(Though someone else's leftover bleach in a machine had discolored one of my garments...but I digress.) I've been running around so much I just didn't have time to do it myself this time. Tim and Chelsea Ridge Cleaners to the rescue! The store was not yet open when I left a message, and I got a call back very quickly from Tim the owner saying that they could pick up and deliver my wash, same day. Fantastic! I quickly pulled together two loads and left them for pick up by the front desk. A little more running around and a while later I realized I had forgotten another full basket of dirty clothes! Aaah! By this time he was nearly at the shop so I took it there myself. Thankfully, it was not a long drive and I got to see their nice clean shop in Chelsea Ridge Mall. Later that afternoon I received a text letting me know that the clean clothes had been delivered to the hotel. Based on the form left in the room, I would have paid an arm and a leg for the wash & fold service offered by the hotel. Tim's price was reasonable, in fact not a tremendous amount more than I was paying to do it myself in the hotel machines. All in all an excellent experience!

I say safest because many of the other spots I've toured around have some pretty suspicious looking folks hovering around. They always have machines open and they just got all new dryers installed. The only tricky part about this place is there is not much parking. There are about 4 spots up front and limited parking in back. There's usually at least one spot open. Machines are pay by quarters, which I prefer since cards are not accepted universally.

Inside the dry cleaners, there's a dedicated sewing and alterations room with a changing area. My initial fitting was on a Monday. It was short and efficient, but definitely not rushed--they were warm and accommodating, and clearly knew what they were doing. A few days later on Thursday, I got a text that the dress was ready!
