Pretty disappointed with the customer service. I called yesterday to make an appt to get an estimate on hail damage repair. I spoke with Seth and he said I can just come in anytime but there might be a little wait. I go in early this morning and I was told we can fit you in on July 11th. Basically, appt required. What? No. That's unacceptable to be told something different over the phone. All employees should be providing the same information to everyone! The guy at the counter with the slicked-back ponytail, didn't care about my time or what I was told but wanted to be sure I knew there was a $50 fee to do the estimate. He didn't try to make it right either or try to accommodate me in anyway. He did not apologize either for the "misinformation." That's what is so upsetting. He could care less and to me that is a reflection on the business as a whole. I am an existing customer also but not anymore. I won't return for any reason. read more

My new vehicle sustained "road debris" damage to the roof at the end of March that ended up chipping the paint and exposing metal in addition to leaving a nice-sized dent (thanks semi!). I took the vehicle to Dingman's for an estimate and wasn't really sure if extended new vehicle coverages and/or insurance would even cover this type of damage. I worked with Seth who put together the estimate and explained what all needed to be done; needless to say, I was overwhelmed by not only the time and work that would be involved but the cost to repair it. He helped to put me at ease and even helped initiate the contact with my insurance to inquire on whether or not I wanted to set up the claim, and when I did, they worked with the appointment for the adjuster to come out and to get the work done (the adjuster ended up assessing out a little bit more than estimated by Dingman's after looking at the damage and had even come out a day after the appointment had been scheduled, leaving me worried this would cause further delays in the work getting done - it didn't). Seth followed up with me each day to let me know the status of the vehicle during the repair, knowing I was anxious to get my vehicle back as soon as possible. My vehicle was promised back on a Wednesday; I got it back the day prior, and Seth personally provided transportation for me to get to the shop so I could pick up my vehicle. From start to finish, I was met with a handshake and friendly smile. Dingman's truly goes over and beyond for their customer. Oh, and the repair? Paint matches. No dent/scratches anymore. They were great from start to finish. Dan made the estimate process super easy! I ended up having a timeline crunch unexpectedly, as well as more damage than he initially thought; but they still got my car done in the timeframe he said, and showed me pictures of the internal damage before and after as well. The color match on a brand new vehicle was perfect, especially since there were metallics and pearls in the paint. I would gladly recommend them to anyone. My truck was hit by another driver in the front end which affected the wheel! They body work was excellent but the mechanical work subpar including the wheel which sticks out comparative to the other wheel! They refuse to fix it correctly! If I had a used vehicle that was worsened by an accident whose responsibility is it to fix it properly? I've used them before will not use them again! read more

Dingman's are not fast, neither are they cheap. If that's what you want look elsewhere. However if you want your car repair to be 100% perfect, as if your accident never even happened, these guys will do that for you. I've experienced less than perfect auto body repairs that have haunted me for the life of the car. These guys are total perfectionists. Kudos to the entire crew! read more

I was in an accident (of course) and had my car taken to Dingman's for repairs. They were amazing from the start, working with me, getting me estimates, insurance you name it. UNFORTUNATELY for me there were insurance issues and my repairs were going to be "self pay". Again they were AMAZING. Sat me down & after realizing my car didn't have all the stuff we thought it did came to conclusion it was better to just "junk" it verses repairing. I appreciated all their work & honesty in the matter. Some places would not have done that. This was not the first time I have had to have a vehicle repaired but hopefully will be the last. Years ago I took my car to Dingman's on the advice of a close friend, and when I got my car back it was perfect. Last month I took my current car in for repair. Dingman's called me regularly with progress up-dates. I knew from past experiences that my car would be 100% as new and I wasn't disappointed. I got my car back with the car washed, the interior vacuumed, and even the windows washed! I brought my vehicle to get the back panel replaced, they told me it would take 2 weeks to be replaced. When my car was supposed to be done I called them to see if I could pick it up, it was then when they told me it would take yet another week because they had the wrong part. So then after that week I called them again the Friday after and now they are saying that it would be done Monday, then Tuesday, etc. I FINALLY got my car back 1 month after I took it in. My car was finally repaired after one month, however they would not release my car to me because there was a dispute between my insurance company and unauthorized repairs. Dingmans is in the business of dealing insurance claims and repairs, I was not expecting to have to mitigate between my insurance company and Dingmans, while Dingmans held my car hostage. When we picked my car up they were VERY rude to my husband and myself. I know that Dingmans is supposed to be the #1 place in Omaha to go to but not sure I will take my car back there again. read more
