Initially it was a great experience with good communication. We flew all the way across the country to move my son into his dorm last weekend and went to the unit and it was early but we paid for entire summer up front so we were going to just eat the money we paid for additional time. After moving our items we asked the gentlemen at the desk who was on his phone the entire time and looked like he has no idea what was going on, if we needed to do anything further as we are first time renters. He said NO YOURE ALL SET! come to find out we needed to fill out a form and because we didn't we got charged an additional $25. Very poor communication and this guy working that morning needs additional training on move out procedures. Really disappointed because we referred multiple people to this facility but will be now telling people not to go here and we will certainly find another storage unit for the coming years my son attends college. I sure hope it was worth the $25 turning a happy customer into a VERY unhappy one. read more

The Most Unprofessional, Scary Customer Service I have written many super "five-star" online reviews for many businesses around the world. I think I have written only a couple reviews that gave poor reviews. As a true Christian and someone who truly cares about helping others, I must write this online review on Dino's Storage in order to protect other innocent customers from the most terrible customer service. When I first leased a storage unit in 2018 from Dino's Storage (at 2725 2nd Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50309), I had no problem. In fact, I received great customer services from both their old local property manager and their headquarters representatives. So, when I needed a storage unit again, I went back to them. But, from the beginning, there was something wrong about the customer service I received from their new local property manager (Ms. LaSondra Carter). When I checked the storage unit over this last weekend, all my irreplaceable valuable personal belongings that I had in my storage unit were gone. I believe the local property manager (Ms LaSondra Carter) allowed my wife Thuy Nguyen (who wants divorce from me since she and her two daughters have gotten their U.S. green cards and do not need to be married to me any longer) to possibly illegally enter the building so that my wife can steal my personal belongings. So, on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 8:25 a.m., I called Dino's Storage headquarters and their customer service representative Ms. Amber answered my phone call. When I told Ms. Amber that I need to talk to the local property manager because something very wrong had happened, Ms. Amber was very unprofessional. I asked for the full, correct name of their local property manager, but Ms. Amber would only give the first name. I kindly told Ms. Amber that I needed to know the full names and their titles of their current corporate leaders in their headquarters because I may need to submit a very serious complaint to both their local management and headquarters leadership. But, Ms. Amber would not give me the public business information that I was asking for. Ms. Amber told me that the names and contact information of their headquarters' leaders on their current website were wrong. Since everything that I had in my storage unit had mysteriously disappeared, I told Ms. Amber that I needed to stop leasing my storage unit. Ms. Amber told me that I can stop my lease on their website's "Move Out Form." On Monday, August 9, 2021 at 8:51 a.m., I received an email confirmation that Dino's Storage got my online notice that I am moving out of their "Des Moines 2nd Ave" location. On Monday, August 9, 2021 at 9:19 a.m., Ms. LaSondra Carter left a threatening voice mail message, saying that she will call the police on me even though I did nothing wrong. When I arrived at the Dino's Storage on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 9:25 a.m., I was given verbal notice (in a threatening voice) by Ms. LaSondra Carter that I am banned from their property and that she has already called the police on me. As Ms. LaSondra Carter had stated, she did really call the Des Moines police and the police arrived at 9:40 a.m. (Monday, August 9, 2021). The following police officers arrived. Officer Mr. M. Dahlen and Officer Mr. L. Cianciaruso After the police officers talked to both Ms. LaSondra Carter and me, the police officers did not arrest me because I did nothing wrong. I do not know what Ms. LaSondra Carter told the police officers, but I think she might have lied to the police officers of what happened. When I asked Senior Officer Mr. M. Dahlen if Ms. LaSondra Carter can "kick" me off of the Dino's Storage property for any reason, he answered yes. So, I left the Dino's Storage property very disappointed. If you are thinking about leasing a storage unit from the Dino's Storage, please consider what I have truthfully stated here. If you are already leasing a storage unit from the Dino's Storage, watch out because they may wrongfully call the police on you for no good reason when you give move out notice and "kick" you off of their property even though you have paid for your unit and did nothing wrong. Had an "interview" set up to meet with Lashondra on 3/17, and to check out a unit. Upon walking in the door as I was adjusting my mask tightly, I was yelled at for not not having my mask on outside. The sign on the door said masks required inside. No big deal right? I continued to be grilled even while trying to tell her my name and contact info to the point I couldn't even say anything at all. I was then told rudely to leave without cause. All the while, my mask snuggly on my face. As I walked out the door, she made a comment about Trump, as I tried to ignore and escape. Definitely do not recommend this location. Hopefully the others are more polite. However I'll be choosing a different company completely. read more

I highly recommend Dino's Storage on 2nd Avenue! Reasonable rates. Very clean throughout the whole building. They leave out large, platform dollies for your use anytime. Very secure, key pad entry to the building using your own code. 24/7 access to your items. They even have a very clean bathroom open to use! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and fair. I will use them again. read more

So horrible. The company I work for rents two storage units here, and pays way ahead, a year at a time. Their customer service is so bad, we had a change of staff and our payment lapsed, and they didn't even notify us that our payment date was coming up or let us know the amount due. They just locked us out and wouldn't let us back in until the check was cashed at an out-of-state headquarters. I asked for an invoice and they want to charge you $2 to send an invoice of what is owed, or even $1 to email you the amount! Who does that?! We are trying to pay them! We are trying to give them money, and they are making it even more difficult. Plus when you call the phone number listed at the location, it send you straight to "headquarters" which is in Omaha and sounds like a woman working from home with kids screaming in the background. I've never had such a hard time giving someone money. read more
