She takes care while detangling your hair, she does not rip through or cause breakage. It's great. Timeliness 10/10 - I never had to wait between and of the hair care steps. Results 10/10 - I got my hair straightened with a bit of a curl to add layers and movement. The curls lasted for an entire week and I worked out a few times. The roots got a little frizzy from sweat but no hair dresser can prevent that! Little things: keeping you dry with a nice microfiber cloth at the base of your neck after deep condition!!! Good conversation. She seems like a genuinely decent human being. Which is always nice lol Even the location is great. I cannot overstate how happy I am with this salon. I will be returning! I've been with Dino Palmieri when they were at Chapel Hill Mall before closing it there and that was from 1999 to 2000. I'm still with the same stylist that has done my hair at Summit Mall. Kellie Saxon is the best when it comes to ethnic hair. She understands the texture and color that will work with your hair and what will help it. She listens to what you want in your hair style. When I first went to her, I had concerns about my premature graying that I had since at the age of 12. I wanted to keep my natural highlights that are red and that my hair was a virgin to any kind of products like color and perm chemicals. Plus I am Asian. The process that she did to my hair took close to 2 hours because of the length and being it my first color job. The out come was great. I love her to this day and still go to her when it is needed. The salon is located left of The Starbucks from the center of the mall coming from the food court and across from The Build the Bear store where you can hear chants and screams of little girls attending a birthday party. The salon is clean and neat. Customer service is great. They offer water, tea, coffee and I think maybe wine? Don't quote me on that. The cost of the hair coloring and cut depends on who you go to. Kellie Saxon is the Senior stylist there which means that she took more classes, knows her trade, knows techniques and styles and at the end means $$$. All of the stylist are certified and well recommended. Plus if you received a bad color job from another company and you don't want to go back to them, go as a walk-in and ask if someone can try to fix it to be normal. There is no harm in asking for a second opinion. In the end no matter where she is I will follow my stylist even if I have to travel across the world to have my hair colored right. read more

I have been apprehensive to get my hair colored since Covid hit. I haven't got my hair colored or cut since 2019!! (Except for a very poor attempt at cutting my own hair over the summer in quarantine...) My roots were nearly to my chin, and I knew I was in desperate need of a change. Sam was very understanding of the lapse of time since my last visit and made me feel at ease. Sam is so sweet and genuine! Sam worked wonders and seamlessly transitioned my awful dark roots into the beautiful shade of bright ashy-blonde that I was so used to having!! She took so much time and care with my hair, I really appreciate her genuine attention to detail. She understood the specific tone, shade, and color of blonde that I wanted: ashy, let still bright. I was able to completely relax and let her do my hair, having full-comfort in knowing she would be able to work the miracle that was needed! She cut just enough to let me keep my length, while removing all the dead to make my hair healthy. It seems so thick and manageable now! (It was to my waist, longer than it's ever been in my life!!! I would sometimes accidentally tuck it into my pants!!) I recommend Sam to anyone, especially any blondes! She is truly genuine and so talented. Carrie was so helpful and accommodating. I was coming in walking with crutches and she was so helpful in assisting me. It's so nice to be greeted with such a warm smile and friendly face. She is always so kind and caring. I've been going to Dino Palmieri @ Summit Mall for a lot of years now. Melodie is the best stylist there. The atmosphere there is so great. All of the people that work there are super friendly. Melodie is an amazing stylist with my thick out of control (at times) hair. The different styles and colors that she has convinced me would be great over the years have always been just what she said....GREAT! Was just there last week and had layers added to my hair and colored it Burgundy. It looks fabulous and I have gotten tons of compliments. Dino Palmieri @ Summit Mall is worth the trip and money. I live in an area of Cleveland with several trendy salons nearby. After years of overpriced and mediocre haircuts and rude reception staff, I decided to go to Jenn Kidd at Dino Palmieri in Fairlawn. It is worth the hour-long drive, because my cut and color are perfect every single time. Jenn knows that I need to look fairly conservative due to my profession, and that I am too busy to fuss with my hair in the morning. I generally allow her to decide what to do to my hair, and it always looks professional, yet very chic, and she cuts it in such a way that it is easy for me to style. I have lived in Honolulu, HI and San Diego, CA and the best salon in the U.S. (not just Mainland!) is Dino Palmieri at Summit. I have fine hair and very few stylists understand what that means. Melodie not only understands how my hair will (or won't ) cooperate with any particular cut, but she was able to "repair" my color. The salon is fun, the stylists are witty AND professional and I look forward to my visits there like some people look forward to their weekends with their college roommates. I have lived in Akron, OH, Milwaukee, WI, and currently in Lexington, KY. and I still go back to see Melodie at Dino Palmieri in Summit to get my hair cut. Melodie does an amazing job with my hair. She always knows exactly how to cut or color my hair and yet makes it so I can easily maintain it. The staff is super courteous and friendly, very easy to talk to. I too went here as a walk in about 10 years ago and have followed my stylist, Tyrell Kendrick, since. The reception desk is friendly and I'm offered a variety of beverages while I wait. Their selection of products is limited, which may be a negative for some. I would consider the price to be mid-range, but you get what you pay for. The staff is highly trained and are current with their trends. I highly recommend Tyrell Kendrick. I'm a white female. For years he has done a superb job. He has a way of bringing out my best features and keeping my hair trendy. He's amazing. read more

My hair is usually very long, but due to a bad haircut somewhere else, I ended up cutting it myself short. I wanted layers, but because my hair was short I wasn't sure how I wanted the layers, I just told Kat that I wanted layers in my hair and to make it look cute and youthful; other than that I really didn't know what else to tell her. Jenn is AWESOME! She takes care of both my son (who has curly/wavy hair) and did an ombré treatment on my hair that turned out GORGEOUS. I was surprised to find such a nice location in a mall. In two visits Sam was able to give me what I have been asking other stylist for 10 years. She takes feedback (good or bad) and uses this to perfect her craft! She genuinely cares about her clients (she let me vent and cry in her chair today as this was the first human contact outside of my family in 3 months) and didn't rush into doing my hair. Jenn Kidd has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now and if one thinks that she isn't a "rock star" stylist, then one has never had his hair cut by her. The things she can do are miraculous. In fact, I don't refer to her as my stylist, I refer to her as my miracle worker. The salon itself is nice for a mall location and the recent renovation was a welcome face-lift. It was just for Easter. I would never recommend they are now falling out because they were put in too tight. Warning Lauren did this. I'm not upset. I am shocked. I'm a professional that works for the state and I could never imagine walking into work like this. I told her several times do not die Any of my extensions ,is very important that you have a hairdresser that listens this did not happen!!! I only ask of the public to be aware of a community place like that if you're spending a lot of money on extensions pay the extra money go , OK for a haircut or you know hair dye with regular hair but extensions you have to really know what you're doing and she did not and I have to pay for it. Thousands of dollars which is not fair. please never get your extensions done by Sarah. I'm in shock that she died a piece of my hair that bled through all my platinum blonde hair when I literally bought burgundy k tips , Why would you die a piece of them especially that color I feel like this was done very unfair. My Attorny will be contacting this company for the rookie move . And the K tips were put in so tight. They're literally falling out by the root !!!!!!! I don't ever want anyone else to have to go through this!! To say the least the I'm appalled! It's very important that the person that is doing this kind of upscale Work listens to what you want and actually knows what they're doing!

However, my last two haircuts were uneven and grew out poorly, and my most recent visit with my 11-year-old daughter was entirely unacceptable. During our appointment, my stylist heavily lectured my daughter about heat styling and using heat spray, making passive-aggressive comments about how her own mother never taught her these things so she had to teach my daughter--all while I was standing right there. It felt incredibly disrespectful and intrusive, and it made my daughter very uncomfortable. Furthermore, the stylist made an offensive comment to us about how she "refuses to cut anyone's hair if it's too damaged" because of "where she is in her career." My daughter and I prefer to keep our hair long and don't get frequent cuts, and being judged or shamed for our hair condition by a professional we've trusted for years was highly disappointing. To make matters worse, the salon environment felt completely unmanaged. Another client and his mother were allowed to hover closely around my daughter. Despite her being visibly upset and uncomfortable, the other stylists simply brushed it off saying, "Oh, he won't touch you," instead of respecting her personal space or intervening. After ten years of loyalty, the drop in technical quality and the complete lack of professional boundaries and awareness during this last visit means we will not be returning.

Aerial corrected the haircut and has been taking care of my hair ever since along with my son and my daughter. She's great at cutting curly hair. She also is quite talented at color technique. I highly recommend this salon has a great atmosphere and really works with the clients.

I loved looking at the girls (hair stylists)outfits, their hairstyles, make up and the cool clothes/shoes that they wore. It was a huge selling point for all of us. But now I walk into salons (including this one) and these ladies look terrible. No hairstyles anyone would dare want, no make up, clothes are trashy, and some look like they slept in their cars. It just scares me to have someone who looks like this, cut or color my hair! and if I'm not sure what color I should do my hair or what style 8 should have, Id have a hard time taking advice from someone who doesn't even do their own. Just my opinion.
