It set an impossibly high standard for every single one I've tried since! The flaky, buttery, caramelized layers were pure perfection. We didn't get a chance to try their savory menu offerings, but I can absolutely speak for the pastries - the others we tried were very good too, but that Kouign-Amann completely topped it off. We haven't been back since that trip, but I cannot wait to check them out again next time we visit Maui. If you're doing the early morning Haleakalā run, this is an absolute must-stop!
