We decided to search up a place nearby with good reviews and DiPiazza was our final decision. Only being 0.4 miles away from Westland mall we get there in three minutes. Once we get there we weren't sure if we made the right decision. The outside of this Italian restaurant looking dirty and old, as if no one ever visited this place. We then doubted ourselves, but still decided to give DiPiazza a chance. The outside structure of this place for sure fooled us. Once you walk in you're greeted by the sweet and smiling hostess, and then she walks us to our table. The ambience of this restaurant makes you feel as if you're in Italy, with black and white paintings of Italy during it's younger years. Instrumental folk music playing in the background and dim lights really proves their point of being an Italian restaurant. The colors of walls being red, white, and green representing the Italian flag.Our server comes to greet us with a smile on his face. The employees attitudes are so great that I believe they really enjoy working here. I ordered a personal cheese pizza, while my friend ordered the Ziti Alla Vodka Onion, Prosciutto, Vodka Cream Sauce pasta. The food took about 15 minutes to make which was perfect timing. Our server brought put six soft mouth watering garlic rolls with my pizza topped with oil then, he brought out the pizza in front of me and I'll tell you what it did not disappoint me my cheese pizza was gooey and fresh with a buttery, garlic crust. Three Jersey people finally found great pizza and Italian food in the Miami area. Bar pie for an app and it was good. Garlic knots are as good as the people say they are. Fresh garlic made them the best I've ever had. Chicken corleone for dinner...zucchini, mushrooms, artichokes, spinach, tomatoes and mozzarella over chicken and spaghetti in a light tomato sauce (could've been a white wine sauce with tomatoes). Delicious! Lasagna for dinner...meat lasagna that tasted like it was literally homemade. Delicious! Shrimp scampi for dinner... shrimp were a good size and there were plenty of them. I've been coming here for years and had always gotten a great experience. Last night I came here for a date night. What can I say, the service was horrible. I believe the girl that attended us was new just to be positive, but she knew exactly what she was doing and had a bad attitude. As we ordered we came with the intention for me to get lasagna and my bf pizza. When we ask for a small pizza she says they ran out.. weird that they can only make medium or large. Whatever we let it pass. We order the deluxe pizza and specifically tell her we don't want mushrooms on half the pizza and we want light onions and light green peppers. Mind you she isn't writing anything down and barely speaks English. When she came back with the pizza it had no mushrooms and half of it without sausages.. We send it back and still comes without sausage. At this point we were very aggravated since it had come wrong twice already and decided to get the check and leave. What a waste of money. I have been craving italian for weeks now and was excited to try an italian place near this area and I left disappointed. The food was decent but, lacked that true italian authenticity. The best dish was the fettuccine alfredo. Chicken parmigiana was good, just wished the breading was seasoned better. The spaghetti sauce was watery. The garlic rolls were really good when they first came out but, after only 5 minutes got hard. I ordered a cheese pizza and it had absolutely no sauce on it. Probably because the sauce is watery and they could've added way more. My biggest complaint was the service. Waited 20 minutes for the server to take our order, another 20 for a refill and another 15 mins for the check. Our server was inattentive and somewhat rude when asked a question. Overall opinion is Olive Garden is literally right next door and I should have just gone there. If I do oder here again I will just take it to go. read more

As far as mom and pop authentic Italian food goes, this is definitely my goto place. Not only is it located close to where I grew up, but it also has a laid-back and very homey feel to it. The food is always incredible, their beer pitchers are cheap, and their service is solid. I've never had a single complaint. The garlic rolls here are one of the best garlic rolls in South FL. The pasta is AMAZING! My favorite pasta dish is, hands down, the Baked Ziti. Be on the look out for their lunch specials. Came yesterday with my family (party of 5) and the whole bill, with beer included, came out to $70 and change. We all ate great, and even had enough food to take home. Very disappointed. I had been telling my son how great this place was and we went there for lunch. We got a 1/2 dz garlic roll, Stromboli and a Med pepperoni pizza- it cost $50. Everything was so burnt you couldn't eat it. The garlic rolls were so hard. The Stromboli crust was hard and the ends were completely empty- no cheese , no meat, no veggies. Food came in about 40 minutes. The pizza was awesome! Thin NY style slices, super flavorful and cheesy. My only suggestion would be for them to use one of those hot-bags to transport, as it wasn't hot at all. The garlic rolls were also really good. Fluffy and covered in minced garlic, perfect.
