We really enjoy dining at this restaurant with our family and young children. Unfortunately, during…read moreour last few visits, we've experienced a recurring issue with other guests allowing their children to watch videos or play games on devices at a very loud volume. This isn't a criticism of the children themselves, but rather a reminder that parents should be mindful of those around them. The excessive noise can be disruptive and takes away from what is otherwise a great dining experience. A little consideration and courtesy would go a long way in helping everyone enjoy their meal. My suggestion would be to sit nowhere near the counter.

I got seated right away, and everything from the friendly service to the quick turnaround (food hit the table in about 10 minutes) set the tone for a solid experience. I started with a cup of their cream of vegetable soup, and wow--this was the sleeper hit of the meal. Creamy, super flavorful, and seasoned so well that I didn't even reach for the pepper shaker (which is rare for me when it comes to cream soups). Just spot-on. For the main dish, I went with the hot turkey. It came out looking a little suspect--grill marks and a slightly dry appearance--but ended up being way better than expected. The turkey was actually tender and flavorful, and the gravy on top tied it all together. My only complaint? There wasn't enough of that gravy! A double portion would've taken it to the next level. Overall, Parkside is doing diner food right. Great place for a comforting, no-fuss meal. I'll definitely be back.

A serious gem of the neighborhood! You gotta love a simple menu, and a menu that offers great food…read moreat even better prices. There is ample parking around the building and it's very accessible from the road. Upon entry there weren't super clear directions about waiting for a host or seating yourself - this is very much a place of regulars so the need probably doesn't often occur to answer this question, although it did happen to us and the visitor in front of us haha. We were eventually greeted by the waitstaff and asked to find a seat. It's a fairly small dining room, maybe 6-8 tables(?) and a couple of horseshoe shaped bars to sit at right amongst the action of the open kitchen. They were quite full with only 1 table open at the time. Having a front row seat to it all was really cool! The menu had really great options without being overwhelming. They even has Sprite Zero so I couldn't have been happier. We ordered a double cheese burger, two sides of fries, and a double cheesesteak burger. This was essentially just a slightly larger and thicker burger. Both were excellent and were able to customise to our heart's delight! The fries were a little under seasoned for my liking, but salt and pepper were available. The ranch wasn't anything special, just premade from a pouch. The special of the day was a burger and cup of soup/chili, and I think we definitely were missing out there. It was super popular in the time we were there and the chili smelled incredible. And considering how hot the day was, it must have been really good for people to keep ordering it. When it came time to close out or check, we realised there was a "cash only" sign on the register. I'm usually really good about seeing these things ahead of time or looking for them on the door. So I apologise if it was posted upon entry, as well, but I did not see any signage for that other than at the register. Thankfully they do have an ATM on site inside if needed. The next time we are in the area we'll be back to try some of these other specials and goodies!

Good to see Harry's Diner (at Interstate) open again. Perfect stop on the way back from Door County…read morefor us and open on Monday. Swedish pancakes aren't quite as light (we've gotten used to something more crepe-like) as we'd prefer but still great. Also some menu additions with Mexican/Spanish influences which we gave a shot with the Barcelona Breakfast (a rice skillet). Nice touch with the breakfast links cut into coins and browned crispy (but not dry) to top the skillet. You can dial the size of your breakfast as you'd like. For example with the pancakes, one, two, or three, and for biscuits and gravy, one or two. Love the complete renovation that's brighter with new booths and bathrooms. There's a full on bar too but difficult to take advantage of while on the road. (Gotta stay sharp through that Milwaukee area construction).

What we got wasn't great but l'm hesitant to generalize it to all the good because looking around. People were eating with gusto! We both ordered the Farmer's Breakfast because it contained ingredients eggs-actly what we wanted. Unfortunately it was very dry and kind of tasteless. The potatoes were overwhelming and were not crispy fried at all. So while I'm not complaining of oily hash browns, it certainly needs some oil or butter in the preparation. I saw someone with an actual skillet of breakfast and maybe that would be more to my liking. I would probably come back next time I'm visiting Sheboygan and give them another chance. Hopefully, I just chose wrong on a menu of so many options! PS the mixed drinks were quite reasonably priced, and they even had two HUGE glass jars of homemade liqueurs. But u don't drink much and certainly not this time of day, lol!
