on the Atom app, scanned my confirmation at the kiosk for AMC tickets, and was cleared by the usher at the entrance. I didn't visit the concessions but they had all your typical snacks at typical movie theater prices. Thoroughly enjoyed the heated recliners (I may or may not have fallen asleep through half my movie...). I saw a family bring in blankets too so I may just take a note from them and do that next time. Theater is in an awesome location with so many local eateries and right off of Fountain Plaza station.

I have always loved going downtown in the theater district and catching a movie. The AMC market arcade is clean and well-maintained. Most notably the fact that you can service your own drinks and prepare your own popcorn with butter flavoring gives you a unique opportunity to create the experience that you want. Their seats are comfortable clean and have a Chair side table which makes the experience even better each table has a cupholder so you can enjoy your movie without worrying about dropping finding sharing your popcorn etc. I went to the 12 PM matinee on Sunday for the movie Cabrini, which was amazing it seemed as though they were just opening up however, so the service was a bit slow. Bathrooms are clean. My only drawback is the fact that you cannot enter the theater from the back like you used to so you have to park and walk around through the theater district unless you find a spot on Main Street, which is virtually impossible, I will continue to patronize the AMC market arcade because I think it's important to keep our city vibrant and alive with theatrical culture supporting the arts etc. I can't wait to come back

It was my very first time here. The staff were friendly. Best thing: heated seats, keep it on low. It males you warm enough. I wish they had later show times. good thing to do is to have another plan for after movie. Lots of great bars around! There are many parking lots aroynd, but plan for some extra time to find a spot.

The heated seats recline and provide much comfort it's a great way to see a movie.Being a Stubs member you get extra benefits, like upgrades and free refills on large pop and popcorn, and even a free popcorn for your birthday month, invites to free movie screenings, and discount Tuesdays, it's well worth it to Join. They have all the latest movies to choose from,so come in pick your seats and enjoy. The location even has a bar if your in the mood for a drink.

I Love, with a capital L, the little tables on the recliners. I wish all of the local theaters would adopt them. It seems silly, but they are one of the main reasons this is my most frequented theaters... don't judge me. Lol. Where are they middle of the road? Cleanliness can be hit or miss. Some stuff is a little outdated, but I do believe they are working on that, there were new chairs going in recently. The food menu is hit or miss. I feel like out of all of the Regals that are in the area, they seem to not have what I am looking for most often, some of that is because I am here the most, but some of that seems to be an ordering issue or maybe Regal forces certain menu layouts even if a theater doesn't have those offerings... I am looking at you elusive Tandoori Popcorn. Last, but not least, is something I'll mention, but won't dock them any stars for, the location. I never personally feel uncomfortable here, solo or with company. I have had 2 partners that have said they would come with me, but not alone. I have also witnessed a couple of fights here. In this theaters defense, they can't help where they are located or who is around. In addition, they do a good job keeping security officers here, and I do believe they take customer safety seriously. Security seems to be responsive and I have seen them do everything from deescalate someone in the lobby, to deal with chatty/loud movie goers. Usually they are just a quiet presence and everything is smooth. There are less and less theaters in the area as time passes, I recommend supporting any theaters you can.

It has a somewhat strange, in my opinion, configuration with the stairs sort of winding around to get to the upper seats. Luckily we arrived before the (endless) coming attractions and commercials when the lights were still on. There was an entire 1/2 hour of commercials and coming attractions before the feature movie started. The theater loses a star for that 1/2 hour of commercials and terrible movie clips.

We went through check in, where you had to fork over a suggested donation (instead of the usual 22 dollars). They take card, though we gave cash, which seemed like an easier way to exercise the discount. They offered an extra paid section to opt into for an extra 8 dollar charge that we turned down, taking our tiny tags. They're dinky and reusable and gotta attach somewhere to your person. She had also given me a wristband for the strap of Duckles, which had to be checked by a second girl who warned me that I could not wear my knapsack on my back. Could make it a tummy sack or an elbow purse to avoid bumping things, which is how I ended up cradling a stuffed duck around the museum. We hadn't nabbed a map and thought we could wing it. There are qr codes scattered about for info beyond the placards and finding where you have landed. We lucked out and scored a paper map abandoned on one of the numerous benches (there's also chairs and pull out chairs hanging for your resting pleasure) that we attempted to read. My directionally challenged self asked one of the security to send us off to the bridge, given two choices of route. We dodged the scenic way for a temporary outdoor escape, passing more art. Popping back inside we absorbed even more subsets of time and genre, respecting drawn boundaries and only touching things that said we could. There were things that touched us, our souls, that we could take photos of. There were also bizarre things and a bit of nudity. It's all art, including the special presentations and live music and everyday artists sketching in the hall. There was an interactive exhibit in the main that we skipped in the name of rumbling tummies, though we didn't try the cafe. Also avoided the gift shop, cutting out as the crowd began to swell around 6. The place was impeccably clean despite the abundance of windows and smudge worthy doors. It was worth coming out, though I'm unsure how often the exhibits rotate. Come see an authentic famous few and many more that'll have you saying the Albright is pretty *alright*.

Tickets for this exhibition must be purchased separately and are valid for specific time slots. If there is a big crowd that day, wait a little and don't come from the beginning of your time slot (or figure this out by yourself). We had to leave and come back after a ridiculous experience. Waiting twenty minutes in line to see the actual installation for forty five seconds!? It was very confusing, and I believe there must be a different way to actually enjoy Kusama's work. We came back to see the second room with no wait, but still, with the forty five seconds rule. Ugh... Yes, let's loop if this is the only way which works. Don't forget, the general museum admission is free on the first Friday of the month, and I like that price.
