went on a Tuesday after finding out their soft opening was the weekend before, the 20% was only for the weekend, boo! Disclaimer: I frequent one zo and omomo after trying countless others. I've been to the DT in NB and this one was about the same. Got a signature milk tea and two matcha latte and was average-ly satisfied. The golden boba are ridic chewy... like wtf when will the chewing end chewy, which is something I'm not used to (see disclaimer) since other bobas are softer and sweeter. The actual MT was okkkkkk, a bit watered down for my taste but decent. Like the fact that they have lots of topping options tho. They also don't have a perk service set up, so my 3 drinks were for nothing- boo. But the worker/manager/not sure said they are trying to get that running during their actual opening. Oh yeah- took forever to get my order too, I was the only person in line when I got there, and it took a good 15 mins to get ma dranks. And there were 5 ppl working! read more

Ding tea is starting to spread around all over Orange County! I did not even know this one existed literally a few minutes away from my place. It is located at the foothill town center, they have all the usual flavors and tea that you will find in the other ding tea. This time I tried the signature milk tea, with golden boba and the pineapple tea with boba. They were both good! My personal favorite is still the Hokkaido milk tea with boba. One that really struck my curiosity is the strawberry milk tea as it just looks amazing in the pictures. Hoping it's as good as it looks in the pictures! read more

As someone who frequents other Ding Tea locations (Westminster, Garden Grove, etc.), this one is the worst I've been to. Drinks do not compare and service is slow. Do yourself a favor and try another location, or Presotea right down the street. read more

Management-Teach your teenage employees customer service. I went in today excited that the store now offers soymilk (nondairy option) I ordered the hokkaido milk tea boba and didn't realize it was going to be super sweet. As I wait, I was watching the girl name Candice making my drink and I politely asked her if she could make my drink less sweet since she filled up a quarter of the cup with caramel. She threw the cup with lots of caramel she was making into the sink sarcastically and loudly, as if it was such a pain to scoop out some of the caramel out..while Candice replied "YEA" to me, rudely. I had Ding tea before a few times and I understand their sweet level can be very sweet. For over a $6 drink (add ons soymilk & boba), I would expect it to be awesome with great customer service! Maybe train your employees to ask what level of sweetness your customers prefer and train your staff to put a smile on their faces! 2 stars for proximity being the closest boba shop and ok boba. read more

Dude brought out my drink because I was too busy chatting with friends to notice them calling my number. Now I feel obligated to rate them lol. A+ service for sure. Not that there's much. But Ding has been a staple in my boba rotation since I discovered them in SD. I loved it for being cheap but good. A happy middle ground between garbage at low tier boba shops and high end elsewhere. But honestly, I was a little flabbergasted at how pricey my drink was here. $5+ for one large drink. Is this the OC premium I'm paying for? Cause Ding is not this expensive in SD or the LA suburbs. At these prices, you can probably buy a better tasting drink elsewhere. I'm still gonna come here every time I pass by, but I'ma keep complaining too. read more

The drinks are too sweet I always adjust the sweetness . The last 2 times I've come in the staff has been rude . I ordered my drink my husband came to pick it up twice and they told him they were still working on it . It had been 30 mins so I went in When I came it to ask if it was ready they said it's " it's been sitting right there" There's plenty of boba spots around town now - I won't comeback here read more

I love Ding Tea. I got excited when I saw this location close to home. Nope! Never again with this place. Servers were friendly but this place is too dirty. We were there a few weeks ago and saw roaches! Lost me there.. where's the owner? We been there a few times and these poor young servers. They look under staffed and overwork. read more

friendly and quick service but sadly, my drinks were pretty bad.. i ordered two drinks, an oolong milk tea and a wintermelon milk tea with boba. my oolong drink was completely watered down, no sweetness to it at all. i ended up tossing this drink ^^;;; had some hope for my other drink, the wintermelon tea but this time it was TOO sweet, as if it took the sweetness from my first drink. i normally enjoy sweet things and get 100% sweetness but this was like 150% sugar sweetness. the boba was also pretty old tasting based on the chew, but i can look past it bc i did come right when they opened at 11am. i just wish i had fresher boba? i wouldve be willing to wait for that. read more

Awesome little spot with awesome little drinks. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking to include handicap. Plenty of outdoor seating areas to keep distance from others and they are following COVID-19 regulations of wearing a mask and gloves. Always a go-to for me when I want something refreshing that isn't fruit tea. My personal favorite is the wintermelon tea (with OR without milk!). The wintermelon flavor is really strong and I like to get less sweet because it is a bit sweet for me. My friends also love their fruity teas (mango and peach specifically!). Soft opening offer currently going on for 20% off. Store is very small but in a prime location! Next to sushi pizza and the local movie theater. Just nearby is a home goods store, target, and Walmart. Definitely going to be the move post covid. I ordered my drink and waited outside. Wow Ding Tea has so many locations now! I think you can always count on Ding Tea for a great boba experience! Gotta love Taiwanese boba shops! Definitely definitely get their golden boba! So deliciously chewy, it can't be beat! I got the boba with a matcha milk tea and was pretty happy with it! There was a pretty decent matcha flavor, but would recommend reducing sugar levels cause it can get pretty sweet. Also got it in the regular size (instead of my typical large lmao) cause I love the cute rounded bottoms of these cups! Be sure to bring a reusable straw to help reduce waste!! read more

Super excited that this place opened (somewhat) nearby! Drinks here are consistent with other locations I've been to. My go to orders are lychee black tea and the signature milk tea (regular sweetness for both) and they are both delicious! This location is decorated with social media in mind. As soon as I saw the wall I knew I would take a photo with my drink before leaving. Located in the Foothill Food Court, there is plenty of parking and outdoor seating. The only reason not rating this place five stars is that service has been extremely hit or miss. Some days I've ended up waiting 15+ minutes in line to order due to only two people working while others I've walked in where there is no one in line but four people behind the counter waiting to help. Hopefully as they continue to operate in this location they will have a better gauge on the number of staff needed at different times. read more

Eh, it used to be good. But alot of the teas are premade and they got stingy on the # of toppings you can have. The toppings used to make up for the diluted tea, but no more. Glad presotea has opened up just a block away. read more

Wow! Where do I begin? The place is decorated so nicely. Given that it opened during a pandemic, I will bring my friends in the future to hang out there. It's a very welcoming atmosphere. Also, the menu has an assortment of different flavors and toppings. I got the strawberry milk tea and it tastes so good! Reminds me of yogurt and doesn't taste like tea. I also recommend their taro milk tea. The service was great and the employees were so kind! Karsten was the one who took my order. He had good knowledge of the menu and what to recommend for different tastes. Overall, he was very nice and helpful. This is my new go-to boba spot in south OC! Love it! read more

We were visiting friends in lake forest and I picked a bubble tea place nearby. Another friend in LA mentioned this place. I got the Hokkaido milk tea 30 percent sweet with golden boba. I would like to start by saying I ordered 7 drinks here and my husband spent lots more in the claw games. Drinks came out fine albeit a little sweet which you can always adjust for next time. We waited awhile for our drinks because they still had to finish 6 drinks before working on my order and 1 person was working to fill the order while another takes orders until they can help fill too. I can understand the wait. What I can't understand is why they won't let paying customers use their restrooms? after having to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks, my 6 year old needed to go and was near about to pee in his pants onto their floors, wherein I was told by the employees he can go next door. I went next door and was chewed out by their owner who said "they have their own restroom. They need to stop sending people here. I'll let you use it this once." I can't fault that restaurant for their misdirected anger at us since it makes sense. All other establishments in that plaza allow their customers to use their restrooms and yet Ding tea, a place that sells drinks which are natural diuretics, would risk their paying customers having UTIs or allow kids to pee in their pants and potentially on their floors because of their stingy bathroom policies. This ding tea just fails in the customer service department for me. It would be better to go to other boba shops in the area who care for their customers and their well being. read more

I've been to other Ding Tea locations which had amazing drinks and service, but I don't think this location lives up to the reputation. I was really excited about this location opening up because it's right by my house, but every time I've gone here I've been disappointed. I get the same drink almost every time which is Strawberry Milk Tea with Cheese Foam on top, 50% sweetness. It's my absolute favorite drink combo to get because I know it's a solid drink, but the Foothill Ranch location just doesn't cut it. The first thing I noticed was off is the appearance. The color is an unpleasant grayish color whereas the other locations had more of a pink color. Also, whatever kind of strawberries they use in their drinks does not look or taste fresh at all. I don't really know how to describe it other than that the drink doesn't seem like it was made with real and fresh strawberries. It doesn't really taste like real strawberries either, it's more of an artificial flavor. I find myself never finishing their drinks even though I always down my Strawberry Milk Teas almost instantly from other locations. Also, the service here could improve. Last time I went there, the girl at the register just stared at her register screen or watching whatever her coworker was doing for a while before even acknowledging me, even though I was standing right at the counter. Once she decided to acknowledge me she didn't seem like she was in a good mood and didn't greet me whatsoever. Not only that, she got my drink wrong, but part of that was my fault as she did ask me to check the screen if it was right, but I glanced too fast and said it was okay. I didn't notice until after I got home. I obviously wanted to love this place because I've always had great experiences at other Ding Teas, but this one didn't meet my expectations. I probably won't be coming here again, but if I do, I might just switch to a different drink. Definitely brush up on the service! read more

Unfortunately, by the time I got home, I was only halfway through my coffee when my stomach started hurting pretty badly, and I ultimately ended up spending much longer in the bathroom than I would have liked. I drink coffee pretty frequently -- probably five out of seven days a week -- and I generally don't have this kind of reaction to the different coffees I drink. I also hadn't consumed anything besides water this morning, so I'm fairly confident the coffee was what upset my stomach. My biggest concern is that if I had gotten this coffee before heading to work and had the same reaction, I would have been cooked. Thankfully, today was my day off. Aside from that experience, the shop itself has plenty of seating, and the staff is very friendly. It's really unfortunate that I had such a bad reaction to the coffee because, otherwise, I didn't have any major complaints about the place.

I'm glad they're there though. I come out from an appointment and go straight to the coffee bar. From the fall seasonal menu, I ordered the maple pecan latte. It was so good. By the time I headed over for a drink though, there wasn't much pastries left so I had to head home with one hand empty. Bummer. Service is usually quick and they don't seem to get very busy, at least when I'm there. Price is a bit on the higher end, however, you can taste the difference with that first sip. I'm looking forward to grabbing a cup of something again real soon.

We got there at 9:54 and the sign says they close at 10. The staff said that they are so sorry as they don't take orders as they are closing in 5 minutes. I believe that service should be provided till 10. I have to admit the staff was polite in their response, it just sucks after we came all the way over. Update to the response below: 1. We came at 9:54 and we left at 9:57 after we talked with you. 2. We never said that you didn't want to sell. We said that service should be rendered during advertised business hours. 3.
