I have been a fan of Salty's BBQ since I had their food at the Cruizin' Shine car show. I really…read morelove that their owner, Jeff, is very supportive of military veterans, local law enforcement, and the community as a whole. This location of Salty's is off White Lane. There is a large parking lot with plenty of parking. As you pull up you'll see their smokers in front. They also have a drive thru. Walking in you'll pass through the big patio, but they also have a small indoor area that was nice and cool with AC. I ordered online and came by for a pick up. I had their Brisket and Pulled Pork Combo ($19.50 for ¼ combo) which came with a side so I opted for the Spicy Mac n Cheese, and a Pyrenees Roll, and BBQ on the side. Yum! When I opened the togo container the box was generously stuffed with food. It was definitely more food than I could handle but I eagerly ate as much as I could. Both the brisket and the pulled pork were fantastic. I like that they kept the bbq sauce on the side for my order so I could pour it or dip it when I was read to eat it. The mac and cheese was also tasty. Just a kick of spice but not too spicy. Love Salty's! I'll definitely be back and try more of their menu. I also hear they are opening a third location soon. All my best to the business!

The Buko Pandan drink was super good - not too sweet. Highly recommend if you like coconut things. The grilled chicken, garlic rice, and pancit were super tasty. The fiesta plate can get pricey depending on what you order but you get a lot of food! Can't wait to try their halo halo next time. Overall good vibes here. There is very little seating tho, so try to come during slower hours if you want a seat.

I've had Sarap from their food truck in the past but this was my first time at their brick and mortar store location! The portion sizing was generous and each entree was tasty without being too fatty or oily. I ordered the plate with Bistek ($1.50 additional charge), Ginataang Sitaw & Kalabasa, White Rice and Pancit. My wife got the bowl with garlic rice and pork liempo and we shared two pork lumpia. We also got Buko Pandan drinks and Sago Gulaman and thought both drinks were generously sized. We all enjoyed our food and will def be back to try the Sisig! This place is by far one of the best Filipino food places I've had. What stands out is the tastiness without it feeling overly heavy/greasy/fatty. The customer service is great, the workers really make you feel welcomed and ask how you're enjoying the food. The ambiance is really nice. From the mural, to the decor, to the chairs it's intentionally designed to have that Filipino feel. The air conditioning was blasting and fans were on to make us feel as comfy as possible while enjoying the food. I wish there was a Sarap closer to where I live, but it's a must visit every time I'm in Bakersfield.

We ordered the Bakersfield Picante noodles and the Hibachi Shrimp. Now some of the reviews on here are claiming small portion size. Well let me set that record straight. The bag was so heavy I almost dropped them when he handed it to me. Now to the food. I'm going to start with the rice and move my was up. First. Wow. It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Moving up the ladder of delish I had the picante noodles... and I must say.. simply amazing. Soft to the bite and perfectly chewy. Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. Cooked to perfection and PLENTIFUL! there was as much protein as there was veggies...It was amazing. We had the Hibachi shrimp as well... everything I just said about the Picante noodles... goes for the Hibachi. ( saving you a little time here) So if you are looking for fantastic food, and want to support a VETERAN OWNED LOCAL BUSINESS! This is the place. Great food. Great service. Get down here already! P.S. I didn't take pictures of the food because I was Hungary. Next time!!!!
