Worst place never. Paid over 360 for bayalage but only got 1 color They refused to fix it. I had to go to Sally and fix it myself. Melissa tried to put color in my already dark hair then washed the top darker color out at the same time making the little color she did try to out wash right out. read more

If you can get onto Julia's calendar, do! She's a really sweet person and great nail tech. One of the best pedicures and gel manicures I've ever had. Nolas is one of those places where it's expensive, but worth every penny. I can't recommend Julia more highly. A+ read more

Nola's is SO wonderful!! I've sat with both Vivian and Brooke many times for mani/ pedi's and they are the best nail technicians I've ever been to! I can't wait to come here any time I have an appointment on the books and catch up with the girls. Also, the gal at front desk ( so sorry I can't recall name) with beautiful pink hair is the sweetest!! She always helps accommodate my crazy schedule with kiddos, and get me in for mani &pedicures. She would even help me plan out gift cards for my mother in law! (Who also loves this place! ) I am absolutely obsessed with the vinyl lux polish that they offer ( it lasts on my nails forever without destroying them)- I only wish they offered some more colors in this fantastic polish! I took my teenage daughter here to get a trim and layers and did not have a great experience. She got into the chair right away cause there was pretty much no one else there. There was no offer to wash hair, was a dry cut. Which is fine, but I just thought that would be done, but maybe I'm wrong. My daughter had multiple pictures of the haircut she wanted. Layers in the back, blended layers in the front with curtain bangs. What she got was a straight cut in the back and a hack job in the front. Uneven and nothing blended- just hard cuts. And she didn't bother to style it at all. It was one of the worst cuts I have ever seen Almost $50 with tip and I feel like we could have gotten her a better cut anywhere else. We used to love to come to this place, but the stylist that we used to see has left. I tried to get my daughter to give me an honest opinion of what she thought of her hair before we left (cause I knew it looked bad), but she either didn't realize it until we got home or was too upset/nervous to speak up. I would call and speak with the salon, but I don't have the confidence that they'd care or be able to fix it. My sister and her daughter tried getting cuts here a month or so ago (upon my recommendation) and had an even bigger nightmare of a time. So I don't know what's going on with this place, but we won't be back. I have a very upset daughter and have to figure out what to do for her. read more

I was in desperate need of a pedicure, and I was excited to try Nolas Salon. I'd visited there for a hair cut a few years ago and thought it would be a good idea to try it for something else. I was wrong. The technician was nice enough, but didn't seem very professional. The water was too hot for my feet and when I told her, she said I'd get used to it. I have very sensitive feet and I didn't "get used to it." She was rough when she was working on my feet and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The straw that broke the camel's back, though, was that the polish was not done well. She didn't go all the way up to the tip of the nail. I won't go back. read more

I needed a brow waxing while i was back home in Ohio and I was referred here by a friend who was getting a wax. I called around 2:52pm and was lucky enough to get a 3:30pm appointment. Prior to my appointment i checked yelp and Nola's has great reviews!! The receptionist on the phone was very polite and helpful! She was accommodating and booked me an appointment with ease. The salon is so beautiful and clean and everyone is friendly. It's in a great location. Nafisa was so quick and proficient. I love my brows. She made sure I had the exact look I wanted. Clean salon, inviting, big yet cozy at the same time. There is plenty of seating and it's comfortable! Coffee, water and snacks were out as well. I only was there for an eyebrow wax and they did a great job. Booked another! I also booked mani's for myself and bridesmaids and the owner was so kind at booking and explained everything to me. I come here to get my eyebrows done with Nephisa and she is truly an artist! I have been seeing her for 15 years and even moving to DC six years ago, I will not let anyone else touch my brows. I am flying home the week before my wedding just for her. I would recommend Nola's and Nephisa to anyone and everyone! My mother and I had an unexpected afternoon off, and wanted to have a spa day together. Nola's was able to fit us in for facials and mani-pedis with only a few hours notice. The staff was friendly and highly-skilled; we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, courtesy of Lisa, Shirley, Alicia and Bridgette. Prices are spa prices - this isn't a place I can get a regular manicure or eyebrow wax - but the quality of the service is totally worth the price. Fabulous experience! I just moved from cross country and have been to many salon's over the years and based on my one visit to Nolas they seem top notch. I got my eyebrows waxed and I ALWAYS get a little red an irritated afterwards. I am not entirely sure what Michelle did different, but I wasn't the least red and my brow line is great! I also got color with Lindsey. I was really nervous because I have an important event this week and I have very difficult hair to color. I love her! She not only identified the problem quickly, she came up with a fabulous short term and long term plan. My color looked fabulous when I left, even though it isn't yet to the ultimate color she wants to get it (LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it looks now already). She has great vision as a stylist and really read my personality and the look that I am going for. The cut she did is probably the best I have ever had. Both my husband and daughter got excited immediately when they saw me. While I was there, I saw several bridal parties getting their hair done and I was impressed with every one. The atmosphere is fantastic. Refreshing drinks, tea and coffee as well as snack are available throughout. While they may poor you a glass of wine when you sit down in a stylist chair in San Francisco, I never came out feeling like I got the attention and service like I did at Nolas, and I was NEVER this happy with the end result. I am going back later to this week to have them do my hair and makeup for a special event. So glad I found this salon! As for price, I am not the best judge yet as I am new to the area. It was in line with what I paid at other salons around the country and clearly cheaper than in certain parts of California. read more
