I rented from the downtown enterprise as you can avoid airport taxes at this location. The vehicle that I received as a 'free' upgrade had 52,000 miles on it was in a little shaky condition. I was Just happy to have a vehicle so that I could make a quick round-trip to see a family member with health issues. The vehicle underwent extensive inspections, I was actually surprised how long it took compared to what it you normally do when you get a car at the airport. We had a conversation about the condition of the car because it had a cracked front end on the bumper. Upon return I was informed by the manager trainee that there were other cracks on the bumper and I would be responsible. After a lengthy discussion with the manager, they finally let it go when they were able to verify with the original inspector that the issue was pre-existing ,but it sure did leave a sour taste in my mouth, given that the exception had been identified prior to my departure. My only recommendation about this location is if you rent make sure you have everything is documented and you're clear on any exceptions to avoid problems when you return it. read more

I was recently in a car accident. I gotten hold of my insurance company and they got me a reservation at this crap shack. I got into the accident Monday. Spoke with my adjuster on Tuesday and he set up the reservation with the car rental place. I called them to try to get the car for my wife on Wednesday by the way it was my wife's car that I was in when I got to the accident. They couldn't get me in on Wednesday so I made an appointment at 11 AM on Thursday. My wife got there they told her no reservation was made, and that her appointment was the next day at 8 AM. I would never schedule an appointment for my wife at 8 AM. She is not a morning person. So she made the appointment for 11 AM the next day. She arrived at 10:30 11 they had no car ready for her after her sitting there about an hour waiting. They finally gave her a car that had been sitting on the lot that they went and cleaned and made all these excuses and it was absolute debacle. They were completely unprofessional. I don't know how enterprise would let this establishment continue to do business under their name when you make an appointment you expect to arrive and things to be ready to go. Sure delays can happen, but should be this inconsiderate of a persons time is completely unprofessional. My wife was over an hour and a half late for work that day. DO NOT GO TO THERE!!! read more

I rented a car through this Enterprise location (via Expedia) on 7/9/24 to attend my husband's mother's funeral later in the week. I received a call later the same day notifying me that the facility did not have any cars. In fact, there were no rentals in the Omaha metro area to be had. While the customer service representative was helpful, she could only offer an option for us to drive to Council Bluffs to rent a car, which wasn't going to work given the timing between our flights and the services. Not sure what's going on with the rental car business in Omaha, especially since there were no big events happening at the time. Very inconvenient! read more

I reserved a compact car online. I took an Uber from the airport to Enterprise on Harney road. The rental agent (RA) told me all they had available was a truck bc 3 cars had been returned with damage. I said that was unacceptable as I had to drive people around during my trip. He said the truck has 4 doors. Great but my mom is 83 and unable to get into truck. I asked how long I would need to wait for a car and he said he had none available.  I then asked how he was going to make it right. His reply was that the upgrade to the truck would be free. He also said I should have rented a car at airport bc they have a larger fleet. My reply was that I thought I reserved a car here. If I didn't think I could get a car at the Harney location I would have rented somewhere else.  If they knew they had no calls they should have called me and given me options. The RA never apologized. Or offer to check on a car at airport, heck go get more cars from airport, let me rent from airport for same price, anything to retain my business, basically it was we have a truck and take it or leave it.  I did not expect a discount but maybe help me out and call Enterprise at airport and check to see if they had any cars.  I got a free ride back to the airport because I asked for it but not reimbursed for Uber ride. Harney St Enterprise is the best rental staff I have ever worked with, not close. Ryan H and Katherine C are seriously wonderful people. Our car was deemed undrivable and we had to leave it at the shop. Insurance was slow to send Enterprise the authorization they needed and despite that, they secured us a vehicle a day earlier than expected, upgraded us to a SUV for more space and safety (my wife is pregnant and we have a 1 year old), and communicated with us in very quick fashion. In addition, they were so kind when we went to pick up the vehicle and went out of their way to provide us with two different vehicle options. Don't do it! I accidently rented from Enterprise instead of National. I fixed that by removing their app from my phone. It took forever to get through the line to get the contract, then another 20 min to actually get a car. it was raining so was hard to tell what you got..but then the clouds parted... it was some piece of junk that had the rear door molding coming off, all kind of maintenance lights were going off, the collision sensors were bad and sending message on a regular bases, and they used some horrible car freshener to try to mask the odors which only made it worse. on the upside, the employees were nice but that can't make up for this rent-a -wreck facility. read more

Had a car reserved and my flight was delayed. I called and advised them and the assured me that they would wait until 2 hours past closing. They had my flight number and said they would be aware. Got to the counter at 12:30am and no one was there. They told me they would be there until 1am !!!! Thank goodness AVIS was there and they helped myself and 2 other people! TERRIBLE!!! So in full disclosure, I did not actually rent a car from this location but I do have some experience with the staff here. I was in town last weekend for the Berkshire meeting. I got my rental car from the Alamo by the airport. Everything was going fine and as I was driving to downtown Omaha another car ran a red light and t-boned my car. The accident just happened to occur at the intersection outside of this Enterprise location. Some of the employees came out and were very helpful providing us with some band-aids and tips on how to file the accident reports with Alamo and get a new car. They even offered to give us a ride to downtown Omaha...although we just walked since it was only about a mile away. Anyways, I was very impressed with the customer service (especially given that I was not a customer!) and I'm sure if you get a rental car from here they will treat you well. read more

Our experience started out a little rough as there were some issues with the car we rented, and since we were taking a long road trip, we didn't realize it when we first got it. We rent from them quite often and this is the only time we've had a problem. Things happen. So, we started out on our road trip and noticed the issues. I won't mention them because they aren't really important. Suffice to say that we needed to trade our car in when we go to our destination. We didn't want to drive back with the same car since it was such a long drive. The other Enterprise Rent-A-Car let us trade it in and we were back on the road home to Omaha. We were annoyed but things happen. No business is perfect and we all make mistakes. This is where the Enterprise Rent-A-Car really shined for us. We arrived and asked to talk to the manager immediately. The person that checked us in, Sean, actually was the manager and asked how we were doing and what was the issue. We told him what had happened during the drive and our problems with our car. He honestly apologized, listen to our concerns, and was totally professional and courteous. At no time did he try to ignore us, act like our issues were unimportant, or make us feel like we weren't worth his time. He was, imho, the perfect manager possible. He made sure that we felt our issues were fixed and took all responsibility for the issue and made us feel like we were customers that mattered to the company and to him personally. After finishing up the car return, we asked if we could get a ride to our condo. Sean said sure and asked Jasmine to drive us. She immediately took us to the car, we hopped in, and she drove us home. She was very friendly, sweet, and professional. It was a perfect way to end the day. All in all, I say that even though our experience started out with some disappointments in the original rental, the way that Sean handled it more than made up for it. He is a great choice for manager and we look forward to renting from this Enterprise again soon in the future. read more

I'm deeply unimpressed. I flew into Omaha on business and rented a car from this location. On the day of travel, it became apparent early on the in the day that I was going to be delayed due to weather passing through. It sucked, but I was going to be about an hour late for my reservation (which also meant that I would be arriving close to their closing time). I called in the afternoon to let them know that I was going to be late for my 5pm reservation. I would make it by 6. The rep Shannon said, "no problem, we'll be here." When I was sitting on the tarmac while a storm blew through, I called again to let them know I was going to be able to get there pretty much at 6. The rep Shannon said, "no problem, we'll be here. But if it's too late, the airport location can pull up the reservation for you and you can pick up there." Amazing. I landed, collected my luggage. It was 5:45. I called and said, "hey, I'll be there soon. I'm jumping in a cab." The rep (someone else than who I had previously talked to, I forgot his name) said, "uhhhhh I have to ask me manager." and I said, "Of course, also just so you know I called ahead to let you all know I would be a couple minutes late. Shannon said it wouldn't be a problem." He said, "ok" I could take a cab and make it by 6pm. I jump in a cab (at 5:50) and the cabbie gets me there at 6:04. The gates are locked. I call and I can't get through (it's after closing, so the phone lines, I assume, won't even route calls to the desk). I knock on the windows. No one answers. My cabbie was a hero and also had faith that someone would hang around and wait for me (he said, "you called? oh, yeah, they should be there.") So. I get a ride back to the airport and rent from another company. Look, I work in customer service. It SUCKS when someone says, "hey, I'm gonna be late and it's maybe gonna be a few minutes after closing." But, 4 minutes after close with a reservation and giving multiple heads up about being slightly late because of weather delays? This is possibly one of the worst customer service experience I've ever had, and I don't say that to be dramatic. read more

Then, they marked the part on the form that adds protection coverage to the trip (i.e., indicating that I should sign), even after I said that I declined the coverage. Please don't try to scam me. Second, rent from this Enterprise. Ask for Ryan. He went above and beyond to accommodate me. I made a last minute reservation online for the terrific weekend special and got a confirmation number and everything. My phone rings and it's Ryan. He tells me he won't be able to honor the reservation as they are out of cars and the website was behind. I understand, a little disappointed but I understand. Ryan then tells me he is going to call down the airport to see if they can honor it. He places me on hold and makes a phone call. He comes back on the line and says they won't as they are the airport and have different rules and reservation system. Okay, no biggie. Ryan says he have someone pick me up and we'll work something out. Alright, great. The driver picks me up at 230pm (they close at 3pm) and takes me just up the street. There is Ryan with a Nissan Versa. he was able to get a car in and rent it to me for the discounted rate. I was so tickled! I was in and out of the office in 10 minutes. He was super and I recommend him to anyone! I even said so when Enterprise called me for a survey. Ryan is the reason I would rent from that location and that company again. read more

We were in Omaha 7/29 for our anniversary and had hoped to rent a car in order to drive to Lincoln to see the capitol. We were staying at the Hilton. My husband phoned Enterprise and were told there were cars available. He made a reservation. He then walked over a mile to the Enterprise place. Then they told him there were no cars available. He had to walk over a mile back to the hotel. He was really pissed, and I don't blame him. We had a good trip, anyway, but this threatened to spoil it. We never did get to see the capitol. Hidden overage charge fees! Was provided a return date and time and had several hours to spare. Unfortunately, Enterprise at Eppley Airport in Omaha hid $20+ in overage charges. We traveled to Omaha in order to have a celebration for our daughter who just graduated. So we rented an mid size SUV in order to have enough room for people and for everything we had to pick up. The people at this Enterprise were very personable and truly went out of their way to take care of us, The process was smooth and easy. read more

Overall the experience was great and Katie was really accommodating. The reason I could only give 3 stars (I'd rather 3.5) was because the condition of the vehicle. The car I received was smelled like the last user had smoked in it and they covered it with a lot of air freshener. The smell made everyone in the car nauseous and made our clothes smell (We were travelling to a professional conference so it was kind of embarrassing). The other issue was the car wasn't cleaned well when we received it. There was dirt caked into the pedals that got all over and smeared hand prints inside two of the windows. To apologize Katie waived us having to fill up on return. She was really awesome and even with a long line she had me in and out of the door in a few minutes. read more

I was finally able to rent a car from Enterprise at the Council Bluffs, Iowa location while my car was being fixed. They gave me a free upgrade to a nicer car due to my bad experience with the Omaha location. Their service as great. It would be nice if they had more weekend hours (Saturday 9-1 only). Keep in mind that if you want to Enterprise to pick you up, you must be 10 miles or 10 minutes away, and have limited options on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. read more

My reservation with the downtown Omaha office was a disaster. The larger corporation was not helpful either. Their office called me at 730am to say they did not have a car for me at 8:30am when I needed it to drive an hour to a funeral. I had reserved the day before from the website. They said, "sometimes the website shows cars available that are not." Really!? I went online to rebook from the airport and it was an extra $100. I called Enterprise and they were like 'yeah, sorry Omaha doesn't have anything. We'll hook you up with the office in Council Bluffs. That is four miles away so they can pick you up." Cool. Council Bluffs had a car but did NOT pick up in Omaha "because we have an office there." You know, the office that bailed on me? Deante at Council Bluffs saved the day and was the ONLY helpful encounter I had with Enterprise throughout this rental disaster. I Lyfted over to their office and he took that fee off my rental, waived a one-way drop and comped me the gas. But for him, Enterprise Omaha and Enterprise Corporate would have left me stranded. Since the airport rental facility is so inconvenient (especially when its so cold out) we decided to have the Harney location pick us up in the morning at the Hilton Omaha. I called at 11:00 and the gal said they would come right away as they are only 5 minutes from the hotel. After waiting for 15 minutes we finally called and they asked which Hilton we were at? Huh? I told them the address before and there is only ONE Hilton Omaha (I did not say Garden Inn did I?) Anyway, after another 15 minutes (that's 1/2 hour of waiting), she finally drove up. She took us to the facility and the check in process seemed to take forever. Though I considered ourselves lucky as there were other customers waiting with no one else working on December 23rd! We get in the car and she walked my husband around the car which seemed like forever. Then inconveniently enough we only had 1/2 a tank of gas. Gone are the days of a full tank? This thing got such poor mileage that when driving back to Omaha from Columbus NE on Christmas Day we almost ran out of gas because few gas stations where open. That's on us, but the 1/2 a tank is a pain. They do this because they know they will make money on you because you must put some gas in it. Regardless, we won't use this location again. read more

This week we had a reservation for an economy size car to pick up at the Omaha airport for a three day rental. When we went to the pickup spot in the rental garage we were told we would be "upgraded" to a mid sized car, a Chevy. We took it and left because we were in a hurry to visit an elderly relative. The car turned out to be a 2015 model with almost 34,000 miles. It reeked of cigarette smoke and was dirty. The car had not been washed. The second day we had it I tried twice to call the airport agent to complain. Both times I received a tape message to leave my name and number and they would call me back. That was yesterday and they have not attempted to call me. I will return the car tomorrow and I will ask to speak to someone in a supervisory position to complain. But judged by the performance of Enterprise so far, I don't expect my complaint will reach anyone of importance. I will try to go to the corporate level and I will voice my experience on social media such as Facebook. I will do so because in fifty years of travel this is by far the poorest car rental performance I've unfortunately experienced. I will not attempt to use Enterprise Car Rentals again--anywhere. read more
