That Friday, she received her one and only update call letting her know "we will for sure have your vehicle through next week." No big deal, we have rental car coverage through insurance for up to $600 which equates to roughly a month. So based on the timeline of "through next week", we figured we were good to go. Unfortunately, "through next week" came and went. When my wife called for an update on September 27th, she was told her vehicle was going to paint "this next week." Okay, a little longer than we expected but we still had the rental. On Monday, October 7th, she received a notice from our insurance company that her rental coverage would expire on October 10th. When she called...again...to try to get an update, she was informed that her vehicle had not been sent to paint as she was told. Additionally, she was told that they were not sure when the vehicle would go to paint. We are now through 4 weeks and our rental car coverage is up, time to turn in the rental vehicle. My wife's vehicle is still not done. So, we are left to figure out how to manage transportation for two adults who have jobs and two children with activities with a single vehicle. Our new timetable is two more weeks, so six weeks in total and that is if they manage to hit this deadline. No apologies, nothing. Nothing more than "this is how long it normally takes." If 6 weeks was the original timeline, why were we not told that when we first dropped the vehicle off??? It's absurd. Here is the biggest problem: the communication has been absolutely horrible. No calls to give us updates, no "we are really sorry, this is taking longer than we initially told you", nothing, nada, zilch. At times we have called (late afternoon) and have been told we will receive an update in the morning. Crickets, no return calls, nothing. We asked if they could assist with either a loaner vehicle or additional rental car assistance and we were told that they wouldn't be able to help, and we had to figure it out on our own. Apparently, we are not alone either, as my wife was told there were others in the same boat as us. It may not be a problem to Dingman's, but it is a problem to us. Use this shop at your own risk because we had to learn the hard way.

She said she goes to grease monkey, but I went to Jiffy Lube because they were closer to my home. I really really really wish I would've went to grease monkey. Half of the things I needed I didn't get at Jiffy Lube because the price was already 125 just for the oil change alone. But I needed an air filter and one of my headlights was out. It would've been an additional 70+ dollars for the air filter and the headlight in addition to the 125 I paid for the oil change. Had I gone to grease monkey not only would I have saved on the oil change, but I would've gotten my headlight done for free. That's what happened today. The headlight itself cost five dollars at Walmart and when I got to grease monkey since I had the part myself, they literally changed my headlight for free. I haven't been able to drive after dark for two weeks, but they have taken a huge relief off my shoulders. Not only that they topped off my fluids and zip tied my bumper which was falling down in one area. Again, all for free. I really really really wish I would've went to them sooner because Alex, who is amazing for an 18-year-old, and Cadence were super friendly and very informative. Actually, everyone was but I wouldn't have been able to remember all of their names lol but I specifically wanted to shout out Alex and Cadence. They have a return customer going forward, and I'll be sure to thank my cousin for the recommendation. I'll also kick myself for not listening sooner lol

The second time took longer because it was difficult to diagnose the issue. They're upfront about their prices and the actual cost aligns with their estimate. The prices are also incredibly reasonable. It's rare to find honest people in any industry but it seems to be more prevalent in the auto industry. Tom and his wife seem to be business owners who genuinely want to do an honest days work for a fair price. This is the only place I will take my vehicle.

We had already paid for an inspection and it was diagnosed as a bad control arm. They repaired it at a cost of $1057 and it did not fix the issue. They called me to tell me it did not fix the issue and would need another $200 to dive deeper into it to figure out what it was. Complete incompetence by both the company and mechanic! I understand you are only as good as your workers are but for them to ask for another $200 because they had no idea what they were doing to begin with is crazy! I would not recommend any service at this shop!

I would not recommend Omaha Car Care based on my experience…read more I dropped my truck off on Thursday, but it wasn't even looked at until around midday Friday. Before leaving it with them, I explained to Mike exactly what the issue was. The fuel pickup needs to be replaced, and since the tank would already have to come down, I asked him to replace the fuel pump at the same time and do an oil change. I specifically told Mike that my truck will only allow me to use about 3-4 gallons of fuel before it won't start anymore. Instead of actually diagnosing that issue, he simply let my truck idle for roughly 8 hours and then told me everything was fine. He also claimed he put a scope into my fuel tank and said it was "rusted." This is an Arizona truck that has been in Nebraska for less than a year, so that claim makes very little sense. The most frustrating part was when I asked if he had removed fuel from the tank to see if the truck would stop running once it got below the 3-4 gallon threshold I had described. His response was, "Oh, I guess I could've done that." That should have been one of the first diagnostic steps. To top it all off, he said my truck has a lower-end engine knock and claimed that prevented him from doing the oil change. I left feeling like the actual issue I brought the truck in for was never properly diagnosed. The only positive thing I can say is that they didn't charge me for the service. However, I still lost time, got no answers, and now have to take my truck somewhere else to have the problem diagnosed correctly. I won't be returning.

We live in MN and after packing up our suv at the Omaha hotel to head back home, somehow the auto start push button was stuck pressed down. This hero answered my phone call, while out running errands and said he'd swing on by. He not only very quickly and inexpensively dismantled it in a hotel parking lot he made it so we were able to drive the 6+ hours home without a worry.
