This was our second time eating breakfast at this place. Good food and nice and friendly waitress!!

First of all, not a mask in sight. No servers, no owners, no guests. We wore ours whenever we left the table. Cameron was our stopping night between Colorado and Illinois but we'll Probably rethink this on the next trip. Hotels are run down, restaurants looked mediocre, gas stations are filthy. As for the diner, Took nearly ten minutes before we were even greeted and asked for drinks. Another 10 before our server came back to get our order. Food took over 40 minutes to arrive. Our original server was seen counting tips as we waited for food. She never came back the rest of the time we were there. Another sever came back and got refills ten minutes after we had ran out of drinks. The second sever brought us our food. Food was mediocre; fried chicken, that we knew would take 20 minutes, was dry and tough. Floor was filthy, chairs were ripped. A third server finally brought our check after we sat another ten minutes with stacked plates and empty cups. Two hours of our life and $65 we'll never get back. Do yourselves a favor and stop to eat in Kansas City. read more

The inside was surprisingly different from the outside. Food was okay, definitely not great. The waitress was nice enough but the gal at the checkout counter actually yawned and didn't bother making eye contact. I ordered the French onion soup and was disappointed when it arrived. No cheese or croutons ~ just a bunch of onions floating in brown broth with some go herbs that gave it a funny flavor. I had to spit out a couple little twigs! The gyros was okay, just was surprised to find so many black olives in it. read more

We absolutely love stopping by Dino's in Cameron, Mo. every time I we pass by. The food is all homemade and absolutely delicious! We always order the country omelette with burnt hash browns and the hash browns always come out perfect! Our waitress was super sweet too. It's just two minutes off of I35 you will NOT find another diner that's this good, and the coffee is oh so good. It's nice to been in a good old fashion town. read more

We have eaten here before and had a good experience. But last night we both had the chicken parmesan and the spaghetti and sauce were fine the chicken was so tough or old I couldn't eat it. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was our past experience. read more

Walleye Sandwich was good and seemed handmade in house -- irregularly shaped and hot and crispy batter. REally big bun, though; a lot of bread takes away from the main event inside the sandwich. I have to be slightly skeptical though, why would you take such effort to do a nice job on a fish sandwich on a fish not commercially native to northwest MO in the middle of the summer when you do such a poor job on the beef. I was extremely excited for an authentic diner Chicken Fried Steak. Turns out I got my hopes up for no reason. The CFS was obviously off the back of a commercial refrigerator truck and Identical to the same menu item at Denny's. It was a thin and processed meet patty coated in ultra-fine bread crumbs, just like the ones available at the bottom of the grocery store freezer. It was covered in gravy that had to have come from a powdered mix or from a pre-made bag. Not bad, just not authentic, not house-made and not good. Service was pleasant though not particularly attentive. I have waited tables and was never allowed to let water glasses and iced tea go empty. Never saw a tea refill while I was there. Bottom Line: Places that serve American fare alongside, Nachos Supreme, Gyros and Chicken Alfredo Pasta....probably doing just a couple things well (at best) and most other things by the Chef Sysco I know different places have different cultures but in KC, you are at least told the expectations about masking during the pandemic, up here there isn't even an acknowledgement that they know what masks are. I guess that's why COVID patients are coming to KC, hospitals up here are full. read more

Not much to look at from outside but service was excellent and food was great home cooking style tasting great and ample serving size for 2 to go boxes. Wife ordered meatloaf with steamed broccoli and carrots I ordered Ruben melt with egg drop chicken noodle soup both were very tasty. We live in Northeast Missouri always stop here when driving home from KC airport. The food is excellent across the menu and the handmade pies and cakes are a real treat. Service is efficient and friendly, restrooms pristine. Totally worth taking the detour into Cameron instead of finding a fast food joint by an exit. read more

Found this place by chance when we stopped on our way through town. Lots to choose from on the menu. Prices are good, and the service has always been excellent. Food is good too. We always get an appetizer of fried mushrooms. Delicious! Now we stop here every time we come through this area. read more

I would definitely come here again! The food was very good, and fresh. The side salad wasn't the best but I've had worse. It's something they should work on. Customers appreciate a decent side salad When you gut up a veggie in that many pieces you can afford to put 3-5 pieces in the damn thing Gillian was very polite and attentive. Stopped in on a Sunday evening for dinner, very busy. Giant tasty portions, very nice staff (thanks, Jennifer!) & many around us kept saying "I'm getting my usual" I had the pork tenderloin sandwich, very tender & crunchy breading. The food was delicious! The menu was large, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts. Our food came out piping hot, with plates almost overflowing. The staff was great as well. This is my first-ever negative review. We've been eating at Dino's the past 18 months, while visiting Dad at the Veterans Home here. The food is good. BUT...today my 91-year-old mom fell in the restaurant and NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE CAME TO HELP HER. Everyone in the restaurant saw the fall -- for some inexplicable reason, the booths are on a 6-inch platform so you have to step up to get in them -- when exiting, she missed the step. Another customer, a lovely man, helped me get her up on her feet. She then sat on a bench for another 10 minutes to catch her breath and NO ONE who worked there asked if she needed anything. When we went to the car we decided she needed an ice pack for her hip and elbow, which took the brunt of the fall. My friend went back in to ask for some ice and the cashier asked if she was OK, so I know they saw her fall (she fell about 10 feet from the cashier). Certainly not what I expected from a small-town restaurant that advertises itself as a "family" restaurant. read more

Our waitress was nice, and the food was decent. However, when I checked out, the lady at the register was extremely rude. She had her cell phone sitting on the register and never even looked up from her phone, she didn't say a word, just stuck her hand out for my money, and after she was done running my card handed it to another person standing at the register, because she still hadn't bothered to look up from her phone, let alone ask how my meal was or any form of nicety. When I told her how rude she was being, she decided to tell me that she had worked a long day. Well, so had I. But I could at least get off my phone long enough for a human interaction. I asked her for the manager, she said she was the manager...but she refused to give me her name. So I asked another waitress nearby. Her name is Buka. And apparently her parents own the restaurant, which is clearly how she has been given her manager position. Based on her performance this evening, I'm certain she didn't earn it. The diner has a bad reputation in town about how they treat their employees. I truly wish I had eaten somewhere else instead of trying to support the local place. read more

Nice comfortable, homey place! Lots of local folks here on a Sunday morning. Solid diner items on the menu. Got their Ultimate Omelette Special. The swirl rye toast was spot on. The hash browns were crispy, crunchy on the outside and edges, but soft and hot in the center. Asked for them to hold the green peppers on the Omelette and they did. Very good food in Cameron! They have a wide variety of delicious-looking items on the menu. I was torn between the specialty skillets and 3 egg omelettes! But, I went for a lunch item, the Turkey Roll. I was thrilled with this dish. The roll had a ton of turkey, no skimping. There were sautéed onions, peppers and tomatoes with melted mozzarella cheese. The wrap is grilled perfectly! The fries were crispy and everything hot! Definitely recommend, I need to check out breakfast next time! read more

HUGE tasty portions. We thuroughly enjoyed the beef roll. The meat was savory, tender and perfectly seasoned with a lightly grilled wrap. It took almost a half hour to be seated as we watched all of the locals get sat before us. The food was awful... the servers were very kind. I love small town, family owned diners. The creamy soup, looked like a bowl of jello and tasted even worse. The chicken salad sandwich, looked like they opened a can of cat food and dumped it on a cold Croissant. Actually I would rate the diner @ 2.5. Food = 2 stars, Waitresses = 3 stars All the food was cold and coffee just warm not hot!! My husband ordered the Farmer's omelette which was warm, but hash browns were hot. I ordered biscuits & sausage gravy which was cold and my over medium eggs were just barely warm. Flavor of food was average. You couldn't drink the warm coffee fast enough before it turned cold. Absolutely awful! We came in no one even greeted us. We had to ask was someone in our section? The food was awful he had the meatloaf that was dry not taste. I had a pancake and sausage link um pancake was tuff and sausage links were crap ! We never had a server we were very disappointed! After a long day of travel my family was just looking for a nice place to sit down and have good food. We were not expecting the amazing service we got while in the small town of Cameron, MO. We were greeted with a smile by every employee and sat very quickly. Our waitress was polite the entire time and constantly made sure that we had everything we needed. I had the veggie scramble that was very delicious. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and the vegetables had great flavor. My parents both had hamburgers and said they were delicious and very filling! We didn't have room for dessert, but from hearing others in the booths near us being sad that certain pies were sold out from the morning crowd I can only imagine the home made pies are great too! If I am ever stopping in Cameron again I will definitely eat at Dino's Diner! read more
