I was Just happy to have a vehicle so that I could make a quick round-trip to see a family member with health issues. The vehicle underwent extensive inspections, I was actually surprised how long it took compared to what it you normally do when you get a car at the airport. We had a conversation about the condition of the car because it had a cracked front end on the bumper. Upon return I was informed by the manager trainee that there were other cracks on the bumper and I would be responsible. After a lengthy discussion with the manager, they finally let it go when they were able to verify with the original inspector that the issue was pre-existing ,but it sure did leave a sour taste in my mouth, given that the exception had been identified prior to my departure. My only recommendation about this location is if you rent make sure you have everything is documented and you're clear on any exceptions to avoid problems when you return it.

On the second…read moreday, while I was driving on a busy thoroughfare during lunch hour, the engine light came on abruptly and the engine switched off. Fortunately, I was on a decline and was able to turn the car into a turning lane. I phoned Avis's emergency services, reported the problem, and was told I would get a text of when to expect the tow; the agent apprised me the wait range would be long but that the tow truck would come much sooner. I was also told I would receive a link for a complimentary Uber. After waiting over four hours -- in 16-degree weather and with snow falling -- I called my own ride and made a dash to the airport for my flight. During my wait, I tried repeatedly to reach a human at Avis or their emergency services. I reached one, once, and discovered the tow truck dispatcher was in another state. Incredible. And yes, I was still charged for the rental.

I took my car here to fix a minor dent/scrape. The final bill was 30% more than their written…read moreestimate. They blamed the extra cost on recalibration, and said they didn't know how much that costs ahead of time. Giving a low initial quote and then jacking up the price once the work is done is downright shady. I will note that I also got a quote from Dingman's that was slightly higher than Kaizen's quote (though lower than the final bill) that did include a flat cost for recalibration, so apparently they figured it out. It took 5 weeks to get the car into the shop, which is fine (every place is busy these days). Two days after dropping it off, they informed me I'd be without my car for 2 weeks, which seemed like a long time for a simple fix (no spare parts or anything). The day I was supposed to pick it up, I called in to see when it would be ready; only then was I informed it would be a further 2 days. Note they never called me. Between the completely wrong estimate, the long repair time, and the complete lack of communication, I would have assumed this is the first time they've fixed a car. In retrospect I should have asked more questions, but I naively assumed that the shop would be honest and accurate in their communication. Then again if they had been honest, I might have chosen a different shop. The cherry on top was that when I got my car back, they had broken the driver-side seatbelt (it wouldn't retract). They did fix it within a half hour (nice of them), but the employee who gave me my keys told me that the guy who had reassembled the seatbelt just didn't care about doing a good job. I will leave it there without further comment.

The driver fender and driver door was damaged, and the suspension was knocked out of alignment. I have a scratch in my driver side mirror that wasn't there after my car was hit. There was some kind of grease on the mirror and driver side window. There was grease left under the sun visor on the driver side. I had a pretty nice Captain America themed steering wheel cover that is now ruined due to one of the grimy workers smearing grease all over the cover and upon trying to clean it, rubbed off most of the color. The cover is now mostly grease colored. Someone at the shop took everything in the passenger side of the vehicle as well as the back seat of the vehicle, and threw it all into the cargo area of the vehicle. Now tell me, why do you need to get into the back seat while doing body work? I can see the floors were vacuumed, which is great, but who gave you the right to throw everything into the cargo area? I would recommend this shop for great work, but I'm pretty steamed about the rest of what they did. And let me add, I didn't ask for my car to be washed. I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, but I'm that kind of person.

Paid to get my car Towed my car here on Thursday being told this. "yes sir , you can bring it today…read more, we actually have a spot available just for you today , we just didnt want it to get taken by tomorrow so we made sure we had it ready for you , can you come in any time today until 6 pm" Then on Friday I get told this "hey , ,i just wanted to inform you that due to today being a really busy day for us , the timing chain still needs to be worked on , can i call you tomorrow to let you know the updates and if we can finish the job since we were backed up for just one day , i was goin to ask if we can have it till monday so we can ensure this job gets done correctly with no rush ? Asked about schedule issues and if they can confidently do this job. Then was replied with: "no no scheduled issues sir , the car is in line with the space of it still being occupied by the car itself it was just one of those days unfortunetly and we couldnt start on it today , the work time is still the same im just backed up by 1 day sir , i apologize for this inconvinience and since we dont open sundays , the best bet will be to finish it by monday" Told specifically not to start it or drive it due to timing being off and creating additional damage. But that was disregarded and started any way. Highly unprofessional place and strongly don't recommend bringing your car here if you love or care for your car. I have been lied to and disrespected.
