While visiting Bakersfield, my siblings and I decided to hang out at Valley Plaza Mall and grab a bite before continuing our shopping adventure. My brother recommended Devil & Angel Desserts, so I figured why not give it a try! This was actually my very first time trying a Korean corn dog, and after my brother ordered one, I immediately copied him lol. He went for the Hot Cheeto-covered mozzarella corn dog, while I chose the potato corn dog with half mozzarella and half sausage. Honestly, I was sooo happy with my choice! The potatoes on the outside were perfectly crispy, nicely salted, and super satisfying. It definitely filled me up, and I ended up liking it way more than I expected. I also really liked how modern and convenient the self-service ordering screens were, and both of our orders came out surprisingly fast. The shop itself is super cute, the prices were decent, and they have such a fun variety of treats to choose from. I already want to come back and try some of their other goodies like the tanghulu, milk teas, taiyaki, and more. Cute little spot with a great selection and tasty snacks! read more

This is my go to spot if I want a snack from shopping at the Valley Plaza. I love their Korean Dogs, I usually just get the Potato hot Cheetos one. I love just all mozzarella; it's full of cheese inside and it's fresh and hot. Their drinks especially their refreshers are very good. Their taste is unique and I think they have the best refreshers. Service is always good, just straight to the point of ordering. They're also very fast. Just make sure to ask for extra napkins! Eating the hot Cheeto Korean dog gets messy! read more

I normally don't eat at the mall but my niece and I decided to walk the mall on Saturday, May 24, 2025, late afternoon. So I saw Angel N Devil had Tanghulu and I've been wanting to try it. Unsure of what to order, I asked the cashier for her recommendations. She recommended the strawberry and grape tanghulu. The fruit was sweet and fresh and the candy coating was thin and crisp. So delicious. I could have eaten two fruit skewers. Although the grape/strawberry combo was good, I would go with all strawberries next time. I highly recommend this item. My niece wanted the pistachio and chocolate strawberries. This was a complete disappointment and would not recommend nor would I order again. The chocolate was so thick and low quality pistachio cream. I recommend this item at Blue Fig Farms..the very best Dubai strawberries I also ordered a Korean corn dog with potatoes. I ordered the half cheese and half meat. It was delicious and the cheese was super stretchy. I would order again. I ordered the Mango Peach Tea Refresher. So delicious and would order again. Overall we were satisfied with everything except the pistachio/chocolate strawberries. The price was around $33, a bit expensive but expected. Give them a try next time you're at the Valley Plaza. read more

This was my first time ordering a corndog from Devil & Angel Desserts. It's just another option in the mall food court, so there's not much to say about the service or ambiance. The one star is strictly for the corndog. It wasn't really worth the price for me. Sugar, mustard, and ketchup aren't really standard toppings here. You can select up to two and additional toppings are an extra $0.25. The sugar is so lightly sprinkled that I thought they had forgotten to even put any on. The mozzarella cheese is stretchy and the hotdog is like any other. The batter was fried well and had a good crunch, but altogether it lacks flavor. I'll stick to driving to a Two Hands in LA or something. read more

Mixed feelings after the first visit. I've seen this place and been meaning to try it so when I had to stop by the mall to have a chain repaired at the jeweler I decided to give it a go. The Vietnamese coffee milk tea was delicious. The coffee really cut through nicely but was tamed a bit by the milk, the boba was tasty it just hit on all points for me. The Korean corn dog was a bit of a miss. I tried it with the hot Cheetos. My first issue is I paid for a side sauce and they forgot it which I didn't realize until it was too late. Then the corn dog it self wasn't coated well, compared to other places in town the coating was patchy in spots and fell off really easily. It didn't taste much of the hot Cheeto either, I got more sweetness from the breading than I did anything else, just wasn't quite what I was hoping for. It wasn't a bad experience, I really want to come back and try the candied fruit so we'll see how the next visit goes. read more

I come here all the time to get the strawberry fresh milk tea and grape tanghulu, a couple of days ago i got the sunset galaxy 10/10 i haven't had any problems with the service yet but when I came across these two older ladies in front of me arguing at the employee i just feel like i had to say something from what i seen both of them were very rude and it seemed like all they wanted to do was start a problem. i just want to say to the mother and the daughter which i believe at the bottom @Aaron.B (isis burdick) who had changed their named recently, none of you were nice at all to the employees. Please be nicer and approach people like you would want to be treated but yelling at someone to get their attention is beyond unnecessary behavior. read more

So happily surprised with this place. Often the mall food disappoints. This place does not. It's excellent. We love the food and drinks. Honestly, best taro and k-dog we've ever had. Prices are great and staff is friendly. Highly recommend. read more

I have been looking forward to visit since they opened and I couldn't wait to get the Korean corn dogs. So we decided to go on our lunch break and check it out. I liked the potato one, but the hot Cheetos one wasn't for me, hot Cheetos dust everywhere on every bite and I don't know if it was just me, but it didn't taste like hot Cheetos to me. I believe you should try it for your own opinion. I've had Korean corn dogs at other places and this one was super greasy. I don't see myself going out of my way to grab Korean corn dogs here, but I would definitely like to try it again to see if it was just that one time. Staff was okay. The lady at the counter was informative but she didn't look like she wanted to be there. This place wasn't busy at all, when we went there was no line, but then again we went during lunch during the week. I can only imagine it's busier on the weekends or the evenings. I don't know if they take phone orders but if you eat at the mall, it's not too bad since they have a lot of seating inside or outside. read more

When we arrived, there was no customers and it looked slow so we decided to use the kiosk. I called out politely, "excuse me" but since I have a soft voice my mom called out excuse me louder. we knew the girl with red hair had seen us since she made eye contact with us when I first called out for help. Res hair girl then yelled out with her finger pointed at us, I'm busy talking. That is when I pulled out my phone to record the interaction. When she saw my phone she changed her tone of voice to a "nicer" tone while still lying about how busy they are with customers and in the video you can see there is no one in line expect the other people in the food court clearly not in line or near the Devil Angels. I would've not cared if she was listening to music or even talking to her co-workers if she had not pointed her finger and yelled at us. in the video itself you can see how she was lying multiple times. Will be telling everyone I know. Next time just laugh or say one second or XYZ but come on don't go pouting and yelling at people for asking for help while the busy is empty and you're supposed to be working. 0/10 recommend. read more

I haven't been to the food court in so long and so when I saw Devil & Angel Desserts sell boba, I was already sold! They also sold korean corndogs with a variety of toppings to choose from. The service was also fast considering the line of people in front of us! For boba drinks, we got: Horchata smoothie, Cookies n Cream smoothie, Vietnamese coffee, Sunset Galaxy, and Blue Lagoon. For the korean corndog, we got the C5 (mozarella stick with hot cheeto topping and drizzle of honey mustard and sweet chili on top). All were so good. The boba drinks were all a 5/5 and the boba balls tasted really fresh themselves!! The korean corndog was big and the cheese pull was there! Definitely would come back for a drink or snack whenever I'm at the mall! read more

BOBA. If boba is what you mainly sell I would hope that it's a least fresh and good. Personally I hate when the boba balls feel as if they were left overnight and they turn hard. Most if not all of them weren't even chewy just hard and that was very disappointing considering it was 6.50... and it's $1.00 more to change to oat milk. But it was very sweet and I personally enjoy my drinks sweet but there should be an option to change it. There was only one worker in the front handling making drinks and taking orders so it took some time for the drinks to come out. I had the time to wait but if you're in a rush it Can very inconvenient. But the worker was very nice and kept it very clean. read more

Shortly after opening I knew I'd have the best chance of a short wait and no line and I was right . No line at all . I was quickly greeted and told to order when ready . I loved looking at all the options and customizations offered in the menu . I ordered a C6 or a corn dog with half cheese and half sausage covered in hot Cheeto dust . As I waited I looked at the decor which went with the restaurant, a neon sign and examples of what the food looks like . The examples are helpful if it's your first time ordering. After a short wait my food came out hot and packaged to go . My first bite was so tasty and cheesy. I ate the whole thing . I absolutely loved it . read more

The people were cool and fast too. The drinks were a bit too sweet for me tho and I didn't like that. And the candy covered fruit kept sticking to my teeth like it was hard to chew it or even open my mouth after taking a bite. It was a nice experience tho. read more

Haven't been to the mall in forever! Did not know there's a new boba/dessert place here besides bobatime! It's a super cute place in the food court. I ordered a strawberry yogurt smoothie along with a churro flavored mochi donut! I did not know the drinks automatically came with boba so I had to interrupt the person working on drinks to inform them no boba for my drink. Thankfully he hasnt started on it yet so he was really kind on that slight last minute adjustment to the order. Anyways I enjoyed both the drink and the donut! Felt very refreshing after walking around the mall a lot! If I ever go back to the mall, I know I'll stop by here again! :D read more

I have not tried mochi donuts previously so these donuts were perfect for a first-timer like me. They had the 3+1 going on so I had the fresh strawberry, cookie monster, ube, and churro as my +1 donut. I gave away the churro mochi donut so I am not quite sure how it was but I was able to taste all the rest. I love the chewy texture the donuts had and they were all delightfully flavored. I could not really distinguish each flavor from one another if I had blindfold on but they were all delicious and went well with my coffee. I haven't had the chance to try their drinks or other desserts but I am glad they have this place at the mall, conveniently located at the food courts. read more

From order to end, worst experience. I understand having teens working in the mall. But when they have no respect or any manners when it comes to their jobs customers that's when it becomes a problem. Customer service is TERRIBLE. Asked for no sauce and got sauce on my k-corn dog. When asked for it to be remade cashier got aggressive saying I wouldn't be able to have it made the way I want(with no sauce). That they've never made it custom. I'm a frequent customer and have asked for it the same way multiple times with no issue. Manager refused to give a refund. Cook had to come out and had to agree to remake it right. Completely unprofessional attitude from the cashier. Will not be returning. read more

I can't exactly comment on the service because I used the kiosk to order. You can order with a person or use the kiosk to the right of the order window. It's a little confusing because the kiosk to order from is underneath the pick up side of the window. However the corndogs I ordered were very tasty. I have no complaints on the actual food. The mustard and ketchup ratio on the dog wasn't overwhelming. The potato was cooked well to where it was just the right amount of crunch. On both corndogs I bought the half sausage half cheese. I paid about 13$ for both and decided against sauces on the blue takis dog. The takis were not stale or anything so the flavor of the takis on the dog went together well. read more

The service was absolutely terrible. If I can give zero stars I would. The cashier did not greet us at all and when we asked questions about the menu he rolled his eyes. If you don't want to work customer service that's fine but don't take it out on the customers who are interested in trying something new. Anyways the presentation of the food wasn't that great and my drink had to be remade. Overall would not recommend. read more

Devil Angel is inside a strip mall food court I give it 2 stars for getting the bingsoo out quickly It is a basic bingsoo (shaved milk, flavored syrup and fruit with a little whipped cream on top) No additional stars for boba milk tea No green tea option Only matcha U Can't specify any toppings other than regular black pearls in the black milk tea The boba was mushy on outside I don't taste much tea Not sure why but it Reminds me a little like 0% chocolate milk read more

It's u fortunate they no longer serve ice cream as it's probably the first thing that attracted me to go. Their corn dogs are good but they are a bit skimpy with the sauces. Most places you get a side of it and here you just get whatever they drizzle on for you. The boba is also below average. I liked the brown sugar topping but the boba was so inconsistent. Some were okay and some were almost not cooked well. Have yet to try the donuts or candied fruits but overall it's just pretty average or slightly below from what I've experienced. Place looks nice but again it's a bit of false advertising since they don't have the ice cream anymore and it says on the sign. read more

I have had the Korean dog twice now and I really enjoyed it both times as the cheese is gooey and the potato topping is never burnt and just an enough amount of crisp. The Tai tea and Taro tea are good. For someone that doesn't like boba, there's has some flavor and is easy to chew. The Vietnamese coffee was not good and tasted like a vanilla coffee from the gas station. read more
