My 2024 Honda sustained pretty heavy hail damage while driving home during the April 24, 2025, hailstorm (the one with the car and dumpster floating down Saddle Creek near Dingman's ironically). I put in a claim right away and Dingman's was my first choice to call since they've been around a long time and have a good reputation. They were of course very busy and backed up but I did get an appt for about 2 months later. My vehicle was in the shop for about a month but they were very good about keeping me updated and working with my insurance company. The estimate ended up being higher than anticipated once they got in and started working on it but they handled all the details with the insurance so I didn't have to - all I paid was my deductible as expected. I'm sad this happened but thanks to Dingman's, my car looks new again. read more

From the first time, I walked in the door to when I left with my vehicle repaired I received excellent service. PJ Harding gave me a detailed estimate with full explanation of all the repairs needed and worked with my insurance company. I was kept informed of the progress and was very pleased with the completed repairs. They even buffed out some scratches that were not part of the damage and did not charge me. I have since worked with them on a couple of occasions for different things and I am always extremely satisfied with them. They are professional, very polite and very reasonable. I'm incredibly disappointed in my experience at Dingman's Collision Center. First off, I brought the car in on Dec.13th, and I was told it would take a week to repair. After a week, I never heard from them, so I called to inquire about the timeline. Keep in mind; this is my only mode of transportation. Dan Brake, the lead estimator, told me he was waiting on a part. It should take a day or two to come in. A week later, the day before Christmas, as I'm boarding a flight, I get a call notifying me that my car is finally ready. I informed them I wouldn't be able to pick it up until after the holidays because I'm travelling. Fast forward to Dec. 27th, I arrive to pick up my vehicle. Red flag No. 1: Dan hands me the keys and tells me where it's parked. I found that odd because a company with excellent customer service, as they claim to be, would drive the car upfront to the customer and inspect the vehicle with them before they drive off. That's just standard practice. That never happened. Red flag No. 2: I inspect the car, and shortly after driving off, I notice my front LED light is out on my vehicle. It was working when I dropped it off but is now out. I immediately returned to point this out to Dan Brake; the lead estimator said I forgot to tell you that one of his guys, as they were repairing your front bumper, which entailed removing the light, discovered your light was out. I said, "Okay. So, you all didn't think that was important to tell me?" Dan replied I didn't think that was something you wanted to address, based on our previous conversation addressing other cosmetic issues with the car. I replied, "Why would I bring my car here to be repaired only to leave with more repairs?" That doesn't make any sense to me. Incredibly a front light was out. Dan was rude, unprofessional, and not a standup guy. I do not recommend getting your vehicle serviced here. He did not even care I was unsatisfied with their services. So, here I am, left with a broken light with no attempts made by this company to fix it. Thank you, Dingman's for living up to your motto: "We would rather be the best than apologize for anything less." Excellent paint/repair done on the bumper of my car. After comparing quotes from other shops in the area, Dingman's was the cheapest. They are incredibly flexible with drop off/pick up times. Not only was my car as good as new after their service, the staff at Dingman's went the extra mile and had the interior/exterior of my car clean and spotless upon pick-up. I went there to inquire about a claim for an accident and got the most rude response from the front office staff i have ever received. It was close to 5pm and the owner/manager was apparently in such a hurry that he was rude and condescending. I got the distinct impression that my business was not wanted and that he had better things to do. There are a lot of options for service and body repair. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Never told me my minor repair would take multiple days...replacing a tail light and minor paint work should not take multiple days. When I dropped my car off I asked "about what TIME do you think this will be done?" And the employees responded " I will call you". Now if I asked what TIME doesn't that sound like a same day repair???? The correct response might have been " this is a multiple day repair" then I could of made arrangements for a rental car. When I called around lunch time to see how the repair was going the person responded RUDELY with "I told you I would call you". My car was there for 5 hours and they hadn't even started it. No wonder it's going to take multiple days. Probably the rudest I've ever been treated and a total lack of communication. I waited a month for my appointment only to totally waste my time. read more

I've been to Dingman's twice now, and I'm always impressed with how kind they. I went there for an estimate on a hood that was smashed and not locking right, and rather than take advantage of a 20-something female, the guy was great and said the repair really wouldn't be worth it and greased up my locking mechanism. It worked for another 4 years just great til I sold the car. He didn't charge me a dime, and I really appreciated the advice. Went again today for a license plate bolt that had broken off, making it impossible to hang plates there. The guy that helped was crazy nice (once again not taking advantage of the unsuspecting 8 month pregnant female) gave me a really reasonable quote and got it fixed for me. read more

Dingman's did a great job fixing my bumper. I'm not sure about price as it was covered by the other guy's insurance. I didn't have to deal with the insurance company after setting the estimate appointment. They even handled getting me the rental car. HOWEVER, the repair took 2 days longer than I was told. This didn't affect me too much as I wasn't paying for the rental, but it seems a bit much that I was told it would take 2 days and it took 4. read more

1st - I was told they had to push back my repair after I dropped off my car and picked up a rental car. 2nd - My repairs were delayed 3 times and was never informed. It's a good thing I called ahead each time. 3rd - I had an additional part ordered and they ordered the wrong part, which was also delayed and I was not informed, and I'm still waiting on the part with now timeline of when it will arrive. 3 strikes and you're out in my book. I as m very disappointed. I had my truck's hail damage repaired. Over $10300 in repairs that were completed September 2017. They advertise they fix your vehicle to manufacturers spec's. They had both of the front doors apart to repair them. Now as of October 2018 both front doors are rusting at the bottom. I took my vehicle back to them. They will not fix the rust even if I were to pay for the repair. I was told it is not worth their time. After spending over $10300 you wouldn't think there would be rust after 1 year. I believe they cut corners to get the vehicle done as cheap as possible to get the most profit. I am very disappointed. I do not recommend them at all. read more

We had a minor fender bender on a car that was less than a year old. Off the car dealer's recommendation, we took it to Dingman's. I severely regret doing so. The quote came in higher than everyone else's, but we thought the quality would make up for it. They didn't get the car into their shop for almost 2 months, and once it did get in, it took a week to repair it. (After the fact, I got an opinion from a competitor, and most other shops would have gotten the car in within 2 weeks and it would have been done in 3 days.) They were informed that this repair would be done out of pocket. The final bill ended up being 3 times what the quote was. This is somewhat understandable, as most body shops don't know what all needs to be repaired until after the car has had some disassembly. Fearing this was a shop that took advantage of customers, by either gender profiling them or because of an out of pocket payment, I did some investigation. I Googled all the parts that they bought new, and they were on average $542.15 more than what I could find online (3 separate OEM sources). I knew calling about it wouldn't get me my money back, but I wanted a little bit of an explanation. I called and got an estimator named Gary on the phone. He was EXTREMELY rude to me, and questioned my motives for calling. He acted disgusted that I was wasting his time calling in. He made numerous excuses to try to justify the company's actions. He had an insulting tone, asking why I even wanted to waste my time calling in to go over parts. I informed him that because of the way he treated me on the phone, I would go out of my way to tell people to avoid Dingman's. I said Iwould give them bad reviews wherever I could, and I would not speak highly of them on any social media platform. He almost sounded pleased when he told me 'if that's your prerogative, go right ahead.' In conclusion, please avoid Dingman's at all costs. I would give them negative stars if I could. I feel like they price gouged a customer once they found out they were paying out of pocket instead of going through insurance. And when questioned about prices, they were rude, short, and demeaning to the customer over the phone. Literally, any option in Omaha would be better. read more

Ruuunnnn.....as fast as you can. I had gravel damage to my 750 li BMW. Initially told it would be 10 days. Giving them the benefit of the doubt they did have problems getting parts....but...they had my vehicle for 66 days....no major body damage. They kept telling me they want to make sure the car is perfect before they let me pick it up. When I arrived to get it, the car was a smeary mess from detail spray and it was dusk. I was appalled and sickened when I got the car washed and cleaned and was able to see the terrible job they did on my 2 year old bmw. There were scratches and swirl marks all over the entire car. You could see the fish eyes on the front corner panelwhere it was not primed correctly and repainted. They cracked the paint that was just repainted when putting in the sidemarkers. The roof trim not put on correctly, all uneven. The hood put on unevenly. There was flaws in the new paint on the hood, a scratch on the front quarter panel that was just repainted. They missed some places that were supposed to be touched up on the doors and the spots they did touch up stand out like a sore thumb. The cameras and lane departures are not working and to top it all off, there was damage to my rear bumper that was not there when I dropped it off. The total charges were over $19000 and my car in worse condition then before I took it to them. Dan Brake pretty much blew me off and said...we can fix all this with a good detail job! He told me I was over reacting. WHAT....he really insulted my intelligence. I had also requested Andy Dingman and his father to meet with me to go over all the damage and they were no where to be found and had no interest in talking to me. I am not making this up. I took my car to 2 other shops to get opinions on the work done and both facilities could not believe the condition of my vehicle. My insurance company wanted me to give dingmans the chance to fix the problems. Are you kidding. I would not let them ever touch my car again and I highly recommend that any one thinking of using them to run. Now Im waiting for my insurance to assess the damage so I can get it repaired correctly. I am not sure how dingmans has developed the reputation they have as I have never seen such inferior work. I could have done a better job fixing it in my garage. They need to be taken off the State Farm preferred body shop. If you have an expensive vehicle do NOT trust your car in their hands, they apparently are not experienced in repairing high end vehicles. read more

Went in for a quote on a paint job and they didn't even want the job. I told them I would be paying for it myself. Apparently Dingman's is getting so big that they can turn down business, or they just want insurance jobs. They never even offered another option or a referral. Luckily I found a bodyshop that was willing to take the work. I would not recommend dingman's to anyone. read more

I have had to visit Dingman's (midtown) a couple of times in the last year. They were extremely friendly, helpful and fast, and their workmanship is outstanding. When I was involved in a hit-and-run last fall, they made it relatively painless, coordinated my rental car so that it was delivered to their business (so I could do everything in one stop) and delivered ahead of schedule. The work was perfect. Today I took my car over because I had accidentally side-swiped my right front fender against an object, and had a big white scuff. I wasn't sure if it was something that could be buffed out or if actual damage had been done, and I would need to file a claim. I was going to set up an appointment to have someone take a quick look at it, but they took it right away and in about 10 minutes had it looking like nothing had happened!! Even better, they did it and didn't charge me anything! I can't recommend this business highly enough. They truly deserve 5 stars!! Terrible customer service. Took my car in for an estimate, they took pictures said it was going to be a certain price. Everything up to then was fair... But when I actually took the car in to be repaired, they called me back the next day saying that they had already started working on it, but that it was going to be several hundred dollars more. I feel like it was very unprofessional the way they handled their business and the man who called me back on the phone was very rude about the entire situation and treated me like a second class customer. When I told them I was going to write this review and take the car down the street to another shop they immediately changed their minds and tried getting us to keep the car with them.
