Buffalo Chicken Wrap with fries
Christine N.

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon during a weekend trip after it was recommended by my hotel, and this ended up being an A+ experience. I opted to sit at the bar, and the hostess was great about making sure I was comfortable there before bringing me over. I was taken care of by Andre, who struck that perfect balance--attentive and friendly without being over the top. I ordered a fruity beer (more on the tart side, though I wish I remembered the name!) along with a buffalo chicken wrap (fries included), and both hit the spot. The menu here is extensive, so there's really something for everyone, which makes it easy to see why this place can get busy. One of my favorite parts of the visit was the atmosphere. Wheel of Fortune was on the TV, and every so often one of the cooks would pop out of the kitchen, glance up, and try to solve the puzzle. We didn't interact beyond a quick nod and smile, but it gave the whole place a relaxed, fun, and very human feel. From what I understand, I was there at a good time because there can be a wait (and reservations may be needed), but everything about my visit felt easy and well-paced. I'd absolutely come back and would recommend grabbing a seat at the bar if you're dining solo--it was a great way to enjoy the experience.

Diner 248 is so packed during peak times, I wonder why they don't take reservations. Katie took care of my girlfriend and me after the hostess had placed us in the crowded side of the restaurant because the crew was cleaning the other end before closing. (Overall, the establishment is clean but it's a bit crowded by the bar. The place is well-lit.) Katie is wonderful, fun, and kind and guided us through both food and drink. My girlfriend had a fun, seasonal cocktail and I enjoyed my dirty olive vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. We began with their nachos, which we agreed were some of the best we've had. (We chose to have ours meat free and it was still amazing.) My girlfriend loved her grilled chicken over rice with broccoli. The chicken was tender and delicious and the rice buttery and yummy. I had crab stuffed flounder, which was fantastic even though the flounder was slightly over-cooked. For dessert, we shared the banana cake. Katie was kind enough to give us a corner piece -- which seemed like it could feed five! We loved it and had much for the next day. We will definitely return.

Came here very hungry after driving 8hours from Michigan. The chicken parm was excellent fried nicely and a great portion for the price. The side of spaghetti with sauce was very good a solid sauce. My wife and mother n law shared the salmon and crab cakes and they both cleaned their plates. My son really enjoyed his ugly goat burger devoured every bite. The only downside for use was the kids spaghetti and meatballs, the dish lacked sauce but this was easily fixed as I had plenty and gave him some. As good as the meal was overall, the desserts took center stage. The banana cream bread was outstanding reminded me of a carrot cake and banana bread fusion, also of the three desserts we ordered the biggest portion by far. The chocolate peanut butter pie was very good although the waitress said of the three we ordered that was the only one not made in house. The warm berry compote was very good as well you can not go wrong with any of these three desserts. The service was very good and would definitely frequent this place if I was a local.

Love this diner. It is your typical diner that you would expect to find in Pennsylvania/New Jersey. Large on the inside and still lots of people wanting to get in. This place is hopping! Been here twice now and both times my food was great. This most recent time I had the salmon with salad. The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the salad which actually had veggies on it. So hard to find these days! It had tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. Service was great. Food was delivered fast. Our server checked in on us without being annoying. Will happily eat here again.

This is the best food

the hostess was lovely love love. the steak was absolutely beautiful but i cant taste it because their INFERNO wings done BURNT MY TONGUE OFF GODDAMN. Mo like DANTE's inferno wings. Baby would not stop crying but it lowkey started to get funny. baby sounded like it was hooked up to a car battery. i've seen cartel videos with less pain in they voice.

I came back to Diner 248 and this time, I really enjoyed my meal! I ordered the wings and bacon cheddar fries and it was an easy 10/10. The wings were flavorful and cooked just right, and the fries were loaded--crispy, cheesy, and just the right amount of indulgent. The service was great once again--friendly and attentive, which definitely added to the experience. This visit sealed the deal for me. I'll definitely be back... and I'll probably be ordering those wings again (and again).

Local high quality diner. Interior is what you'd expect for a diner and well maintained. Breakfast omelettes are very good. Dinner entrees are also very good, especially the salmon which has been cooked perfectly 3 out of 4 times and even the 4th time was only slightly overcooked. Beet salad is also very good and the wings were excellent. Servers have always been super nice and properly attentive. Finally the beer menu has a great selection of local microbrews and the martinis are always well made. Prices are high than you'd expect for a diner but for the quality it's good.

Grilled Chicken with Broccoli & Corn

Good meal and service. Ribs were better than expected. Fries served hot. Corn tasted like it was from a can. Was with someone that was watching calories and the grilled chicken was a good choice. Said it also tasted good.

Food and customer service was excellent. My only issue is sometimes you don't get enough French fries with your curbside pickup.

Breakfast at Billy's Diner is an upscale diner experience. My husband chose this restaurant and it…read morewas an excellent choice. I order chicken and waffles. The chicken crunchy chunky breading was perfect, the waffles slightly golden. The syrup is corn syrup free, it's house-made vanilla bean syrup. Very tasty with the chicken and waffles. My husband ordered fresh harvest hash and enjoyed it but thought is could could use more bacon. Just note although Easton is known for on street parking, there is a parking garage literally right nextdoor as I am disabled this made parking simple. The bathroom is ADA compliant and it smelled and looked clean.

If I could give zero stars, I would, and that's entirely because of the hostess (who appeared to…read morepossibly be a manager or owner). I had an 11AM reservation for two. When I arrived I stood near the hostess stand since there wasn't much space due to others waiting. The hostess looked directly at me, so I began to give my name and mentioned the reservation. Her immediate response: "umm, what?" Assuming it was just loud, I repeated myself and clarified, "for two." She snapped back, "the 9 top?" I said, "no, just two." That earned me an eye roll and a "just hold on" before she walked away. No acknowledgment, no basic courtesy, just attitude. A few minutes later, she returned with a flat "come this way," and started walking to a table. I let that entire interaction go, assuming it was just a chaotic, loud brunch rush. My friend arrived shortly after, and we waited about 15-20 minutes with no menus or server. Not ideal, but manageable. We were catching up. When our waitress did come over, she was great. Super friendly, attentive, and the only reason this experience wasn't a complete loss. Food came out quickly, and overall we were there for about an hour, which is completely reasonable for brunch. Then the hostess made sure to leave a lasting impression. The second our plates were cleared, she reappeared, dropped the check on the table with a sharp "here," and walked away. No check-in, no "how was everything," no offer for another coffee; just a not-so-subtle message that our time was up. We left it there and continued talking while finishing our drinks. A few minutes later, she came back and said, "ladies, I really need this table.. you need to leave, I have a huge wait." There's efficient table management, and then there's whatever that was. We had been there just over an hour, while other tables around us had clearly been seated longer. If the goal was to move guests along, mission accomplished, but at the cost of any professionalism or basic hospitality. It was, without exaggeration, one of the most unnecessarily rude and poorly handled interactions I've had in a restaurant. Not rushed, but dismissed. As we walked out there was one couple standing there waiting. I looked around the corner to see if there was anyone else waiting- there wasn't. Food was fine- forgettable, honestly. And with that kind of front-of-house experience, there's absolutely no reason to come back.

After leaving a recent review at the Father-restaurant Kabinett, it feels appropriate to do so…read morehere. This is a firmly casual atmosphere- part café, part bierhall, part grocery, and most importantly- Curated Wine Shoppe. The ambience- bloody enormous! It was an auto garage! The outdoor patio is also large- standard Bierhall bench seating or stand overlooking the river and 'Free Bridge', as the locals colloquially refer to it. Pagoda to keep the sun off. The café- standard coffee options, and a few pastries. I believe the pastries used to be done in house (a couple had Moroccan flavours), but now, done by the wonderful duet Pie+Tart. The Bierhall- firstly- they stock Ayinger. This is my favourite Braurei in Germany. Nothing pleases me more than to see several brews- especially the Brauweiß. There are about 15 beers from which to choose, most being less common/higher quality German Brews. There are also some American brews by Von Trapp in Vermont- who also focus on German styles. Good prices. Served in the proper Becher glassware- or suck on a bottle. The Grocery- focusing on Australian dry goods and some necessities. This harkens back to the old Silk Mill location- sans the candies. I've bought some higher quality spices here. THE Wine Shoppe. Since this part of the venture opened, it has become my go-to for most of my wine. He stocks wine which you will not see anywhere else. The focus is on Austrian/German, and Australian wines. Cheap to expensive. Walking the horseshoe from left to right, you start in the White Brut/Sekt, to the Grüner, to the Red /Rot Sekt. In the centre are the cheaper wines, and a good amount of Rosé. While I say cheaper, that does not mean inferior by any means. One of our household favourites has become Fritz's Rosé. I will take the time to discuss the Wines mostly- I was introduced to many Weingut here- Moric, George Breuer, Fritz and many others. The selection rotates, but there are some mainstays. Try to find the proprietor- Jason- walk the Shoppe with him and ask questions. I have never once been steered astray. The focus thankfully is the drier side of Wine- Old and New World. You will not be inundated with the same rubbish Napa Valley and PA wines other proprietors carry. This Shoppe is for those who have an Old World palette and feel the necessity to always pay restaurant premiums. Remember, at a restaurant, you are paying for the wine, plus the storage, Som, and service. You can also buy chilled wine. You can also buy wine to consume there (different list due to LCB Legalities).
